service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of re or electric

▘To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the power pack (inverter) from the outlet before
attempting any instructed servicing.
▘When charging the internal battery, work in a well ventilated area and do not restrict
ventilation in any way.
▘Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
▘Do not expose a power pack (inverter) to re or excessive temperature. Exposure to re or
temperature above 265 °F (130 °C) may cause explosion.
▘Have servicing performed by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.

▘Risk of fire and electric shock. Dry location use only. Do not expose the power
inverter to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the power inverter will increase the
risk of electric shock.

▘Do not allow the power inverter to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
used by or near children.
▘The power inverter is not intended for any use other than charging small USB
electronics or small AC devices specied in SPECIFICATIONS in this manual. Any
other use may result in damage.
▘Switch off the power inverter when not in use.
▘Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the power inverter. Carrying the

power inverter with your finger on the switch or energizing power inverter that has the
switch on invites accidents.
▘Disconnect the battery pack from the power inverter before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power inverter. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power inverter accidentally.
▘Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another
battery pack.
▘Use power inverter only with specically designated battery packs. Use of any other
battery packs may create a risk of injury and re.

▘When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a re.
▘Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance
outside of the temperature range specied in the instructions. Charging improperly or
at temperatures outside of the specied range may damage the battery and increase the
risk of re.
▘Do not modify or attempt to repair the power inverter or the battery pack except as
indicated in the instructions for use and care.
▘Store idle power inverter out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power inverter or these instructions to operate the power
inverter. Power inverters are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
▘Maintain power inverter and accessories. Check for misalignment or breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the power inverter’s operation. If
damaged, have the power inverter repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power inverter.
▘Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who
may use this product. If you lend this product to someone else, also lend these instructions
to them to prevent misuse of the product and possibly injury.

This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this
symbol to avoid possible injury or death.
DANGER DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will
result in death or serious injury.
WARNING WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING To reduce the risk of re, personal injury, and product damage due to
a short circuit, never immerse your power inverter, battery pack, or
charger in uid or allow a uid to ow inside them. Corrosive or conductive uids, such as
seawater, certain industrial chemicals, bleach or bleach-containing products, etc. can cause a
short circuit.
WARNING Do not attempt to modify the power inverter or create accessories not
recommended for use with this power inverter. Any such alteration or
modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious
injury.
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK (Fig. 2)
NOTE: Fully charge the battery pack before
rst use.
To install battery pack
Align the mounting slots on the power inverter
with the ribs on the battery pack, then slide the
battery pack until it snaps into position on the
power inverter.
WARNING Make sure that the latch on
the power inverter snaps
into place and the battery pack is secured to
the power inverter before beginning operation.
Failure to securely seat the battery pack could
cause the battery pack to fall out, resulting in
serious personal injury.
To remove battery pack
Hold the battery pack with one hand and pull the power inverter with the other hand to
separate them.
WARNING Always be aware of location of your feet and children or pets around you
when separating the battery pack from the power inverter. Serious injury
could result if the battery pack falls. NEVER remove the battery pack at a high location.
WARNING Always remove the battery pack when the power inverter is not in use.
TURNING POWER INVERTER
ON/OFF (Fig. 3)
1. Install the battery pack.
2. To turn the power inverter on, press the
power button and the button will illuminate
green, which indicates that the power
inverter is activated.
3. To turn the power inverter off, press the
power button again and the green light
will turn off, which indicates that the power
inverter is deactivated.

LED LIGHT (Fig. 3)
The power inverter is equipped with one LED light integrated into the carrying handle. The
light provides illumination in low light conditions or serves as an emergency light beacon.
The LED light could be turned on whenever the power inverter is activated or deactivated.
▘To turn the LED light on, press the LED button. The light will turn on in low brightness
mode.
▘Press the LED button again to switch to high brightness mode.
▘Press the LED button the third time to switch the LED light off.
▘In any mode, press and hold the LED button for more than 1 second and the light will
switch into ashing, “EMERGENCY” mode. Press the LED button again, the light will shut
off.
POWERING EXTERNAL DEVICES
1. Install a battery pack onto the power inverter.
2. Press the power button to turn on the power inverter. The LED in the power button will
glow solid green, which indicates that the power inverter is ready for supplying power.
3. Connect devices to the power inverter’s USB ports and/or 120V AC output port. The
inverter will begin powering the devices automatically.
4. When the power inverter is not in use, disconnect devices from the power inverter, then
press the power button to turn off the power inverter.
5. Remove the battery pack from the power inverter.

OVER TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
If the battery or power inverter temperature exceeds 158 °F (70 °C) during operation, the
power button LED indicator will glow solid red for 1 minute, and then the temperature-
protection circuit will shut off the power inverter to protect from overheating damage. Allow the
battery and the power inverter to cool until the temperature drop below 152 °F (67 °C) before
restarting.
LOW BATTERY PACK CHARGE PROTECTION
When the battery pack charge reaches a low level, the power button LED indicator will ash
for 1 minute and then the power inverter will automatically shut down.
Remove the battery pack and fully charge it.
OVERLOAD OR SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION
When the connected AC device draws more than the rated power of the port, the power button
LED indicator will ash red quickly for 1 minute, and then the power inverter will automatically
shut down.
Disconnect the AC device, and reset the power button.

