EN Kitchen Scale
User'smanual
■ Prior to using this appliance, please read the user'smanual thoroughly, even in cases,
when one has already familiarised themselves with previous use of similar types of
appliances. Only use the appliance in the manner described in this user’smanual.
Keep this user'smanual in asafe place where it can be easily retrieved for future use.
We recommend saving the original cardboard box, packaging material, purchase
receipt and responsibility statement of the vendor or warranty card for at least the
duration of the legal liability for unsatisfactory performance or quality. In the event
of transportation, we recommend that you pack the appliance in the original box
from the manufacturer.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SCALE

Inserting and replacing batteries
■ The scale is powered using 4× 1.5V type AA alkaline batteries.
■ Remove the battery compartment cover. Insert new batteries of the same type
– see figure B. Ensure correct polarity as shown at the bottom of the battery
compartment. After inserting them, put the cover back on.
■ When "Lo" appears on the display, the batteries are flat and it is necessary to replace
them with new ones. When replacing them, proceed in the same manner as when
inserting batteries.
Turning the scale on / off
■ Place the scale on an even, dry surface. It is important that the scale stands on
all 4 feet. Only in this way will accurate weighing / functionality of the scale be
achieved.
■ Short press the ON / OFF / TARE A4 button and "HELLO" will temporarily appear on
the display A3 followed by "0" being displayed. Place the ingredients that you wish
to weigh on the scale and the display A3 will show their weight.
■ When you have finished using the scale, hold down the ON / OFF / TARE A4 button
for approx. 2 seconds to turn the scale off.
Note:
The scale will automatically turn off after approx. 60 seconds of inactivity.
Unit selection
■ Repeatedly press MODE / HOLD A2 to switch between the metric and imperial units
in the following order: g – kg – oz – lb:oz.
TARE function
■ These functions are used for setting the weight of the container to zero when this
weight is not intended to be added to the total weight of the ingredients, and for
weighing additional ingredients.
■ Place the container on to the scale and wait until the weight is shown on the display
A3. Before placing another item on to the scale, press button ON / OFF/ TARE A4.
This will set the value shown on the display A3 to zero. Now you may add another
item and repeat the above described procedure.
■ When the container is removed from the scale, the display A3 will show anegative
value. Press the ON / OFF / TARE A4 button and the display A3 will again show "0".
HOLD function
■ This function makes it possible to retain the value of the weighed ingredients / items
on the display A3 even after they are taken off the scale, e.g. when the ingredients
cover up the display A3 during the weighing process.
■ Hold down button MODE / HOLD A2 for approx. 2 seconds and the symbol " "
will appear on the display.
■ Place the container with the ingredients or the item that you wish to weigh on to
the scale. The weight will appear on the display A3 and the appliance will beep.
■ The weighing result will appear on the display A3 until you carry out further
weighing with aweight greater than 5 g.
■ To deactivate the HOLD function, hold down the button MODE / HOLD A2 for
approx. 2 seconds. The symbol " " will disappear from the display A3.
Error messages
Display What to do
Lo Batteries are flat. Replace the batteries. More information in
chapter "Inserting and replacing batteries".
EEEE The maximum weighing capacity of the scale is exceeded. Remove
the ingredients from scale to prevent damaging it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
■ To clean the scale, use a soft sponge lightly dampened in warm water. Wipe dry
using aclean wiping cloth.
■ For cleaning, do not use steel wool, cleaning products with an abrasive effect,
solvents, etc. Otherwise, the surface of the appliance may be damaged.
■ Do not submerge the scale under water or any other liquid and do not rinse it under
running water.

Dispose of used packaging material at asite designated for waste in your municipality.
DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERIES
Batteries contain environmentally damaging compounds and,
therefore, do not belong in standard communal waste. Hand over
used batteries for proper disposal at locations intended for their
collection.
DISPOSAL OF USED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC
EQUIPMENT
This symbol on products or original documents means that used
electric or electronic products must not be added to ordinary
municipal waste. For proper disposal, renewal and recycling, hand
over these appliances to determined collection points. Alternatively,
in some European Union states or other European countries you may
return your appliances to the local retailer when buying an equivalent
new appliance.
Correct disposal of this product helps save valuable natural resources
and prevents potential negative effects on the environment and human health, which
could result from improper waste disposal. Ask your local authorities or collection
facility for more details.
In accordance with national regulations penalties may be imposed for the incorrect
disposal of this type of waste.
