Cancelling the programme

Programmes at low temperatures:

The spin speed and temperature canbe change d either before or while the selecte d programme runs. The effect this h as
will depend on how f ar the programme has already run.

You can change the di splayed washing temperature. The maximum washing temperature that canb e selected depends
on the programme that has bee n set.
ʑŴƔƝƘƊƍƐ(Spin speed in rpm) / c(Rins e Hold = no Final spin)
You can change the spin speed shown or select c(Rinse Hold = no Final spin, laundry rem ains in the water after the
last rinse, ---appears in thed isplay panel.) You can change the spin speed shown. The maximum selectable spin spe ed
depends on the model and on which prog ramme is currently selected.
ʑŜƔƐƊƍƐƓƆ:(Finished in)
When you select the programme, the relevant progr amme duration is displayed. You can delay the st art of the programme
before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of one hour up to a maximum of 24 hours. Press the
ŰƨƤƞơƤƧƚ:(Finished i n) button repeatedly until the desired number of hours is displayed (h = hour).

for approx. 5 seconds.
Note: The childlock can remain a ctivated until you start the next programme, eve n after
switching off the machine.
Then you can deactivate the chi ldlock before starting the programm e and activate it again
as necessary once the programme has started.

To prevent the progra mme from stopping, move th e programme selector back to the

Risk of electric shock – N everpull the cable to disconnect the mains plug!

Important information
Before washing for the fi rst time
Do not put any laundry in the mac hine. Turn the tap on. Pour the following into compa rtmentII:
–approx. 1 litre water
– detergent (dosage according to the manufacturer's instructions for light soiling and according to water hardness)
Turn the programme selector to ŻƩƖƔƧƝƜƨƖ/ƈƩƢƝƚƨƞƟƑ(E asy-care) 60 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ( Start/Reload).
At the end of the programme, tur nth e programme selector to Off.
Protecting the laundr y and the machine
– When determining the dosage of all wa shing powders, additives and cleaning agents, you must follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
– Empty pockets.
– Look out for m etal items (paperclips, etc.).
– Wash delicates in a la undry bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
– Fasten zips, do up any button s.
– Brush sand out of pockets and coll ars.
– Remove curtain fittings or place in the laundry bag.
Loading laundr y
Load items of laundry of varying sizes.
Take care not to trap items of laundry between the washing mac hine door and the rubber seal.
Laundry with varyi ng degrees of soiling
Wash new items of clothing separately.

Pretreat any stains as necessary.

–After approx. 10 minutes, press ŴƦƚƩƧƠ/ƆƖƱƧƜ(Start/Reload) to stop the pr ogramme.
–Once the required soaking time h as elapsed, press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Reload) again toc ontinue the
programme, or change to a different prog ramme.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Starching is possible in all wash programmes if liquid starch is used. Pour starch into the ~fabric softener
compartment in accordance with t hem anufacturer's instructions (rinse first if necessary).
Dyeing/bleaching
Dye should only be used in normal household quantities. Sa ltm ay damage stainless steel. Always follow the dye
manufacturer's instructions. Do not use the washing machine for bleaching clothes.
Outdoor + ţƅƊƂƃƑƐƗ. Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener.
(Outdoor+Impre gnation) Clean the detergent drawer thoroughly to remove fabric softener residue.
Special detergent and waterproofing a gent suitable for machine washing are available from sports shops.
Dosage according to the manuf acturer's instructions:
1. Place the special detergent for outdoor cloth ing in compartment II an d
2. pour waterproofing agent (max. 170 ml) into compartment~.
Move the programme selector to Outdoor + ŷƙƞƖƗƥƤƫ.(Outdoor+Impregnation). Set the temperature.
Press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(St art/Reload). Final treatment of the laundry in a ccordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.

Leave the detergent drawer open so that any residual water can evap orate.

