Please retain these instructions for future reference. Read
these instructions before use.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Safety instructions
1. When the electric underblanket is folded, crumpled or used ab-
normally, it can overheat which will activate the permanent pro-
tection function. This cannot be repaired at home and must be
returned to an authorized service centre.
2. When the power for the electric underblanket is lower in voltage
than recommended, the temperature of the blanket rises slowly
and the heating ability is relatively low. This situation is not a
malfunction of the electric underblanket. Make sure your mains
voltage corresponds to that specified on the appliance before
plugging in.
3. The indicator lamp and electric underblanket circuit are con-
nected in parallel. The light indicator does not influence the
electric underblanket’s ability to generate heat when it is bro-
ken so care should be taken to ensure the electric underblanket
is functioning properly.
4. The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the ap-
pliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.

Warnings and cautions
In order to prevent damages or malfunctions, users must pay at-
tention to the following points while using the appliance. Failing to
do so will release the manufacturer from any responsibility.
1. Do not use folded or wrinkled. (Fig.1)
2. Do not roll and drape the appliance while being used. Ensure
the bed in which the appliance is being used will guarantee
that the electric underblanket is laid flat. Do not use the electric
underblanket in any other circumstances to avoid overheating.

3. Do not use pins on the appliance. Do not scratch with sharp
devices or beat the electric underblanket with blunt devices.
Do not attempt to secure the electric underblanket with pins or
other metal objects (Fig.3)
4. Use the electric underblanket under the body only. Do not wrap
the body with the blanket or use it in any other way. (Fig.4)
5. The appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat
and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to
overheating in order to avoid scalding of the body. (Fig.5)
6. Do not turn on the electric underblanket when there is any
folded bedding or heavy objects on it so as not to cause the
electric underblanket to overheat. (Fig.6)
7. Do not expose the electric underblanket to direct sunlight.

8. Do not iron the electric underblanket. Avoid any damage to the
insulation of the heating wires. (Fig.7)

9. Do not use together with any other heating appliances (such as
foot warmer, hot-water bottle). (Fig.8)
10. Do not use with anything that can start a fire on the bed such
as cigarettes, sparks etc, which can lead to fire. (Fig.9)
11. Switch off the electric underblanket power or pull out the elec-
tric underblanket plug when you are not in the room or not us-
ing it to avoid any accidental fires. (Fig.10)
12. Do not dry clean. (Fig.11)
13. Children under the age of three must not use this appliance
due to their inability to react to overheating. (Fig.12)
14. Children should not use the electric underblanket unless their
parents or guardian have already set it up in advance or un-
less the child has been adequately instructed on how to use it
safely.
15. After the electric underblanket has been turned on, users can-
not leave for over an hour to prevent any possible fire.
16. Do not unplug the power plug by pulling the power cord and do
not move the appliance by pulling the soft power cord.
17. Only use together with the switch unit model Ru11.
18. The product is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
19. Do not use if wet.

20. It can be cleaned in the washing machine.
21. When not in use, the electric underblanket should be stored in
a dry place. When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down
before folding. Do not crease the appliance by placing items
on top of it during storage. After storing, the blanket should
be carefully checked before use to make sure the control and
cords are safe. Do not switch on the blanket when is not totally
safe.
22. Do not attempt to perform any repairs on the electric under-
blanket by yourself. Any use contrary to the instructions can
lead to unwanted consequences.
23.The power cord of the appliance cannot be changed or repaired.
If the cord is damaged, the appliance must be disposed of.
24.Do not use the electric underblanket on an adjustable bed.
25.If the heating wire has been cut, do not attempt to repair it by
yourself. Please bring it to an authorized SINGER service for
maintenance or check.
26.For all night use or continuous use, please set the switch button
to “1”. Do not set the switch button to “2” or “3” for all night use
or continuous use.
27. Do not try to repair a fuse link or thermal link. The appliance
must be returned to the manufacturer if the link has ruptured.
28. Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts
of the appliance.
29. Do not use the appliance with a damaged socket-outlet.
30. Only use the appliance for its intended household use and in
the way indicated in these instructions.
31. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the
producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk
to damage the appliance.

