2 Technologies
3D Smart Curling Technology consists of:
• Automation: the hair is automatically and gently drawn into
the curl chamber, heated from all directions, and formed into a
perfect curl or wave.
• Tourmaline coated barrel: allows the hair to glide around
the barrel smoothly, without snags or damage and heats evenly
for faster curling. Produces 20 times more moisture-locking
ions than any other type of barrel.
• Ionic technology: produces negative ions that coat and seal
moisture within the hair’s cuticle, which helps prevent dryness
and damage. Provides less frizz and a smooth, shiny, healthy
looking finish.
PTC (Positive Temperature Coecient) heating:
generates fast and energy ecient heat transfer; enables the
device to cool down quickly to prevent overheating and ensures a
higher level of safety.
3 General information
3.1 Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this AutoTwist
automatic hair curler (hereafter referred to as the
“product”), and contains important information on
setup and handling.
Before using the product, read the user manual
carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure
to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the product.

The user manual is based on the standards and rules in force
in the European Union. When abroad, you must also observe
country-specific guidelines and laws. Store the user manual for
further use. Make sure to include this user manual when passing
the product on to third parties.
3.2 Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual,
on the product or packaging.
WARNING!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate risk,
which may result in death or severe injury if not avoided.

This signal word warns of possible damage to property.
This signal symbol provides you with useful
additional information on handling and use.
This symbol identifies electrical devices that belong

Declaration of Conformity: Products labelled with
this symbol meet all applicable provisions of the

Do not use the product in the vicinity of bathtubs,
showers, washbasins or other vessels containing
water.
4 Safety
4.1 Proper use
The product is exclusively designed for styling human hair. It is
only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial
purposes. Only use the product as described in this user manual.
Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage
to property or persons. The manufacturer cannot be held liable
for damages or injury incurred through improper or incorrect
use.

EN 4.2 Safety instructions
WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
• Only connect the product if the line voltage
of the socket corresponds to the data on
the rating plate.
• Only connect the product to an easily
accessible socket so that you can quickly
disconnect it from the mains supply in the
event of a problem.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged or if
the mains cord or plug is defective.
• If the mains cord of the product is damaged,
the manufacturer, the customer service
team or a person with similar qualifications
must replace it to avoid risks.
• Do not open the housing; instead, have
a qualified professional perform repairs.
Contact the customer service team for this.
Liability and warranty claims are waived
in the event of repairs performed by the
user, improper connection or incorrect
operation.
• Only parts that comply with the original
device data may be used for repairs. This
product contains electrical and mechanical
parts which are essential for providing
protection against sources of danger.
• Do not immerse the product or the mains

cord in water or other liquids.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or
damp hands.
• Keep the product away from water! Do
not use the product near or over water
contained in baths, washbasins, sinks etc.
• Do not use in the bathroom.
• Do not place the product such that there is
a risk of it falling into a tub or sink.
• Do not reach for the product if it has fallen
into water. Unplug immediately before
retrieving it. Failure to unplug the product
may result in an electric shock.
• Always switch the product o when you are
not using it, when you intend to clean it, or
in the event of a malfunction.
• Never insert any objects into the housing.
• Do not pull the product out of the socket
by the mains cord; instead, always pull it out
by the plug itself. Never move, pull, or carry
the product by the cord.
• Keep the product away from open flames
and hot surfaces.
• Lay the mains cord so that it does not pose
a tripping hazard.
• Do not kink the mains cord, wrap it around
the product, or lay it over sharp edges.
• Only use the product indoors.

Cleaning and user maintenance must not be

the product and mains cord.
• Do not leave the product unattended while
it is plugged in.
• Make sure that children do not play with the
plastic wrapping. They may get caught in it
when playing and suocate.

• This product is not designed for use on very
long hair.

• This product reaches high temperatures and
is not suitable to be used on either synthetic
or real hair extensions.
• The product heats up during use. Always
hold it by its handle when it is hot. Do not
touch the hot surfaces of the product or let
them come into direct contact with the skin.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol products are being used or where
oxygen is being administered.
• Always allow the product to cool down
before storing or cleaning.
NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!
• Place the product on an easily accessible,
level, dry, heat-resistant and suciently
stable surface. Do not place the product on
the edge of the surface.
• Ensure that the mains cord does not come
into contact with hot parts.
• Never attempt to clean the product by
immersing it in water and do not use a
steam cleaner to clean it.
• Never attempt to remove dust or foreign
objects from inside the curling chamber
using a pointed object.
• Keep the curling barrel clean from dust,
dirt, hair mousse, spray and hair gel. Do not

EN use the product simultaneously with these
styling products.
5 Checking the product and package
contents
NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!
• If you are not cautious when opening the
packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed
objects, you may quickly damage the product.
Be very careful when opening it.
1. Take the product out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Fig. A).
3. Check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If
this is the case, do not use the product. Contact our Customer
Service.
6 Operation
• Clean all parts of the product before first use as
described in the chapter “Cleaning”.
• The product may emit a slight smell when it is first
used. This is entirely safe and harmless. Ensure there is
adequate ventilation in the room.
• Make sure your hair is clean, dry, combed and free
from styling or care products (except for heat
protection) before using the product.
• Separate your hair into horizontal sections. Pin or clip
the sections you are not working on out of the way.
1. Connect the mains cord 10 to an easily accessible mains
socket.
2. To switch the product on, press and hold the on/o button 8
until one of the temperature indicators 6flashes and a beep
sound is heard.
The product will heat up to the indicated operating
temperature.

