INSTALLATION
The installaon must be performed in such a way as to provide for all precauons in case of re or
electric shock. The device is a sub assembled (component). It is the responsability of the manufacturer
or installer of the device in the nal system to ensure that the system is safe.
The installaon of the appliance must be carried out by expert personnel, or by a person with educaon
or experience such as to allow the idencaon of hazards and take appropriate acons to reduce the
risk of injury to themselves and others.
The Air4 Universal Receiver can be installed into old and new automaons.
Air4 Universal Receiver comes with an Air4 remote control (frequency 433-868 MHz). The code for the
Air4 Universal Receiver is already memorised on buon ‘1’, and buons 2, 3 and 4 are blank, ready for
memorising remote controls linked to other automaons (gates, garages, barriers, etc.)
Where to install Air4 Universal Receivers and why
• On automaons where the exisng receiver is full (no further remote controls can be memorised).
• On automaons where the exisng receiver no longer works.
• On automaons where the user wishes to transform an old system with a quartz type remote control
into a rolling code type.
• In automaons where the original remotes are lost or no longer work.
Installing the Air4 Universal Receiver - Switch o the electricity supply
1. Find the gate control unit and open it.
- On sliding gates or barriers the control unit is usually housed in the box containing the electric
motor (Fig.2)

- On swing gates or overhead doors the control unit is usually housed in the box close to the au-
tomaon system (Fig.3).

2. Consult the manual of the original system to idenfy the terminals relang to the power supply
and the appropriate relay contacts. The load connected to the relay contacts must be connected
with the appropriate precauons against re and electric shock respecng the maximum load
values imposed 3A (230 Vac).
3. Connect 2 suitable wires to the power supply terminals (Fig.1- F) on the Universal Receiver and 2
wires to either the relay terminal 1 or the relay 2 terminals (Fig.1- H; G).
4. Connect the 4 wires in parallel to the appropriate terminals on the exisng electronic board.
Consult the original manual if necessary.

5. Your gate, overhead door or barrier is now ready for opening and closing with your Silca remote
control.
Switch on the power supply. The Silca Air4 Universal Receiver is now ready to work.

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS AND TROUBLE SHOOTING
How to insert the buon of an Air4 V remote control back into the Universal Receiver.
This procedure is necessary if:
- The used Air4 V remote control has been lost / broken
- The buon associated with the Air4 Universal Receiver was mistakenly overwrien with another
remote control
Procedure:
• Press buon ‘P’ on the Air4 Universal Receiver for a few seconds unl LED 1/2 ashes; release buon
‘P ’.
Note: With LED L1 on (relay 1 output) press buon ‘P’ to select LED L2 (relay 2 output).
Press the free buon on the AIR4 V remote control (with soware version equal to or above 1.6) unl
LEDs ‘L1’ and ‘L2’ illuminate with a xed light.
• Release the remote control buon.
• When LEDS ‘L1’ and ‘L2’ go out, the AIR4 V buon has been memorised on the receiver.
How to make other copies of a remote control
To make a copy of the Air4 Universal Receiver code (e.g. buon 1) on other remote controls, use a Silca
AIR4 V remote control (with soware version equal to or above 1.6) and follow Silca’s standard copying
instrucons.

COPY PROCEDURE
1. PLACE THE REMOTE CONTROL TO BE CLONED IN FRONT OF THE “AIR4”, AT A DISTANCE OF ABOUT 2 CENTI-
METRES
2. PRESS AND HOLD DOWN BUTTON 1 ON THE “AIR4” REMOTE CONTROL
3. AT THE SAME TIME PRESS BUTTON 4 FOUR TIMES.
4. RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS OF “AIR4” REMOTE CONTROL.
5. “AIR4”REMOTE CONTROL LED WILL FLASH BRIEFLY ABOUT EVERY 2 SEC.
6. PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON TO BE COPIED FROM THE ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL AND WAIT FOR
THE “AIR4” LED TO START FLASHING RAPIDLY, WHICH CONFIRMS THAT THE CODE HAS BEEN ACQUIRED. RELEASE
THE ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROL’S BUTTON.
7. WHILE THE LED IS FLASHING, PRESS THE “AIR4” BUTTON TO WHICH THE CODE MUST BE TRANSFERRED AND
HOLD DOWN UNTIL THE LED GOES OUT.