Information about blockages
Detergent solution p ump
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains p lug.
1. Open and remove the service fla p.
2. Take the drainage hose out o f the retainer.
Remove the sealing cap, allow the detergent solution to flow o ut.
Push the sealing cap back on.
3. Unscrew the pump cover carefully (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump h ousing (the impeller in the detergent
solution pump must be able to r otate).
5. Replace the pump cover and scre w it on tightly. The handle points upright. Replace the
drainage hose in the holder.
6. Refit the service flap and close it.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing straight into the drai ndur ing the next wash:
Pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and start programme ŮƢƨƠƜƧƜƢƚƥƤƱ(Drain).
Drainage hose at the s iphon
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
1. Loosen the hose clamp, remo ve the drainage hose carefully (residual water).
2. Clean the drainage hose and siphon connecti ngp iece.
3. Reattach the drainage hose and secure the connection with the hose clamp.

The spin speed and temperature can be changed either before or while the selected programme runs. The effect this has
will depend on how far the programme has already run.

You can change the displayed washing temperature. The maximum washing temperature that can be selected depends
on the programme that has been set.
ʑŴƔƝƘƊƍƐ(Spin speed in rpm) / c(Rinse Hold = no Final spin)
You can change the spin speed shown or select c(Rinse Hold = no Final spin, laundry remains in the water after the
last rinse, ---appears in the display panel.) You can change the spin speed shown. The maximum selectable spin speed
depends on the model and on which programme is currently selected.
ʑŜƔƐƊƍƐƓƆ:(Finished in)
When you select the programme, the relevant programme duration is displayed. You can delay the start of the programme
before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of one hour up to a maximum of 24 hours. Press the
ŰƨƤƞơƤƧƚ:(Finished in) button repeatedly until the desired number of hours is displayed (h = hour).

for approx. 5 seconds.
Note: The childlock can remain activated until you start the next programme, even after
switching off the machine.
Then you can deactivate the childlock before starting the programme and activate it again
as necessary once the programme has started.

To prevent the programme from stopping, move the programme selector back to the

is possible.

ʑEnergy saving mode
If the washing machine is switched on and is not operated for several minutes before the programme starts or at the end

Safety instructions

Important information
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any laundry in the machine. Turn the tap on. Pour the following into compartment II:
–approx. 1 litre water
– detergent (dosage according to the manufacturer's instructions for light soiling and according to water hardness)
Turn the programme selector to ŻƩƖƔƧƝƜƨƖ/ƈƩƢƝƚƨƞƟƑ(Easy-care) 60 °C and press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Reload).
At the end of the programme, turn the programme selector to Off.
Protecting the laundry and the machine
– When determining the dosage of all washing powders, additives and cleaning agents, you must follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
– Empty pockets.
– Look out for metal items (paperclips, etc.).
– Wash delicates in a laundry bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
– Fasten zips, do up any buttons.
– Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
– Remove curtain fittings or place in the laundry bag.
Loading laundry
Load items of laundry of varying sizes.
Take care not to trap items of laundry between the washing machine door and the rubber seal.
Laundry with varying degrees of soiling
Wash new items of clothing separately.
light Do not pre-wash. If required, select the additiona ispeed Perfect function.
Pretreat any stains as necessary.
heavy Do not load as much laundry. Select the program with pre-wash.
Soaking Load laundry of the same colour.
–Pour soaking agent/detergent into compartment II in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

–Once the required soaking time has elapsed, press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Reload) again to continue the
programme, or change to a different programme.
Starching Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Starching is possible in all wash programmes if liquid starch is used. Pour starch into the ~fabric softener
compartment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions (rinse first if necessary).
Dyeing/bleaching
Dye should only be used in normal household quantities. Salt may damage stainless steel. Always follow the dye
manufacturer's instructions. Do not use the washing machine for bleaching clothes.
Outdoor + ţƅƊƂƃƑƐƗ. Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener.
(Outdoor+Impregnation) Clean the detergent drawer thoroughly to remove fabric softener residue.
Special detergent and waterproofing agent suitable for machine washing are available from sports shops.
Dosage according to the manufacturer's instructions:
1. Place the special detergent for outdoor clothing in compartment II and
2. pour waterproofing agent (max. 170 ml) into compartment~.
Move the programme selector to Outdoor + ŷƙƞƖƗƥƤƫ.(Outdoor+Impregnation). Set the temperature.

