To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the oor/wall in
accordance with the installation instructions.
Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device,

- Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the
television set or its controls.
If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same
considerations as above should be applied.

If an outside antenna is connected to the television equipment, be sure
the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against
voltage surges and built-up static charges. Section 810 of the National
Electrical Code provides information with respect to proper grounding
of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an
antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna
discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the
grounding electrode.

Important Safety Instructions

outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11) Only use the attachments/accessories specied by the manufacturer.
12) Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table
specied by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when
moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury
from tip-over.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as
power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have
fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture,
does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Before Installation
Operation and Storage Requirements
The ambient temperature for operating the device is between -40 to
+120 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not install the device in the proximity
of heat sources, such as heating pipes, heaters, furnaces or other
devices that radiate heat. Mount the device in such a way that it is
protected against moisture. Trouble free operation is ensured up
to 75% air humidity. To prevent re or electric shock, never allow
liquids to enter the unit. The uninstalled product must be stored
in dry and well-ventilated rooms, without extreme temperature
uctuations. Heat sources and aggressive active substances may
not be stored in the proximity of the device. The required storage
temperature is 32° F - 140° F at an air humidity of 5 - 85% RH non-
condensing. The device must be stored in the complete packaging,
as delivered.
Installation
Have this product installed by qualied personnel only. Use the
mounting systems which are specied or recommended by Séura.
Install the product in a way that it is xed properly and take care
that children are not exposed to danger. Please take extra care
during installation, avoid impacts. Before cabling your monitor,
check that the power is off. To avoid any possibility of electric
shock, always connect your equipment to properly grounded
outlets. Use of power cords or adapters other than those provided
may cause re or malfunction. Place this product as close to the
power socket as possible. Leave enough space to insert and
remove the power plug on demand. Even if you switch off the
product with your remote control, power is not cut off unless the
power cord is unplugged or the power switch is in the off position.
The device may only be operated with the provided power adapter.
The rated voltage is indicated on the product label. The device
is factory-set to the optimal operating voltage (see Technical
Specication). Use only power cords and plugs that are suitable for
your local electrical outlets. Install the power cord in such a way
that it does not obstruct anyone. Ensure furthermore that the cable
is not clamped and that it cannot be pulled out accidentally from
the power adapter. Do not install the power cords in the proximity
of heating elements and never place heavy items on the cable or
power adapter. Do not modify or arbitrarily repair the power cords.
IMPORTANT
The TV should not be installed directly over a at surface
if heavy or driving rain may puddle and splash up onto the
lower portion of the TV.
Direct sunlight on the TV screen will heat internal components
and should be avoided.

components can be destroyed if the polarity is reversed or an incorrect
connection is used. A goodwill replacement is not possible in such cases,
since each device is submitted to meticulous quality inspections prior to
shipping. The connecting plugs must be attached in such a way that the
connector is held rmly. Have trained technical personnel install the electrical
facilities necessary for mounting. Connect the power cord to a grounded
GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) protected outlet. Never cut or damage
the power cord.
Please disconnect the device from the power outlet in the following cases:
1. The device is out of use for a lengthy period.
2. The device malfunctions or displays other unusual features, necessitating
maintenance work.
3. During a thunderstorm.
Please plan the positioning of the power outlet and the source cables
before proceeding with the structural measures and positioning of the Séura
Weatherproof Television.

NOTE
Make sure the power source circuits are properly grounded. Use the supplied
power cord in order to connect it to the power source. If your installation
requires a different power cord, be sure to use an ofcially approved power
cord displaying the mark of the safety agency that denes the regulations for
power cords in your country. Please consider that the AC outlet for the power
adapter is placed within reach of the Séura Weatherproof Television and
should be easily accessible in case it needs to be powered off.
Install the unit in an environment where the operating ambient temperature
will not exceed 60°C / 140°F. Ensure that your installation complies with your
national and local safety rules. Any servicing, adjustment, maintenance or
repair must be performed only by service-trained personnel.
Ensure the power outlet is installed in an accessible location, to access it
easily in case of a defect.

