Introduction
Information regarding these operating instructions
These operating instructions are a component of the Composite AV
cable with mains adapter SAVK 2000 A1 (subsequently designated
as the device or product) and provides you with important informa-
tion regarding proper use, safety, connections as well as operation
of the device. These operating instructions must be constantly kept
available close to the device. They are to be read and applied by
anyone assigned to operate, and repair faults in the device. Retain
these operating instructions and pass them on, together with the
device, to any future owners.

Intended use
This product is designed exclusively for connection of an iPod, iPhone
or iPad to the Composite video connection and analogue audio
connections of a television set and/or a stereo receiver. Via the
USB plug, which can be connected to a computer or to the supplied
mains adapter, the contents of an iPad, iPhone or iPod are synchro-
nised and/or the rechargeable batteries are charged.
The product can be used with all devices from the iPod, iPhone and
iPad family.
This product is intended for private use only and not for commercial
applications. Any other or unintended use is regarded as improper use
and can lead to damages. Claims of any kind for damage resulting
from unintended use will not be accepted.
The operator alone bears liability.
iPod, iPhone and iPad are trade names of Apple Inc., registered in
the USA and other countries. "Made for iPod, iPhone, iPad" means
that an electronic accessory is specially designed for connection to
an iPod, iPhone or iPad and the developer therefore warrants that
the device corresponds to Apple's performance standards. Apple is
not responsible for the operation of this device or for adherence to
the safety and regulation standards. Please be advised that use of this
accessory with an iPod, iPhone or iPad can affect the performance of
wireless communication.

Check the contents to ensure that they are complete and for►
visible damage.
If the delivery is not complete or is damaged due to defective►
packaging or through transportation contact the Service
Hotline (see chapter Service).
Safety
In this chapter you receive important safety information regarding
the handling of the device.
Safety instructions
Never open the device housing there are no serviceable parts■
inside! If the housing is opened, there is a risk of receiving a
potentially fatal electric shock.
In the event of a storm and/or thunderstorm devices attached to■
a mains power supply can suffer damages. Therefore disconnect
the device from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.
Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not■
put into operation a device that is damaged or has been dropped.
Always grasp the connection cable by the plug. Do not pull on■
the cable itself and never touch the connection cable with wet
hands, this could result in a short circuit or you receiving an
electrical shock.
Do not subject the device to sprays or dripping water and do not■
place liquid filled objects, such as vases or open drink containers,
in the vicinity of the device.
Do not place any objects, furniture or similar on the connection■
cable and make sure that the cable is not trapped.

Never make a knot in the connection cable and do not bind it■
together with other cables. The connection cable should be layed
in such a manner so as to avoid anyone stumbling over it.
Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by authorised■
qualified personnel or by the Customer Service department.
This device is not intended for use by individuals (including■
children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual
abilities or defi
ciences in experience and/or knowledge unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or
receive from this person instruction in how the device is to be used.
Only permit children to use the device under supervision.■
Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration. Never■
submerse the device in water.
Pull the device's plug from the mains power supply before every■
cleaning. There is a risk of receiving an electric shock!
■ The device is intended for internal use only.
The device must only be connected to an approved mains power■
socket installation.
The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that in an■
emergency the power plug can be quickly disconnected.
The device consumes power even when no charging device is■
connected to it. Therefore the device should be disconnected
from the mains power supply when not in use. To completely
disconnect from the mains power supply, i.e. in the event of an
emergency, the device must be pulled from the mains power socket.

CAUTION
Switch off the power supply of all components before con-►
necting the components together.
To avoid interference noise make sure that all cables are►
firmly connected.
Never attempt to attach a plug to a connection with the use►
of excessive force.
Make sure that the plug fits the connector and that you have►
correctly aligned the plug to the connector.
1. Connect the yellow cinch plug 6to the video input on your tele-
vision set.
2. Connect the white cinch plug 7and the red cinch plug 8to
the left and right analogue audio inputs on your television set or
stereo receiver.
3. Connect the iPod/iPhone/iPad Dock Connector 4to your iPod
and/or iPhone or iPad.

4. Switch on the iPod, iPhone/iPad and the television set or stereo
receiver to start playback.
Make sure that you have configured your iPod, iPhone or iPad to
send video signals to your television set and/or stereo receiver.
Further information can be found in your device's user guide. Also
observe the information in the user manuals of your television set,
stereo receiver or other devices in order to locate the appropriate
connections.
NOTICE
If you are using an iPod without video support you can use►
the cable for synchronising contents and for charging the
rechargeable battery.
5. If you want to charge your iPod, iPhone or iPad's rechargeable
battery connect the USB plug 5to the USB port 3on the mains
adapter .
6. Plug the mains adapter into an approved mains power socket
installation. The LED operating indicator 2lights up.

WARNING
Pull the mains adapter from the mains power socket before
every cleaning. The risk of a fatal electrical shock exists. Make
sure that no moisture enters the device whilst cleaning.
Clean the mains adapter► and the AV cable with a soft,
slightly damp cloth. In the case of stubborn stains, pour a
few drops of a mild detergent on the damp cloth.
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents as►
these could damage the plastic surfaces.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the device for an extended period of time
disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power supply and store
it in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight.

Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of the device in your normal
domestic waste. This product is subject to
the European directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE
(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device through an approved disposal
centre or at your community waste facility. Observe
the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmen-
tally friendly manner.

Warranty
You receive a 3-year warranty for this device as of the purchase date.
This device has been manufactured with care and meticulously
examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a
warranty claim, please get in touch, by telephone, with our service
department. Only in this way can a post-free dispatch for your goods
be assured.
NOTICE
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufactur-►
ing defects, not for transport damage, wear and tear or for
damage to fragile components, e.g. switches or rechargeable
batteries.
This product is for private use only and is not intended for commer-
cial applications. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and
improper handling or use of force and internal modifications not
carried out by our authorized Service Centre.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended through repairs made under
warranty. This applies also for replaced or repaired parts.
Any damages or deficiencies found on purchase must be reported
as soon as possible after unpacking or, at the latest, two days after
purchase.
On expiry of the warranty, all repairs carried out are subject to payment.