3. To select another operating temperature, press the
temperature control button 7repeatedly until the
temperature indicator of the desired temperature setting
starts flashing.
Options for selection: 150 °C, 170 °C, 190 °C and 210 °C.
The product will remember your last selected temperature
setting for your next use.
Below are recommended settings. If you are unsure what
temperature to use, start with a lower temperature and
increase it as necessary.
Temperature Hair type
150 °C Fine, damaged or chemically treated hair
170 °C / 190 °C Normal hair
210 °C Thick, curly, not chemically treated hair
4. Wait until the indicator of the selected temperature setting
stops flashing. The product is now ready for use.
5. Take a hair strand of 1–3 cm in width.
When working with naturally curly or longer length hair, use
smaller sections. Also, for tighter curls use smaller sections, for
looser curls and waves use larger sections.
6. Lay the hair strand in the curling chamber 1through the
opening 3(see Fig. B).
Follow below instructions to style the left side of the hair. To
style the right side of the hair, do the opposite.
If you want to curl the hair strand inwards, lay it to the left side
of the curling barrel 2(see Fig. C).
If you want to curl the hair strand outwards, lay it to the right
side of the curling barrel (see Fig. D).
7. Let go of your hair strand.
8. Press and hold the left rotation button 4(for inward curls)
or right rotation button 5(for outward curls).
The curling barrel will start to rotate in the selected rotation
direction for about 9 seconds. The hair strand will be wound
around the curling barrel (see Fig. E).
9. Once the curling barrel has stopped after around 9 seconds,
you will hear 6 beep sounds. Release the rotation button.
10. When the last beep sound has stopped, gently pull the
product away from your head so that the hair strand slips out
of the curling chamber.

EN To allow the curl to set, do not comb or brush the hair until it
cools.
11. Repeat steps 5–10 for other hair strands.
To achieve dierent types of curls and waves, change the
operating temperature and curling directions.
If you need to temporarily place the product on a surface,
make sure it is heat-resistant to avoid damage.
12. When done, press and hold the on/o button until the
temperature indicator turns o and a beep sound is heard.
The product is now switched o.
13. Disconnect the mains cord from the mains socket.
14. Place the product on a heat-resistant surface until the product
is completely cooled down.
• The product will automatically switch o when it is
left idle for 30 minutes. This is designed as a safety
feature only. Always remember to switch o and
unplug the product after each use.
• The curling barrel may get stains if it is used on dyed
hair.
7 Cleaning
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
• Always disconnect the mains cord and let
the product completely cool down before
cleaning.
NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!
• Never immerse the product in water or
other liquids. Make sure that no water or
other liquids penetrate the housing.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes
with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or
metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard
scrapers and the like.

1. Clean the product with a damp cloth.
2. Dry the product thoroughly with a soft and clean cloth.
3. If necessary, use a soft brush to carefully clean the curling
chamber 1.
8 Storage
All parts must be completely cooled down and dry before being
stored.
• Store the product in a clean and dry place, avoiding heat and
direct sunlight.
• Store the product so that it is not accessible to children.
• Hang the product up on the hanging loop 9.
9 Troubleshooting
Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix
yourself. To do so, follow the instructions in the following table.
If it is still not possible to resolve the problem, contact Customer
Service. Do not repair the product yourself.

11 Disposal
11.1 Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging before you dispose of it.
Dispose of paperboard and cardboard with the
recycled paper service and wrappings with the
appropriate collection service.
11.2 Disposing of the product
(Applicable in the European Union and other European countries
with separate collection systems of recyclable materials)
Old appliances may not be disposed of in
household waste!
Should the product no longer be capable of being used
at some point in time, dispose of it in accordance
with the regulations in force in your city or
county. This ensures that old appliances are recycled
in a professional manner and also rules out negative
consequences for the environment. For this reason, electrical
equipment is marked with the symbol shown here.

This product is covered by a 2-year warranty according to
European regulations and law. The extent of the warranty on this
product is limited to technical defects caused by faulty production
processes. In the event you want to claim warranty please be

3D Intelligente Curling-Technologie umfasst:
• Automatisierung: das Haar wird automatisch und sanft in
die Lockenkammer eingezogen, aus allen Richtungen erwärmt
und in eine perfekte Locken- oder Wellenform gebracht.
• Stab mit Turmalin-Beschichtung: ermöglicht, dass
das Haar sanft um den Stab gleitet, ohne abzubrechen oder
beschädigt zu werden und verteilt die Hitze gleichmäßig
für eine schnellere Lockenformung. Erzeugt 20 Mal mehr
feuchtigkeitsverankernde Ionen als alle anderen Stäbe.
• Ionentechnologie: erzeugt negative Ionen, die für
Feuchtigkeit in der Schuppenschicht der Haare sorgen und sie
dort versiegeln. Dies trägt zur Vorbeugung von Trockenheit und
Schäden bei. Sorgt dafür, dass Ihr Haar weniger gekräuselt ist
und sichtbar weich, glänzend und gesund wirkt.
Heizen nach dem PTK-Prinzip (positiver
Temperaturkoezient): schnelle und energieeziente
Wärmeübertragung; ermöglicht ein schnelles Abkühlen des Geräts
zur Vermeidung von Überhitzungen und sorgt für mehr Sicherheit.