Preparing for Installation
Installation Environment
Avoid direct light or sun exposure, direct proximity
to heat sources. Do not place any heat sources such
as radiators and heat registers, etc. near the monitor.
To reduce eye strain, avoid installing the Séura
Weatherproof Television against a bright background
such as a window. Position the monitor at the height of
your eye level. Position the monitor directly in front of
you at a comfortable viewing distance.
Recommended Location
Séura’s Storm Ultra Bright weatherproof television has been designed to perform
outdoors. Even on a cloudy day, there is much more light outdoors than inside your
home. For best viewing, it is recommended to install in a location where the TV is
shaded, with the screen oriented away from direct sunlight.
Storm Ultra Bright has been engineered to perform trouble free even if rain or snow
falls directly on the unit. However, you may wish to choose a sheltered location or
cover the TV when not in use to reduce the frequency that the TV needs to be cleaned.
Preparing the Installation Site
When locating the junction box for the power and content cables, ensure the location and method of installation complies with all local codes for
outdoor use.
Selecting a Wall Mount
Séura’s Storm Ultra Bright weatherproof television is mounted using a standard VESA
pattern on the back of the unit. VESA wall mounts are sold separately.

Ensure that the wall mount you choose is rated to hold at least the weight of the TV.
Also verify that the wall or mounting surface can support the necessary mounting
hardware and weight of the television.
Depending on the VESA mount, the bracket may cover part of the hot air outlet in the
back of the product. The bracket should not cover more than 1/3 of the opening.
Clearance of 1-1/4″is required on the top, sides, and bottom of the product.

Installation Instructions
1) Prepare for Installation
• Séura recommends preparing a soft, horizontal surface (such as a table with a blanket) within close proximity to the installation location
so the TV may be positioned at while cable connections are made.
• Have all tools related to installing the wall mount (not included) prepared and ready for use.
• Ensure that power outlet and content source have been adequately installed and appropriate for the outdoor location.
2) Install Wall Mount (sold separately)
• Install the wall mount according the the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring that the weight of the TV is within the specied weight of
the wall mount.
• Make all necessary power and content cable connections and verify that the remote or control system functions correctly.
• Do not cover more than 1/3 of the hot air outlet with bracketry on the back of the TV.
3) Hang TV
• Hang the TV according to the wall mount manufacturer's instructions.
• Place a loop in the slack of the cable and secure with a zip tie or cable strap to ensure water drips freely away from the TV or wall outlet.
• Verify all content feeds and use of remote and/or control system.

Care and Maintenance
Please follow the guidelines listed for proper television care and cleaning:
• The glass surface can be cleaned with any conventional non-ammoniated glass cleaner. Care should be taken to use only a soft lint-free cloth.
Apply all cleaners directly to the cloth and not the glass surface. Never saturate the glass surface as residual cleaner may seep behind the glass.
• Stubborn spots can be removed with solvents such as mineral spirits, de-natured alcohol, and acetone. Immediately remove solvent and dirt
residues per the prescribed methods above with a compatible glass cleaner or water.
• We recommend using a Séura dust cover when the weatherproof television is not in use.
• Clean the air intake lters on a regular basis, especially in dusty environments.

Connecting Video and Audio
The Weatherproof Television features one Component, two
Composites, one VGA, one Coax Input for Antenna or Cable, and three
HDMI inputs. Séura recommends using the HDMI inputs for best video
and sound quality.

port, one VGA video input, one VGA audio, analog audio line out,
one coaxial digital audio out, and one optical digital audio out. Séura

Connect an external USB media source to the USB socket to display
photos, play music or install a software update.
In order to have access to the USB port after installation Séura
recommends installing a USB extension cable.
The +12VDC (green) and +5VDC (pink) output jacks are used to power
Baluns and Extenders.

With the RS-232 interface (RJ45 female) you can connect a serial cable
for communication with an automation system, PC, etc. See page 17
for more instructions. This jack also has IR in and out, with or without
carrier.
