SAFETY INFORMATION

SAFETY NOTE ABOUT LISTENING LEVELS:
To protect your hearing, the headphones should always be used at as low a
volume as possible. We recommend that you strictly follow the guidelines
established by the U.S. Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA)
regarding maximum time exposure at various sound pressure levels (SPL):
• Don’t use this product for more than 8 hours at 90 dB SPL
• Don’t use this product for more than 4 hours at 95 dB SPL
• Don’t use this product for more than 2 hours at 100 dB SPL
• Don’t use this product for more than 1 hour at 105 dB SPL
• Don’t use this product for more than 1/2 hour at 110 dB SPL
• Don’t use this product for more than 15 minutes at 115 dB SPL
• Don’t operate at listening levels of greater than 120 dB SPL

IMPORTANT NOTE!
Pay close attention to what your ears may be telling you. Ringing is a sign
that gain levels are set too high and damage could result. We recommend
that you consult with a qualified audiologist if you exhibit ringing or any
other symptoms.
OPERATION
1. Find the “L” and “R” descriptors on the headphone cable ends.
2. Connect the appropriately matched cable end to the left and right
sides of the headphone. The headphone left and right-side descriptors
can be found on the inside of the headband.
3. Plug the other end of the cable into your device.
4. Do not place headphones on your head until after they are making
sound to ensure safe listening levels.
5. Mic and Remote Operation
a. The microphone is separated from the remote to provide better
vocal clarity and an easier-to-use remote.
b. Remote functions are for use with Apple products.

NOTE:
The Canfield Headphones are designed specifically to perform with any
smartphone, portable media player or tablet. For a truly critical listening
experience, combine any of the Canfield Headphones with a headphone
amplifier.
CARE
Every piece of handcrafted leather is completely unique, and each item’s
individual characteristics and color will naturally mature through daily
use and exposure to the elements, adding to its appeal. We recommend
treating your Shinola leather good with our Neutral Shoe Cream, which
will extend the life of the leather and contribute to the quality of its
appearance. Please note that water stains may occur when the product
gets wet, and color may transfer by rubbing. Care should be taken when
wearing white or light-colored garments.
No regular maintenance is required; occasionally wipe clean with the
provided polishing cloth.
Avoid placing your headphones on a dummy head or any similar object
for long periods of time as this will widen the headband and reduce the
clamping pressure of the headphone.
Always keep the product dry and do not expose it to extreme
temperatures.

WARRANTY
Shinola/Detroit, LLC audio products described below (each a “Shinola
Detroit . Product”) are under warranty for two (2) years from the date of
original retail purchase (the “Warranty Period”). The applicable Shinola
Detroit Products under this warranty include the following: The Canfield
Pro Headphones, The Canfield Over-Ear Headphones, The Canfield On-
Ear Headphones and The Canfield In-Ear Monitors.
WHAT’S COVERED:
Shinola Detroit warrants to the original purchaser that the Shinola Detroit
Product will be free of defects related to manufacturing, parts, materials,
and workmanship under normal and accepted use in accordance with
Shinola Detroit’s published guidelines. Shinola Detroit’s guidelines include
but are not limited to information contained in technical specifications,
user manuals and service communications.
WHAT’S NOT COVERED:
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper or
unreasonable use or maintenance; cosmetic damage, including but not
limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic; failure to follow operating
instructions; accident; excess moisture; excess temperature; power
surges; connections to improper voltage supply; unauthorized alteration
or modification of original condition; damage caused by a third party
product used with a Shinola Detroit Product; products purchased from
unauthorized dealers; service performed by any party other than an
authorized Shinola Detroit Service Provider; or defects incurred during
transportation (claims must be presented to the carrier).

WHAT WE WILL DO:
During the Warranty Period, we will, at our sole discretion and to the
extent permitted by law, repair or replace (using new or refurbished parts)
the Shinola Detroit Product which is covered pursuant to the terms of this
warranty.
WHAT WE WILL NOT DO:
Except as stated below, pay shipping, insurance or transportation charges
from you to us, or any import fees, duties and taxes. If the Shinola Detroit
Product is covered by this warranty and is provided to us within the first
30 days of the Warranty Period, then we will reimburse you for shipping
charges. If the Shinola Detroit Product you send to us is not covered by
this warranty, you will be charged the shipping costs. All claims must be
sent to Shinola Authorized Service Providers only.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION AND LIMITATIONS
WARRANTY REPLACEMENTS:
Shinola Detroit strives to improve the performance of our products,
and therefore reserves the right to make changes to our design/
specifications/materials at any time without notification. Shinola Detroit
may, at its discretion, choose to replace the Shinola Detroit Product
completely with a new or remanufactured product. In the event of product
obsolescence, a suitable replacement will be chosen based upon the
features, the intended use (as determined by Shinola Detroit) and the
retail price of the original Shinola Detroit Product.
PRODUCT:
All warranty replacements are guaranteed for 90 days or until the
conclusion of the Warranty Period of the original Shinola Detroit Product,
whichever period is greater. Shinola Detroit does not provide advance
replacements for Shinola Detroit Products.
DETERMINING AUTHORITY:
Shinola Detroit will be the final determining authority for all potential
warranty claims for service and/or replacement.
OTHER CONDITIONS/RIGHTS:
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM
EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHINOLA/DETROIT LLC IS NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL.
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION,
OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED

REMARQUE IMPORTANTE :
reconnaissez les signes que pourraient vous envoyer vos oreilles. Un
bourdonnement des oreilles indique que le volume est trop fort; vos

CONSIGNES GÉNÉRALES D’UTILISATION
1. Trouver les descripteurs « L » et « R » aux extrémités du câble du
casque d’écoute.
2. Brancher l’extrémité « L » du câble dans le casque d’écoute, du
côté où se trouve le descripteur « L » (regarder l’intérieur du casque
d’écoute pour trouver le descripteur). Répéter avec l’extrémité « R » et
le descripteur « R » sur le casque d’écoute.
3. Brancher l’autre extrémité du câble dans l’appareil.
4. Vérifier le volume avant de poser le casque d’écoute sur vos oreilles.
5. Utilisation du micro et de la télécommande
a. Le micro ne se trouve pas sur la télécommande. Il serait ainsi plus
facile de vous entendre et la manette sera plus facile à utiliser.
b. Les fonctions de la manette sont compatibles avec les produits
Apple.

R E M A R Q U E :
Le casque d’écoute Canfield a été conçu de façon à être compatible avec
tout téléphone intelligent, tout baladeur multimédia et toute tablette. Pour
améliorer votre expérience audio, pensez à combiner le casque d’écoute
Canfield à un amplificateur de casque d’écoute.
CONSIGNES GÉNÉRALES D’ENTRETIEN
Chaque morceau de cuir est taillé et cousu à la main et donc unique. La
couleur et l’unicité de chaque produit changera naturellement au fur et à
mesure de son utilisation et de son exposition aux éléments, le rendant
encore plus attrayant. Nous vous recommandons de protéger votre
produit en cuir Shinola avec notre crème pour chaussure neutre afin de
prolonger la durée de vie du cuir et rehausser la qualité de son apparence.
Il convient de noter que le produit peut présenter des taches d’eau s’il est
mouillé, et que sa couleur pourrait être transférée sur d’autres surfaces
qui viennent en son contact. Faites donc attention si vous portez des
vêtements blancs ou de couleur pâle.
Aucun entretien spécifique n’est à effectuer; il suffit de nettoyer

occasionnellement à l’aide du chiffon à lustrer (fourni).
Ne pas déposer le casque d’écoute sur une tête artificielle ou tout autre
objet similaire pendant une longue période comme cela pourrait élargir le
serre-tête et amoindrir la pression de serrage du casque d’écoute.
Garder le produit au sec et ne pas exposer à des températures extrêmes.
GARANTIE
Les produits audio Shinola/Detroit, LLC décrits ci-dessous (chacun
étant considéré comme « produit Shinola Detroit ») sont sous garantie
pendant deux (2) ans à compter de la date d’origine de l’achat au détail
(la « Période de garantie »). Les produits Shinola Détroit applicables dans
le cadre de cette garantie incluent ce qui suit : Le casque Pro Canfield, le
casque supra-auriculaire Canfield, le casque intra-auriculaire Canfield et
des moniteurs intra-auriculaires Canfield.
CE QUI EST COUVERT :
Shinola Detroit garantit à l’acheteur original que le produit Shinola Detroit

utilisé avec un produit Shinola Detroit ; produits achetés auprès de
concessionnaires non autorisés ; service effectué par une autre personne
que le fournisseur de services Shinola Detroit autorisé ; ou les défauts
consécutifs au transport (les réclamations doivent être présentées au
transporteur).
CE QUE NOUS FERONS :
Pendant la période de garantie, nous, à notre entière discrétion et dans
la mesure autorisée par la loi, réparerons ou remplaçons (en utilisant des
pièces neuves ou remises à neuf) le produit Shinola Detroit qui couvert,
conformément aux termes de cette garantie.
CE QUE NOUS NE FERONS PAS :
Sauf indication contraire, les frais de port, d’assurance ou de transport
de vous à nous, ou les frais d’importation, obligations et taxes, seront à
votre charge. Si le produit Shinola Detroit est couvert par cette garantie
et que celle-ci nous est fournie dans un délai de 30 jours couvrant la
période de garantie, nous vous rembourserons les frais d’expédition. Si le
produit Shinola Detroit que vous nous envoyez n’est pas couvert par cette
garantie, vous devrez payer les frais d’expédition. Toutes réclamations