Further copies can be made using either the Master or Slave remote control. The Master remote
control comes together with the Air4 Universal Receiver, whereas Slave remote controls are the ope-
raonal ones copied later.
IMPORTANT: if you have a Silca AIR4 V remote control (with soware version equal to or above 1.6)
with other automaon buons memorized on it and you make a copy of the Air4 Universal Receiver
code on the same remote control, the memorised automaons will be deleted and will have to be
re-entered.
Note: We recommend memorising the receiver rst, and then the automaons.
Reseng Air4 Universal Receiver
Note: All the remote control buons in the universal receiver will be deleted.
Simultaneously press and hold down buons ‘P’ and ‘S’ for approximately 10 seconds unl LEDs ‘L1’
and ‘L2’ start ashing rapidly; release the buons and wait a few seconds unl the LEDs go out. Air4
Universal Receiver has now been reset.
Deleng a remote control buon on the Air4 Universal Receiver
• Press buon ‘P’ on the Air4 Universal Receiver for a few seconds unl LED ‘L1’ illuminates and ashes
rapidly; release the buon.
• Press buon ‘S’ for a few seconds unl LED ‘L2’ illuminates (both LED ‘L1’ and ‘L2’ illuminated) and
then release the buon.
• Hold down the remote control buon you wish to delete.
• Wait for LEDs ‘L1’ and ‘L2’ to go out.
Technical details of the Air4 Universal Receiver relay outputs
The Air4 Universal Receiver outputs can be programmed in four modes, congurable at any me. The-
se modes can be useful, for example, for controlling courtesy lights on vehicle entrances/pedestrian
paths.
• ON/OFF mode, bistable output
Output is closed when the remote control is pressed and is opened when it is next pressed. Output
status is maintained unl the remote control or any associated remote control is pressed again. A
power failure will take the output to its standby status, i.e. open.
• Impulsive mode (by default the outputs are set in this mode)
When the associated remote control buon is pressed the output relay remains acve unl the remo-
te control buon is released.
• Seconds mer mode
A me in seconds can be set, aer which the output is deacvated. Unless set otherwise, the basic
seng for the mer is 30 seconds. The mer is recharged every me a remote control associated to
the output is pressed.
• Minutes mer mode.
A me in minutes can be set, aer which the output is deacvated.

Changing the mode for the two Air4 Universal Receiver outputs (relay 1/relay 2) from default
mode (impulsive) to another.
• Press buon ‘S’ for ve seconds in order to enter change conguraon for the modes of the two
outputs (relay 1/relay 2); the LED relang to the output seng will ash according to the mode in
which it was programmed.
- LED ashing once: ON/OFF mode
- LED ashing twice: impulsive mode.
- LED ashing three mes: Seconds Timer mode
- LED ashing four mes: Minutes Timer mode
• Press buon ‘P’ to change mode
• To select the next output, press buon ‘S’ unl you leave the output conguraon funcon. To save
the selected sengs, always leave the conguraon mode by pressing ‘S’.
Changing the seconds or minutes mer
• Select one of the two modes to be changed (seconds mer or minutes mer).
• Press buon ‘S’ for approximately 2 seconds, the LED will ash regularly at one second intervals.
• Hold down the buon and count the number of ashes to be set as seconds or minutes (e.g. 3 ashes
equal 3 seconds/minutes).
• Having counted the number of ashes to be set, release buon ‘S’ and the change will be saved.
Understanding when the Air4 Universal Receiver memory is full
When a newly copied code does not work, LED L1 illuminates and LED L2 ashes. In this situaon,
delete a remote control no longer in use.
The Air4 Universal Receiver is compable with Air4 Home and Air4 Home Pro.

INSTALLAZIONE
L'installazione deve essere eseguita un modo da prevedere tue le precauzioni in caso di incendio o
scossa elerica. Il disposivo è un sub assemblato (componente). È responsabilità del costruore o
installatore del disposivo nell'impianto nale assicurarsi che l'impianto sia sicuro.
L'installazione dell'apparecchio deve essere eseguita da personale esperto, ovvero di una persona con
istruzione o esperienza tale da consenre di individuare pericoli e di intraprendere azioni adeguate
per ridurre i rischi di lesioni a sé e ad altri.
Air4 Universal Receiver (ricevente universale) è un disposivo semplice da installare nelle automa-
zioni vecchie e nuove.
Air4 Universal Receiver è corredata di un radiocomando Air4 V (frequenza 433-868 MHz). Nel tasto “1”
è già memorizzato il codice per la gesone dell’Air4 Universal Receiver, mentre i pulsan 2, 3, 4 sono
liberi per memorizzare radiocomandi di altre automazioni (cancelli, garage, sbarre ecc..)
Dove e perché installare Air4 Universal Receiver
• Nelle automazioni dove la ricevente esistente è bloccata. (non si possono inserire ulteriori radioco-
mandi).
• Nelle automazioni dove la ricevente esistente non è funzionante.
• Nelle automazioni dove si vuole trasformare l’automazione vecchia con radiocomando di po quar-
zato in una con un radiocomando rolling code
• Nelle automazioni dove ho perso / roo il radiocomando originale.
Come installare Air4 Universal Receiver - Spegnere la corrente elerica.
1. Individuare la scatola che conene la centralina di pilotaggio dell’automazione e aprirla.
- Per cancelli scorrevoli o barriere la centralina si trova all’interno della “scatola” dove è posiziona-
to il motore elerico dell’automazione (Fig.2).