32. People with pacemakers should consult their physicians or the
manufacturer of the pacemaker before using the blanket, as
the electronic and magnetic emission from this product can af-
fect the pacemaker’s function under certain circumstances. If
in doubt, please contact your physician before use.
33. The blanket and the electric parts must not come in contact
with water or other liquids due to the risk of electric shock.
Never use the product if it is wet or damp.
34. The blanket should not be used during thunder and lightning
storms as there is a risk of electric shock.
35. Do not use spray products near the heating blanket, as they
can cause fires under certain circumstances.
36. Do not use the blanket near open fire.
37. Your electric underblanket should be placed directly onto the
mattress with the power lead near the edge of the pillow. If
you are using a mattress protector this goes over the electric
underblanket.
38. Ensure that the blanket fits to your mattress; do not use a
single bed blanket to a double or the other way around.
39. Do not switch the power on if the blanket is wet or in a folded
state
40. Avoid high settings for a long period of time as they can result
to skin burns.
Users must observe all the above points. Otherwise, the blan-
ket can overheat or part of it may develop unusually high
temperature due to improper use of the electric underblanket,
which can lead to fire, cause body injury or property loss.
WARNING: NEVER TURN ON THE BLANKET BEFORE IT IS
COMPLETELY UNFOLDED. A FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RE-
SULT IN IRREPARABLE PRODUCT DAMAGE. THE BLANKET
MUST ONLY BE USED WITH THE CONTROL. IT WILL NEVER
FEEL COMPLETELY WARM UNTIL YOU LIE ON IT.

SERVICE & REPAIR
ATTENTION: THIS PRODUCT CANNOT BE SELF SERVICED AND CAN
ONLY BE FIXED BY PROFESSIONALS. CONTACT AN AUTHORISED
SINGER SERVICE.
1. For service or repair under warranty, please contact the authorized ser-
vice company that is mentioned on the guarantee card that accompanies
the product.
2. Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply
cord is damaged, return the appliance to a SINGER service center for
examination, repair or adjustment. Do not attempt to dismantle any part of
the appliance. This should only be done at an authorized SINGER service
centre.
3. The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present
instruction manual will automatically release Singer of any type of respon-
sibility in case of malfunction of the appliance or injuries to persons or
animals.
4. In case of manipulation, repairing or any modification of the appliance
made by unqualified persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee
will be automatically cancelled.
OPERATION
Lay the electric underblanket flat on the bed. The end with no control is the foot
of the bed. Only spread sheets or thin cotton-padded mattress on the blanket.
Make sure they are laid flat to help conduct heat and to be able to see whether
the electric underblanket is uneven. With everything flat on the bed, the electric
underblanket can be used safely.
TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
Plug power cord into an AC220-240V~ 50Hz wall outlet (do not connect this
appliance with DC) before bedtime. Push shift button to “3 “, the power indica-
tor light will light up and the electric underblanket will begin to heat. Normally,
after the blanket preheats for 30-50minutes, the shift button can be moved to
“2” or “1” according to individual needs so as to keep it at a warmer tempera-
ture when falling asleep, or to “0” to stop heating completely (the power indica-
tor light will switch off). If you intend to use the blanket all night long or use the
blanket continuously, please push the button to “1”.

DUAL CONTROL (APPLICABLE ONLY FOR DOUBLE FLEECE
UNDERBLANKET FOR A DOUBLE BED)
Two people can adjust the control according to their own needs without inter-
fering with each other. When the electric underblanket is on, the control must
be uncovered in a position that is easy to access. Ensure that the control is
never put under the quilt, pillow, or covered by other things. Do not leave the
control close to any other heat source, otherwise the control will overheat and
damage.
DAILY CHEKS AND SAFEQUARDS
To guarantee the electric underblanket is used safely, please pay attention to
the following:
1. Pay attention and observe the power cords, plug, soft cords that are used
to connect the appliance and control. Check whether there are any un-
usual situations before using. If you are uncertain about the condition
and whether it is safe or not, don’t continue to use. Please send it to an
authorized SINGER service for maintenance or check.
2. During use, checks should be regularly carried out to ensure the electric
underblanket is flattened, fitted firmly and not folded or rolled.
3. Examine the appliance frequently for signs of decay or damage. If there
are such signs or if the appliance has been misused, bring it to an autho-
rized SINGER service prior to any further use.
4. The heating wire in the electric underblanket should be spaced evenly
and smoothly with no crossing and no folds between wires. Do not use
when any of these situations occur. If a situation like this occurs, please
bring it to an authorized SINGER service. Testing method: lay the electric
underblanket flat on the bed; touch the heating wires with dry hands.
5. When the electric underblanket is on the bed, forbid children from jumping
on the bed. If this has already taken place pay special attention to check
whether every part of the electric underblanket is normal. Use only after
confirming it is normal.
6. When any accident or damage takes place (smoking, fire, abnormal
sound, abnormal smell, etc.), you must disconnect the electric underblan-
ket from the power before checking for damage.
