INTRODUCTION
Techla software application has
two passwords
to enter in the menus:
Both passwords can be inserted by pressing in the home page.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO PASSWORDS:
The
BASIC
password is →
09876
and it gives the access to the “first level” menus:
• change the software language
• manage the security password
• update firmware, software and database
• historical file consulting and downloading
The
ADMIN
password is →
987654321
and it gives the access to the whole system:
• engraving areas parameters
• general settings (engraving depth, axis centering, etc.)
• operative system
• status sensors page (I/O button)
The
ADMIN
password leaves the system opened,
so it means that it is always accessible to everybody until it will be closed again.
To close the system read the instructions “HOW TO CLOSE THE SYSTEM”.

HOW TO OPEN THE SYSTEM
If the machine is switched off, switch it on and this screen will appear:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password
987654321
and press
Then proceed with the needed operations.
! A T T E N T I O N !
The
ADMIN
password
OPENS
the system:
it means that the menu remains
accessible
and anybody can use it.
“
CLOSE
” the system to avoid problems!

HOW TO CLOSE THE SYSTEM
There are two ways to close the system.
FIRST METHOD
To
CLOSE
the system, in the home page, press and press “
SET
” button.
This screen will appear:
Press the “
SERVICE COMMAND
” field and the 0 (zero) will become highlighted in GREEN.
In this field, insert the number
9060
and press .
The system is now closed.
SECOND METHOD
Scan this following barcode to the barcode reader:
The system is now closed.

The page that appears after the button is pressed, shows different numbers on the bottom part:

HOW TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE
If the machine is switched off, switch it on and this screen will appear:
Insert the USB flash drive with Firmware saved in, in the frontal panel:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password
09876
, press and this screen will appear:

Press "
UPDATE
" button and this list will appear:
Press to proceed.
The Firmware loading process will start and this screen will appear:
After 5/6 minutes, some different screens will appear automatically.
Then, the Software loading process will start automatically and this screen will appear:

The loading process will take around 5 minutes; this message will appear:
Press “
Close
” button and this screen will appear:
Switch the machine OFF and leave the USB flash drive plugged IN the machine.
Wait 10 seconds and switch the machine ON again.
The home page will appear.
Do not touch anything and wait for this screen:
Remove the USB flash drive.
The update process is finished!

HOW TO UPDATE THE SOFTWARE
Switch the machine ON and wait for the home screen:
Insert the USB flash drive, with the Software files, into the slot on the front of the machine,
as shown in the following photo:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password
09876
and press to proceed.
This screen will appear:

Press "
UPDATE
" button and this list will appear:
Press to proceed and this page will appear:
The loading process will take around 5 minutes.
This message could appear:
Press "
CLOSE
" button and the home screen will appear again.
If the home screen will not appear, switch the machine OFF and wait 10 seconds.
Switch the machine ON again.
This process is now finished.

HOW TO UPDATE THE DATABASE
Switch the machine ON and wait for the home screen:
Insert the USB flash drive, with the Database file, into the slot on the front of the machine,
as shown in the following photo:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password
09876
and press to proceed.
This screen will appear:

UPDATE
" button and this list will appear:
Press to proceed and this page will appear:
The loading process will take around 3 minutes.
At the end, the home screen will appear again.
Remove the USB flash drive.
This process is now finished.

HOW TO UPDATE THE PICTURES
The “pictures” are the preview images (the shape of the bone, for example) shown in the preview step.
To load them, switch the machine ON and wait for the home screen:
Insert the USB flash drive, with the pictures folder, into the slot on the front of the machine,
as shown in the following photo:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password

and press to proceed.

The loading process will take around 5 minutes.
At the end, the home screen will appear again.
Remove the USB flash drive.

HOW TO UPDATE LOGOS AND/OR LOAD PERSONALIZED LOGOS
Before to load personalized screensavers, it is necessary to contact the
MyFamily Technical Assistance to get the suitable files.
Switch the machine ON and wait for the home screen:
Insert the USB flash drive, with the “dxf” folder, into the slot on the front of the machine,
as shown in the following photo:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password
09876
and press to proceed.

Press to proceed and this page will appear:
The loading process will take around 5 minutes.
At the end, the home screen will appear again.
Remove the USB flash drive.
This process is now finished.

HOW TO UPDATE SCREENSAVERS AND/OR PERSONALIZED
SCREENSAVERS
Before to load personalized screensavers, it is necessary to contact the
MyFamily Technical Assistance to get the suitable files.
Switch the machine ON and wait for the home screen:
Insert the USB flash drive, with the screensaver folder, into the slot on the front of the machine,
as shown in the following photo:
Press and this screen will appear:
Insert the password

and press to proceed.

HOW TO INSERT SPECIAL CHARACATERS TO BE ENGRAVED
To insert special characters like letters with accents (
é É á Ć î Ń ñ
etc.)
to be engraved on a tag, in the text input page:
Press and keep pressed the button of the letter you want to put the accent
and a pop-up will appear on the top of the screen:
Press the interested letter and it will appear in the text input field:
This process is now finished!