- Per cancelli a 2 ante o basculan la centralina è posizionata all’interno del quadro di comando
nelle vicinanze dell’automazione (Fig.3).

2. Consultare il manuale del sistema originale per idencare i terminali relavi all'alimentazione e i
conta dei relè appropria.
Il carico collegato ai conta del relè deve essere collegato con le opportune precauzioni contro l'in-
cendio e la scossa elerica rispeando i valori di carico massimo imposto 3A (230 Vac).
3. Collegare 2 cavi ada ai terminali di alimentazione (Fig.1-F) sul ricevitore universale e 2 li al termi-
nale del relè 1 o ai terminali del relè 2 (Fig.1- H; G).
4. Collegare i 4 li in parallelo ai terminali appropria sulla scheda eleronica esistente. Consultare il
manuale originale se necessario.

Nota: il lo dell’antenna della ricevente non deve essere arrotolato e/o piegato ma deve rimanere il
più lineare possibile per consenre una migliore portata del segnale.
5. Ora il cancello, basculante, barriera è pronto per essere aperto/chiuso con l’ulizzo del radiocoman-
do Silca in dotazione.
Accendere l'alimentazione. Il ricevitore universale Silca Air4 è ora pronto per funzionare.

FUNZIONI AVANZATE E RISOLUZIONE PROBLEMI
Come inserire nuovamente il tasto del radiocomando AIR4V nella univesal receiver.
Tale procedura è necessaria se :
- E' stato smarrito / roo il radiocomando AIR4 V ulizzato.
- E' stato per errore sovrascrio il pulsante associato alla AIR4 Universal Receiver con altro radio-
comando
Procedura:
• Premere il tasto “P” di Air4 Universal Receiver per qualche secondo no a quando il led 1/2 lampeg-
gia, rilasciare il tasto “P”.
Nota: con led L1 acceso (uscita relè 1) premere il tasto “P” per selezionare il led L2 (uscita relè 2).
• Premere il tasto libero di un radiocomando AIR4V (con versione soware uguale o superiore alla 1.6)
no a quando i led “L1” e “L2” si accendono a luce ssa).
• Rilasciare il tasto del radiocomando.
• Allo spegnimento dei led “L1”e“L2” il pulsante di AIR4 V è memorizzato nella ricevente.
Nota: è sempre possibile vericare con il disposivo Easy Scan Plus in quale pulsante è stato memo-
rizzato il codice per la gesone della ricevente (con idencazione si ha: AIR4 RECEIVER .
Come fare altre copie del radiocomando
Per eseguire la copia del codice di Air4 Universal Receiver (esempio tasto 1) in altri radiocomandi è
necessario ulizzare un radiocomando Silca AIR4 V (con versione soware uguale o superiore alla 1.6)
seguendo le istruzioni standard Silca di copia.

AIR4 CAMBI LAMPEGGIO (LAMPEGGIO PIU’ VELOCE), A CONFERMA DEL CORRETTO. APPRENDIMENTO DEL
CODICE. RILASCIARE IL TASTO DEL RADIOCOMANDO ORIGINALE.
7. MENTRE IL LED LAMPEGGIA, PREMERE IL TASTO DI AIR4 SUL QUALE SI DESIDERA INSERIRE IL CODICE APPENA
APPRESO, E MANTENERLO PREMUTO FINO A QUANDO IL LED NON SI SPEGNE.

