RF SECURE Bluetooth®-Control
Assembly Instructions and general information

1. General information
Thank you for choosing the RF-SECURE Bluetooth® controller for secure access management. The
control system is used to control activation for roller shutters, roller grilles, awnings, barriers and
simple switching operations. The connection and the programming are easy and fast to implement.
The assembly has to take place in a dry environment. The electrical connection has to be done by a
qualified technician.
The Bluetooth® control is activated with the smartphone via an app. For this, Bluetooth® has to be
activated on the smartphone. To enable better range, the antenna and control are separate devices.
The person who signs in first is automatically the administrator. The administrator can manage up to
50 users.
The app is available for download at www.rf-secure.de. Up-dates will be available for further
operating systems.
Additionally you need screws for assembly.
The RF-SECURE Bluetooth® control can be set to the factory settings when you press and hold the
reset button for 5 seconds. Now the control is ready again for a first sign-on and a new
administration authorization. Please note that all user logins are deleted during a reset.

3. Assembly instructions and connection diagram
The control can be mounted with two screws or with cable ties. The electrical connection should only
be carried out by a specialist in accordance with the circuit diagrams.
The modular antenna has been developed to ensure a safe reception. The RF-SECURE Bluetooth®
controller can be permanently installed. Then plug the antenna into the control. For good reception,
place the antenna as optimally as possible.
Therefore start the App (see section 4.1) and stand at the point from which the control has to be
operated.
The circle next to the device name indicates the reception strength:
–very good reception, –good reception or –no reception. If the antenna is correctly
positioned, stick it with the Velcro system.

If the antenna is aligned, pull the film on the
back of the Velcro system. Then attach a
part to the back of the antenna and the
other part where the antenna has to be
attached.

4. Master-App
4.1. Installation / Programming
a. Download the RF SECURE-App from the Website www.rf-secure.deAfter the installation on your
smartphone, this icon appears:
b. You have to share your location on your smartphone with RF-SECURE.
c. Connect the RF-SECURE Bluetooth® control as described in point 3. In your App appears
RF-SECURE. Now assign a device name. The person who signs in at first is automatically the
administrator and has the Master-App feature (see section 4.2). If the device is already installed,
press the reset-button on the side.
d. The administrator can be changed by resetting the device to the factory settings. Therefore press
the reset-button on the side.
e. For each action menu the admins smartphone has to be connected with the controller.

4.2. Features
a. The administrator decides which user is allowed to sign in.
b. The administrator assigns user names and generates a password for each user. The password
includes 4 characters (letters, special characters or numbers). This password can be used only once.
If a user loses his smartphone, he has to get a new password. The old one becomes automatically
ineffective.
c. The administrator can delete users –even without their consent.
d. The administrator can change the device name or system time via his smartphone.
e. Up to 50 users can be managed with the App by the administrator. It is possible to manage more
than 50 users by a special version.
f. The administrator can retroactively see up to 20 switching operations with date, time and name on
his smartphone. He can see in his App which user on which date and at what time used the
RF-SECURE Bluetooth® control.
Mount the control so that it is
accessible only to authorized persons.

4.3. User interface
The three menu-dots are grey
only in the master app.
The time/date settings are transferred from
your smartphone. You just need to click OK.
Clicking on the three dots on
the upper right will open the
menu which is accessible only
to the administrator.
The admin assigns the
device´s name. In this
example, "Einstein"
has been assigned.
The last 20 actions can be seen in the
timestamp. Each user name is displayed
at which time he has opened or closed
the gate, the shutter, etc.

5. New user
5.1. Registration
a. Download the App from www.rf-secure.de on your Smartphone.
b. You can enter your user name and password which is given from the administrator.
This password can be used only once.
c. Now you can use the open- and close-function on the user interface.
5.2 User interface
New users can be
created under user
settings.
Under „generate
password“, a new
password is displayed,
which you pass on to
the user.
When the user has
used the password, it
is displayed in the
overview with the
respective user.
As soon as you are connected to the
controller, you can use the gate, barrier
etc.
