Congratulations on the purchase of your new device.
You have selected a high-quality product. These operating instructions are a con-
stituent part of your SAB 160 B2 Bluetooth®car stereo (henceforth designated
as the device) and provide important information on the intended use, safety,
installation and connection as well as operation of the device.
The operating instructions must be kept near to the device at all times. They are to
be read and their content is to be applied by all those working on the installation,
servicing and repair of the device.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any future
owner together with the device.

Intended use
This device is intended only for reception of FM/AM radio stations as well as
for the playback of audio and MP3 CDs, MP3 files from USB data media and
SD/MMC memory cards as well as audio signals from external audio devices.
In addition, you can pair the device with a Bluetooth mobile phone and use the
device as a hands-free set with the microphone unit The device is intended for
installation into a vehicle. It is not intended for any other use or use beyond that
specified.

Failure to use the device for its intended purpose and/or other type of use can
be hazardous.

Claims of any kind for damage arising as a result of incorrect use will not be

Safety
In this section, you will find important safety instructions for using the device.
The device complies with the statutory safety regulations. However, incorrect use
can result in injury and material damage.
Basic safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below
■ Prior to use, check the device for visible external damage. Do not operate a
device that has been damaged or dropped.
■ If the cables or connections are damaged, have them replaced by an author-
ised specialist or the Customer Service department.
■ People who are incapable of using the device safely due to their physical,
intellectual or motor abilities may only use it whilst under the supervision or
direction of a responsible person
■ Do not allow children to use the device unless they are being supervised.
■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the
Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose significant risks to
the user. It will also invalidate any warranty claim.
■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be carried out by
a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise
no additional warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damage.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement
parts. Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original
replacement parts are used.
■ Protect the device from penetration by moisture and liquids.
Danger from laser radiation

Laser radiation is dangerous to the eyesight!
Observe the following safety instructions to avoid exposing
yourself or others to laser radiation:
► Never open the device.
► Have the device repaired only by a specialist.

Traffic safety

Road traffic safety has the highest priority!
Follow the following safety instructions to avoid endangering yourself or others:
► Before starting your journey, familiarise yourself with the device and its
operation.
► Only use the device when the traffic situation allows it! Stop in a suitable
location if you wish to perform complicated operations.
► Only remove or attach the control panel when the vehicle is stationary.
► Set the volume to a moderate level so that the sirens of police vehicles, fire
trucks and other emergency service vehicles can be heard in good time.