Le ulteriori copie possono essere fae ulizzando sia il radiocomando Master che Slave.
Radiocomando Master è il radiocomando presente nella confezione di Air4 Universal Receiver.
Radiocomandi Slave sono i radiocomandi copia successivamente e direamente funzionan.
IMPORTANTE: se si è in possesso di un radiocomando po Silca AIR4 V (con versione soware uguale
o superiore a 1.6) con tas/pulsan già memorizza con altre automazioni, se, nello stesso radioco-
mando si eeua la copia del codice di Air4 Universal Receiver verranno cancellate le automazioni
memorizzate, ed è quindi necessario riapprenderle.
Nota: si consiglia di memorizzare prima la ricevente e poi le automazioni.
Come researe Air4 Universal Receiver
Nota: tu i pulsan dei radiocomandi inseri nella ricevente universale verranno cancella.
Premere contemporaneamente i tas “P” e “S” per 10 secondi circa no a quando i led “L1” e “L2” ini-
ziano a lampeggiare velocemente, rilasciare i tas e aendere qualche secondo no allo spegnimento
dei led. Air4 Universal Receiver è stata reseata.
Come cancellare il pulsante del radiocomando inserito nella ricevente Air4 Universal Receiver
• Premere il tasto “P” di Air4 Universal Receiver per qualche secondo no a quando il led “L1” del rice-
vitore si accende lampeggiando veloce, rilasciare il tasto.
• Premere il tasto “S” per qualche secondo no a quando il led “L2” si accende (sia led “L1” e “L2” sono
accesi) e rilasciare il tasto.
• Mantenere premuto il tasto del radiocomando che si vuole cancellare
• Aendere che i led “L1” e “L2” si spengano.
Caraerische tecniche delle uscite relè di Air4 Universal Receiver
Le uscite di Air4 Universal Receiver sono programmabili in quaro modalità e congurabili in ogni
momento. Tali modalità possono essere uli ad esempio per comando luce di cortesia dell’accesso
carraio/pedonale.
• Modalità impulsivo (di default le uscite sono impostate in questa modalità)
Ad una pressione del radiocomando associato, il relè dell’uscita rimane avo nché non viene rilascia-
to il tasto del radiocomando.
• Modalità ON/OFF, uscita bistabile
Ad una pressione del radiocomando l’uscita sarà chiusa, alla pressione successiva sarà aperta. Lo stato

E’ possibile impostare un tempo, in secondi, dopo il quale l’uscita viene disavata. Se non impostata
diversamente il mer ha un’impostazione base di 30 secondi. Il mer viene ricaricato ogni volta che
viene premuto un radiocomando associato a quell’uscita.
• Modalità mer minu.
E’ possibile impostare un tempo, in minu, dopo il quale l’uscita viene disavata.

Come modicare le modalità delle due uscite (relè 1/relè 2) di Air4 Universal Receiver da
modalità di default (modalità impulsivo) ad altre modalità.
• Premere il tasto “S” per 5 secondi per entrare nella congurazione di modica delle modalità di
funzionamento relave alle due uscite (relè 1/relè 2), il led relavo all’uscita impostata lampeggerà
secondo la modalità che è stata programmata.
- Il led lampeggia per 1 volta: Modalità ON/OFF
- Il led lampeggia per 2 volte: Modalità impulsivo.
- Il led lampeggia per 3 volte: Modalità Timer Secondi
- Il led lampeggia per 4 volte: Modalità Timer Minu
- Premere il tasto “P” per cambiare la modalità.
• Per selezionare l’uscita successiva premere il tasto “S” no ad uscire dalla congurazione delle uscite.
Uscire sempre dalla modalità di congurazione premendo “S” per salvare le impostazioni selezionate.
Come modicare il mer secondi o minu
• Selezionare una delle due modalità che si vuole modicare (mer secondi o mer minu)
• Premere il tasto “S” per circa 2 secondi, il led lampeggio comincerà ad essere regolare un lampeggio
al secondo.
• Mantenere il tasto premuto e contare il numero di lampeggi che si desidera impostare come secondi
o minu (Esempio 3 lampeggi regolari corrispondono a 3 secondi/minu)
• Conta i lampeggi che si desiderano impostare rilasciare il tasto “S”, la modica sarà salvata
Come capire quando la memoria dell’Air4 Universal Receiver è piena
Quando un nuovo codice copiato risulta non funzionante, nella ricevente il led L1 è acceso e il led L2
lampeggia. Se ci si trova in tale situazione è necessario cancellare un radiocomando non più in uso.
AIr4 Universal Receiver è compabile con Air4 Home e Air4 Home pro.

