FCC Requirement
This device has been certified to comply with the limits for a Class B computing device pursuant to Subpart J of Part 15 of

1.3 Specifications

2. Hardware Installation
2.1 Hardware Installation
1. Turn off your computer FIRST. Remove the case and insert this TV tuner/Capture
card into your computer’s PCI slot. Make sure the adapter card is well seated in
the slot, then fasten it with screws. Then Replace case.
2. Connect the CATV/VHF/UHF antenna and FM radio antenna to the tuner-input
port of adapter.

3. Plug one end of audio cable into ‘AUDIO
OUT’ input and the other end plugs into
the ‘LINE IN’ of the sound card or
motherboard
P.S. Low-profile version : Please use 1 to
4 Multi-cable plugs into the ‘LINE IN’ of
the sound card or motherboard.
4. Plug in Remote Receiver into ‘Remote’.

When you plug-in or remove the connector of the receiver ever

5. After completing the above, you may begin to install the software.
2.2 Connecting to otherAV devices
Type 1 and Type 2
This TV tuner/Capture card provides two-types of Video Input. One is Composite
Video input, the other one is S-Video input, and there is another connector for audio
line in.

This TV tuner/Capture card provides 4 to 1 cable. One is Composite Video input, the
other one is S-Video input, remote connector and there is another connector for audio
out (please plugs into the Motherboard Line in ).

3. Software Installation
3.1 Driver Installation

Driver CD to the CD-ROM drive.

3.3 DirectX Installation
There is no need to reinstall DirectX if it is already in your system and its version is 8.1a
or later. You can install DirectX 9.0C from the installation CD, please click-on
“DirectX”.

click “Next” on this message box.

Click “Next” to install DirectX.
Notice: After installing the DirectX, your computer will be restarted if you click the
button “Finish”.

4. Introducing Honestech TVR
4.1 Chapter 1 Introducing Honestech TVR
Thank you for choosing the honestech TVR.
The honestech TVR is a software program that captures full motion video from
various video input sources and compresses them into small high quality MPEG
file.
It can be used to produce your own video CD or for other professional purposes
It takes television signals and records them onto your hard drive. You have all
the convenience of a VCR (recording, playback, fast forwarding, rewinding, and
pausing) without having to rewind any tape. Here are the requirements and

zTVR will run on Microsoft Windows 2000, or Windows XP. A Pentium 3
or AMDAlthon 700 MHz processor is required. (Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz is
recommended for DVD format recorder file.)

An additional 500 MB of space will be needed working with files.
