Makingthe Exposures

Making
exposureson film in rollfilmholders
is basically
similartomaking

filmholders:
Insert

shutter,
setthe
aperture,
drawthedarkslide,
makethe

push

Sincea rollfilm
holderis
thicker
thanaconventional

it is desirable
to remove
thefocusing
screen
framewith
itsmechanism
(when
thereis
one).Thatwould
prevent
anysignificant

unintentional
changeincam-
eraadjustments.

beusedoncameras
on which the focusing

2.5cm (1")
from
thefilmholder

Sinar Rollfilm Holders 6 x 9 cm and 6 x 7 cml
SinarRollfilm

usedon
cameras
onwhich
themaximum

When
thatisthe
case,thefocusing

be
removed.
The rollfilm

by means
ofthe

sliders.
Making the Exposures
Figure10
Before
making
the exposure,
thecamera'sshutter
must
be closed
andtheaperture
setto the required
stop.
Then
the darkslide(16)
is drawn
untilit is blocked
and
thenthe
shutteris released.
Next,
the
darkslide
(16)
is reinserted.
It is also
possible
to release
theshutterwhen
the dark-
slide
is not
drawnor only
partially
drawn.This
causes
a
blankora frame
onwhich
onlya portion
ofanimage
has
beenexposed.