INSTALLATION
Die Installaon muss so durchgeführt werden, dass alle Vorsichtsmaßnahmen im Falle eines Brandes oder
eines Stromschlags getroen werden. Das Gerät ist eine Unterbaugruppe (Komponente). Es liegt in der
Verantwortung des Herstellers oder Installateurs des Geräts im endgülgen System, sicherzustellen,dass
das System sicher ist.
Die Installaon des Geräts muss von Fachpersonal oder von einer Person mit Ausbildung oder Erfahrung
durchgeführt werden, um die Idenzierung von Gefahren zu ermöglichen und geeignete Maßnahmen
zu ergreifen, um das Verletzungsrisiko für sich selbst und andere zu verringern.
Der Air4 Universal Receiver kann in alte und neue Automaonen eingebaut werden.
Air4 Universal Receiver wird mit einer Air4-Fernbedienung geliefert (Frequenz 433-868 MHz). Der
Code für den Air4-Universalempfänger ist bereits auf der Taste "1" gespeichert, und die Tasten 2, 3
und 4 sind leer, damit Fernbedienungen gespeichert werden können, die mit anderen Automaonen
(Toren, Garagen, Schranken usw.) verbunden sind.
Wo und warum werden Air4-Universalempfänger installiert
• Bei Automasierungen, bei denen der vorhandene Empfänger voll ist (keine weiteren Fernbedienun-
gen können gespeichert werden).
• Bei Automasierungen, bei denen der vorhandene Empfänger nicht mehr funkoniert.
• Bei Automasierungen, bei denen der Benutzer ein altes System mit einer Quarz-Fernbedienung in
einen Rolling-Code-Typ verwandeln möchte.
• In Automaonen, in denen die Originalfernbedienungen verloren gehen oder nicht mehr funkonie-
ren.
Air4-Universalempfänger installieren - Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung aus
1. Suchen Sie das Torsteuergerät und önen Sie es.
- Bei Schiebetoren oder Schranken ist das Steuergerät üblicherweise in dem Kasten untergebracht,
in dem sich der Elektromotor bendet (Fig.2)

- Bei Flügeltoren oder Sekonaltoren ist die Steuerung normalerweise in der Box in der Nähe des
Automasierungssystems untergebracht (Fig.3).

2. Lesen Sie im Handbuch des Originalsystems nach, welche Klemmen sich auf die Stromversorgung
und die entsprechenden Relaiskontakte beziehen.
Die an die Relaiskontakte angeschlossene Last muss mit den entsprechenden Vorsichtmaßnahmen
gegen Feuer und Stromschlag unter Berücksichgung der maximal auferlegten Lastwerte verbunden
werden 3A (230 Vac).
3. Schließen Sie 2 geeignete Kabel an die Stromversorgungsanschlüsse (Abb. 1 - F) des Universa-
lempfängers und 2 Kabel an die Relaisklemme 1 oder die Relaisklemme 2 (Abb. 1 - H; G) an.
4. Schließen Sie die 4 Drähte parallel an die entsprechenden Klemmen der vorhandenen Elektronikpla-
ne an. Ziehen Sie gegebenenfalls das Originalhandbuch zu Rate.

5. Ihr Tor, Ihre Tür oder Schranke können Sie jetzt mit Ihrer Silca-Fernbedienung önen und schließen.

ERWEITERTE FUNKTIONEN UND FEHLERSUCHE
So stecken Sie den Knopf einer Air4 V-Fernbedienung wieder in den Universalempfänger.
Dieser Vorgang ist erforderlich, wenn:
- Die gebrauchte Air4 V-Fernbedienung ist verloren gegangen / defekt
- Die dem Air4 Universal Receiver zugeordnete Taste wurde fälschlicherweise mit einer anderen
Fernbedienung überschrieben.
Verfahren:
• Drücken Sie die Taste "P" am Air4-Universalempfänger einige Sekunden lang, bis die LED 1/2 blinkt.
Lassen Sie die Taste ‘P'.
Hinweis: Bei eingeschalteter LED L1 (Ausgang Relais 1) die Taste ‘P’ drücken, um LED L2 (Ausgang
Relais 2) auszuwählen.
Drücken Sie die freie Taste auf der AIR4 V-Fernbedienung (mit einer Sowareversion von 1.6 oder
höher), bis die LEDs „L1“ und „L2“ dauerha leuchten.
• Lassen Sie die Fernbedienungstaste los.
• Wenn die LED 'L1' und 'L2' erlöschen, wurde die AIR4 V-Taste im Empfänger gespeichert.
So erstellen Sie andere Kopien einer Fernbedienung
Um eine Kopie des Air4 Universal Receiver-Codes (z. B. Taste 1) auf anderen Fernbedienungen zu er-
stellen, verwenden Sie eine Silca AIR4 V-Fernbedienung (mit einer Sowareversion von 1.6 oder höher)
und befolgen Sie die Standard-Kopieranweisungen von Silca.
