Troubleshooting
your BAXJECT®II
Needle-less
Transfer device

If water did not successfully
transfer, do the following:
1. Place the WATER vial on the bottom
If WATER vial
is (correctly)
connected to
CLEAR side
If WATER vial
is (incorrectly)
connected to
WHITE side
If you are having
trouble withdrawing
some or all of the
mixed solution into
the syringe

2. Identify the WHITE
and CLEAR portions of
the BAXJECT II device
3. Determine which side of the device
is connected to the water vial:
White
Solution
Clear
Water
NOTE: If these 3 troubleshooting steps fail to address the
problems you are having, please contact your doctor or
local Hemophilia Treatment Center.
BAXJECT II PRODUCT INFORMATION
Rx Only. For safe and proper use of this device, please refer
to the instructions for use. The BAXJECT II device is intended
for use with a single vial of product and is for single use only.
Therefore, reconstitution and withdrawing a second vial into the
syringe requires a second BAXJECT II device.

SOLUTION VIAL

Scenario A
The WATER vial is CORRECTLY
connected to the CLEAR side of
the BAXJECT II device
Turn the device (with vials attached) over
so that the WATER vial is on top.
Remove the caps from the device and
the syringe.
Connect the syringe to the device.
Pull the plunger back SLOWLY to withdraw
any air from the vials.
This will force water into the PRODUCT vial.
Disconnect the syringe from the device.
Press the plunger to expel any air from
the syringe.
Reconnect the syringe to the device.
Swirl gently until the product
is completely dissolved.
Turn the device (with vials
attached) over so that the
PRODUCT vial is on top.
SLOWLY withdraw the
prescribed amount of mixed
product into the syringe.
Disconnect the syringe.

WATER VIAL
SOLUTION VIAL
WHITE

Scenario B
Keep the WATER vial on the bottom.
Remove the caps from the device
and the syringe.
Connect the syringe to the device.
Pull the plunger back SLOWLY to
withdraw any air from the vials.
Turn device (with vials attached)
over so the WATER vial is on top.
SLOWLY press plunger to inject
all air back into the vials. This will
force water into the bottom vial.
Swirl gently until powder is
completely dissolved.
Turn the device (with vials attached) over
so that the PRODUCT vial is on top.
SLOWLY withdraw all air into the syringe by
pulling the plunger back.
This draws mixed solution into the bottom vial.
Disconnect the syringe.
Press the plunger to expel all the air
from the syringe.
Reconnect the syringe to the device.
Turn the device (with vials
attached) over so that the vial
containing mixed solution is on top.
SLOWLY pull back the plunger to
withdraw the prescribed amount of
mixed solution into the syringe.
Disconnect the syringe.
The WATER vial is INCORRECTLY
connected to the WHITE side of
the BAXJECT II device

PRODUCT VIAL

Scenario C
Pull the plunger back SLOWLY to withdraw
any air from the vials.
This will force water into the PRODUCT vial.
Disconnect the syringe from the device.
Press the plunger to expel any air from
the syringe.
Reconnect the syringe to the device.
Swirl gently until the product
is completely dissolved.
Turn the device (with vials attached) over
so that the PRODUCT vial is on top.
SLOWLY withdraw the prescribed amount
of mixed product into the syringe.
Disconnect the syringe.
If you have withdrawn some solution
into the syringe, but cannot withdraw
the full volume, inject all of the mixed
solution in the syringe back into the
device. Turn device (with vials attached)
over so that the WATER vial is on top.
If you cannot withdraw
any solution into the
syringe, turn the device
(with vials attached) over
so that the WATER vial is
on top.
There is trouble withdrawing
some or all of the mixed product
into the syringe
First, make sure that the PRODUCT vial is on top.
