HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the important Health & Safety Information on this page before
cabinet assembly, equipment installation and general maintenance.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Earthing/Grounding
Electrical grounding of the AcoustiRACK™ ACTIVE cabinet is required for operator
and equipment safety and correct function.
The grounding of the cabinet should be carried out and verified by a competent and
qualified electrician.
The side panels, roof, and both doors of the cabinet can be earthed using an
AcoustiRACK™ earthing kit. The earthing kit consists of earthing cabling and fixings
for one cabinet.
GENERAL SAFETY
Lifting Hazard
When lifting any heavy object: ensure you can stand safely without slipping.
Distribute the weight of the object equally between your feet. Use a slow lifting force.
Never move suddenly or twist when you attempt to lift.
Lift by standing or by pushing up with your leg muscles; this action removes the strain
from the muscles in your back.
Do not attempt to lift objects that you think may be too heavy for you.
Good Working Practice
Place removed panels, doors and other parts in a safe place, away from personnel,
while you are servicing equipment.
Observe good housekeeping in the area of the cabinet during and after maintenance.
Keep your tool box away from walk areas so that other people will not trip over it.
Mechanical Hazards
Do not allow installed equipment on telescopic mounting rails to destabilize the
cabinet. Check stability before maintenance is carried out on equipment that is not
installed in a fixed position inside the cabinet.
Do not place any object on top of rack-mounted devices that are protruding from the
cabinet. This may cause the cabinet to become unstable and tip unexpectedly.
Do not store objects on the top of the cabinet. The cabinet roof has not been designed
to be load-bearing. There is a risk of these objects falling.

5
1. GETTING STARTED
Please read the important Health & Safety Information on page 2, the Thermal
Guidelines on page 26, and the Load Guidelines on page 27 before cabinet
assembly, equipment installation and general maintenance.
We recommend employing TWO people for assembly (some parts are heavy).
Allow approximately 1 hour for assembling the rack.
Please read these instructions carefully before starting!
It is very important not to mix up the acoustic materials (some parts are the same
shape but different thickness!)
UNPACKING
The rack parts are delivered in two packages; one that contains the acoustic materials,
and one that contains al other parts.
Unpack cabinet parts, lay them on the floor and identify them according to Figure 2-1.
Remove the acoustic material parts one by one, and lay them on the corresponding
rack part.
ASSEMBLY
Assembling the rack is done in two phases:
1. Adhering the acoustic materials to the various rack parts
2. Assembling the rack

3. ADHERING THE ACOUSTIC MATERIALS
GENERAL ADHERING TECHNIQUE
1. Place the acoustic material part on the corresponding rack part as precisely as
possible.
2. Peel a small section of the acoustic material protective layer.
3. Adhere this section in the right place, making sure the acoustic material fits snugly
to the part underneath, and there are no wrinkles.
4. Peel another small section of the acoustic material protective layer, and proceed
as above.
ADHERING THE ACOUSTIC MATERIALS TO SIDE PANEL B
1. Remove side panels Bfrom side panel frames A, using the supplied T2 key.