Insert for liquid detergent depending on model
Position the insert for dispensing liquid detergent:
–Remove the detergent drawer completely a page 10.
– Slide the insert forwards.
Do not use the insert (slide upwards):
– for gel detergents and washing powder,
–for programmes with +ƆƥưƠƩƧƜ(Pre-wash) or option ŰƨƤƞơƤƧƚ:(Finished in).
Care
ʑMachine housing, control panel
– Remove detergent residue immediately.
– Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
– Do not clean with a jet of water.
Cleaning the detergent drawer ...
... if it contains detergent or fabric softener residues.
1. Pull out, press insert down, remove drawer completely.
2. To remove the insert: press the insert upwards from below with your finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser tray and insert with water and a brush and dry it.
4. Fit the insert and engage (connect the cylinder to the guide pin).
5. Push in the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that any residual water can evaporate.
ʑDrum
Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry out.
Use chlorine-free cleaning agent, not steel wool.
ʑDescaling Ensure there is no laundry in the machine!
This should not be necessary if the correct detergent dosage has been used. If it is necessary, however, proceed
according to the descaling agent manufacturer's instructions. Suitable descalers can be obtained via our website or
from our after-sales service (

Information about blockages
Detergent solution pump
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
1. Open and remove the service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the retainer.
Remove the sealing cap, allow the detergent solution to flow out.
Push the sealing cap back on.
3. Unscrew the pump cover carefully (residual water).
4. Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (the impeller in the detergent
solution pump must be able to rotate).
5. Replace the pump cover and screw it on tightly. The handle points upright. Replace the
drainage hose in the holder.
6. Refit the service flap and close it.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing straight into the drain during the next wash:
Pour 1 litre of water into compartment II and start programme ŮƢƨƠƜƧƜƢƚƥƤƱ(Drain).
Drainage hose at the siphon
Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
1. Loosen the hose clamp, remove the drainage hose carefully (residual water).
2. Clean the drainage hose and siphon connecting piece.
3. Reattach the drainage hose and secure the connection with the hose clamp.
Filter in the water supply
Risk of electric shock
Do not immerse the HydroSafe safety device in water (it contains an electric valve).
Reduce the water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap.
2. Select any programme (except ƈƖƛƜƚƤƥƚ/ƌƬƵưƢƥƨ(Rinse/Spin)// ŲƦƬƤƠƫƠƦƞƩƨƵ(Drain)).
3. Press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Reload). Let the programme run for approximately 40 seconds.
4. Turn the programme selector to Off.Disconnect the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from the tap.
Clean the filter with a small brush.
and/or for Standard and Aqua-Secure models:
Remove the hose from the back of the appliance,
Remove the filter using pliers and clean the filter.
6. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
Risk of scalding

What to do if...
ʑIn reload mode,

– Water level too high. Not possible to add more laundry. Close the washing machine
door immediately if necessary.
–To continue the programme, press ŰƢƖƥƣƜ/ƊƚƵƫƠ(Start/Reload).
If you cannot correct a fault yourself (switching on/off) or a repair is required:
–Turn the programme selector to Off and remove the mains plug from the socket.
–Turn off the tap and call the after-sales service apage 13.
Emergency release e.g. in the event of a power cut
The programme continues when the power supply is restored. However, if the laundry has to be removed, the washing
machine door can be opened as follows:
Risk of scalding!
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot. If possible, leave to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen through the glass.
1. Turn the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains plug.
2. Drain the detergent solution apage 11.
3. Pull the emergency release downwards with a tool and release.
Washing machine door can then be opened.
