Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Sitecom WLX-2003 Wall Mount Range E tender N300. With
this product you can easily double the signal coverage of your Wi-Fi network for better
Wi-Fi quality in homes with many rooms or multiple floors. With both a Wi-Fi e tender
and a power adapter in a compact design, the WLX-2003 can be plugged directly into an
electrical outlet for convenient placement. The smart signal strength LED makes it easy
for you to set it up where your Wi-Fi signal needs enhancement. Additionally, it complies
with wireless 802.11b/g/n standards and can create an e tended Wi-Fi network with data
transmission rates of up to 300Mbps. With the WLX-2003, you can enjoy high-speed
wireless networking throughout your home without additional cabling.
The WLX-2003 features a WPS button which allows you to set up the e tender quick and
easy. Alternatively, the software wizard automatically detects the available Wi-Fi
networks nearby and helps you establish a connection within seconds. The WPS button
also allows you to connect the e tender to the root access point with a simple click of a
button. Additionally, the WLX-2003 is designed with a signal strength LED, which helps
you find the best setup location for optimal Wi-Fi coverage.
Not only is the WLX-2003 very compact, it is designed with a built-in power adapter. This
design allows you to plug it directly into an electrical outlet, eliminating the need for an
additional power cable. You can easily install it where your Wi-Fi signal needs
enhancement and enjoy high-speed wireless performance without any hassles.
The latest 802.11n technology is built into the WLX-2003 to broaden its wireless
coverage and to eliminate dead spots within the wireless range. The WLX-2003 complies
with wireless 802.11b/g/n standards and can reach data transmission rates of up to
300Mbps when connected to wireless 802.11n devices. It provides faster and more
reliable wireless connections than standard 802.11b/g wireless networks.

3 CAUTIO S
This device’s design and manufacturer has your safety in mind. In order to safely and
effectively use this device, please read the following before usage.
3.1 Usage autions
The user should not modify this device. The environmental temperature should be within +5
~ +35 degrees elsius.
3.2 Power
The device’s power voltage is A 230v. When plugging in the device, make sure it cannot get
damaged or be subject to pressure. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the device
first before cleaning it. Never connect the device to the power in a humid or dusty area.
3.3 Repair
If the device has a problem, you should take it to an appointed repair center and let the
specialists do the repair. Never repair the device yourself, you might damage the device or
endanger yourself.
3.4 Disposing of the device
When you dispose of the device, be sure to dispose of it appropriately. Some countries may
regulate disposal of an electrical device, please consult with your local authority.

When using this device, please do not let it come into contact with water or other liquids. If
water is accidentally spilled on the device, please use a dry cloth to absorb the spillage.

4 PRODUCT LAYOUT

Network Port You can use this port to connect a wired device so it
benefits from the repeated signal.
OPS Button You can use this button to connect using OPS.
OPS Button functions:
Press 0-5 seconds: WPS registrar
Press 5-10 seconds: WPS enrollee
Press 15+ seconds: reset to factory defaults.

From top to bottom:
LED olor Description
Signal Orange This LED shows the quality of the signal it receives from your
Router/Access Point.
0-25%: 250 milliseconds ON – 250 millisecond OFF
25-50%: 1000 milliseconds ON – 1000 milliseconds OFF
50-100%: Continuous ON
WLAN Blue Lights up in Blue when WLAN is enabled. Blinks on traffic.
Power Orange Lights up when powered ON. Blinks on TEST/RESET.
OPS White Blinks when OPS mode is on.
LAN Green Lights up when a LAN cable is connected.

5 ETWORK + SYSTEM REQUIREME TS
To begin using the WLX-2003, make sure you meet the following as minimum requirements:
•P /Notebook.
•1 Free Ethernet port.
•WiFi card/USB dongle (802.11 b/g/n) – optional.
•P with a Web-Browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera)
•Ethernet compatible AT5 cables.
•Router or Access Point
6 WLX-2003 PLACEME T
You can place the WLX-2003 directly in a wall socket. For optimal performance, place
your Range E tender in a location that is away from any potential source of interference,
such as a metal wall or microwave oven. This location must be within a good signal range
from your e isting router or access point, preferably above 50% signal strength.

7 PC ETWORK ADAPTER SETUP
Windows XP
•Enter [Start Menu] -> select [Control panel] -> select [Network].
•Select [Local Area Connection]) icon -> select [properties]
•Select [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] =>Click [Properties].

•Select the [General] tab.
The device supports the [DHCP] function, please select both [Obtain an IP address
automatically] and [Obtain DNS server address automatically].
Windows Vista/Seven
•Enter [Start Menu] -> select [Control panel] -> select [View network status and
tasks] -> select [Manage network connections].

8 BRI GI G UP THE WLX-2003
You can plug the WLX-2003 directly into a wall outlet. Switch the device on with the
power switch located on the bottom of the device. The WLX-2003 automatically enters
the self-test phase. During self-test phase, the Power LED will be lit continuously to
indicate that this product is in normal operation.

LOGIN procedure
1. OPEN your browser (e.g. Internet E plorer).
2. Type http://192.168.128.253 in the address bar and press [Enter]
3. Type user name and password (default is admin/admin).
4. Click OK.

5. You will see the home page of the WLX-2003.
The System status section allows you to monitor the current status of your device,
the UP time, hardware information, serial number as well as firmware version
information is displayed here.

10 CO FIGURATIO WIZARD
With the wizard you can configure the Range E tender to connect to your e isting
network. Click Wizard to start configuring the WLX-2003. The Setup wizard will now be
displayed.
On the first page you can select the network that the Range E tender needs to connect
to. You can also see the signal strength, the channel and the encryption type used on the
networks surrounding the Range E tender.
Select your network from the list. Click Ne t.
Fill in the security key from your e isting network. Please refer to the manual of your
router or access point on how to retrieve this key. Click Ne t.

On this last page you will see the new settings of your Range E tender. You can use
these settings on your computer to connect to the Range E tender. You can use the
“Copy to Clipboard” button to copy the wireless password to your clipboard so you don’t
have to type it in.