MAINTENANCE
Service
WARNING Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personal may
result in misplacing of internal wires and components which could
cause a serious hazard. We recommend that all product service be performed by a SKIL
Factory Service Center or Authorized SKIL Service Station.
General Maintenance
WARNING When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any
other parts could create a hazard or cause product damage.
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws,
nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Please contact customer service or an authorized service center for
assistance.
Cleaning
WARNING To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery packs
from the power inverter when cleaning.
The product may be cleaned most effectively with compressed dry air.
WARNING Always wear safety goggles when cleaning products with
compressed air. Do not attempt to clean by inserting pointed objected
through openings.
WARNING Certain cleaning agents and solvents damage plastic parts. Some of
these are: gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents,
ammonia and household detergents that contain ammonia.
Storage
Store the power inverter indoors in a place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from
corrosive agents.
TROUBLESHOOTING

LIMITED WARRANTY OF SKIL CONSUMER TOOLS
5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Chervon North America, Inc. (“Seller”) warrants to the original purchaser only, that all SKIL
consumer TOOLS will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of ve
years from date of purchase, if original purchaser registers the product within 30 days from
purchase. BATTERIES AND CHARGERS are warranted for 2 years. Product registration
can be completed online at www.Registermyskil.com. Original purchasers should also retain
their receipt as proof of purchase. THE FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD FOR TOOLS IS
CONDITIONED ON REGISTRATION OF THE PRODUCT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE.
If original purchasers do not register their product within 30 days of purchase, the foregoing
limited warranty will apply for a duration of three years for tools. All batteries and chargers will
remain under the two-year limited warranty.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a SKIL consumer tool is used for industrial, professional,
or commercial purposes, the foregoing warranty will apply for a duration of ninety days,
regardless of registration.
SELLER’S SOLE OBLIGATION AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY under this Limited
Warranty and, to the extent permitted by law, any warranty or condition implied by law, shall
be the repair or replacement of parts, without charge, which are defective in material or
workmanship and which have not been misused, carelessly handled, or repaired by persons
other than Seller or Authorized Service Station. To make a claim under this Limited Warranty,
you must return the complete product, transportation prepaid, to any SKIL Factory Service
Center or Authorized Service Station. For Authorized SKIL Power Tool Service Stations,
please visit www.Registermyskil.com or call 1-877-SKIL-999 (1-877-754-5999).
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PARTS AND
CONSUMABLES THAT CAN WEAR OUT FROM NORMAL USE WITHIN THE WARRANTY
PERIOD, INCLUDING BLADES, TRIMMER HEADS, CHAIN BARS, SAW CHAINS, BELTS,
SCRAPER BARS, AND BLOWER NOZZLES.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO A PRODUCT SHALL BE LIMITED IN
DURATION EQUAL TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES APPLICABLE
TO SUCH PRODUCT, AS SET FORTH IN THE FIRST PARAGRAPH ABOVE. SOME
STATES IN THE U.S., SOME CANADIAN PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON

▘Lorsque vous chargez la pile interne, travaillez dans un endroit bien ventilé et ne limitez
en aucun cas la ventilation.
▘Dans des conditions d’utilisation abusives, du liquide pourrait être éjecté de la pile; évitez
tout contact avec ce liquide. En cas de contact accidentel, lavez avec de l’eau. En cas de
contact de liquide avec les yeux, consultez un professionnel de santé. Tout liquide éjecté
d’une pile peut causer de l’irritation ou des brûlures.
▘N’exposez pas un bloc d’alimentation (convertisseur continu-alternatif) à un feu ou à une
température excessive. L’exposition à un feu ou à une température supérieure à 130° C /
265° F pourrait causer une explosion.
▘Faites entretenir votre produit par un réparateur compétent n’utilisant que des pièces de
rechange identiques. Ceci assurera le maintien de la sécurité du produit.

▘Ne laissez pas le convertisseur continu-alternatif être utilisé comme un jouet. Il est
nécessaire de prendre des précautions appropriées quand il est utilisé par des enfants ou
à proximité d’enfants.
▘Le convertisseur continu-alternatif n’est pas destiné à une utilisation autre que la
charge de petits appareils électroniques USB ou de petits appareils c.a. spéciés
dans la section SPÉCIFICATIONS de ce mode d’emploi. Toute autre utilisation peut
entraîner des dommages.
▘Mettez le convertisseur continu-alternatif hors tension lorsque vous ne l’utilisez
pas.
▘Prévenez une mise en marche accidentelle. Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur est
dans la position hors tension avant de le connecter au bloc-piles, ou de soulever
ou de transporter le convertisseur continu-alternatif. Le fait de transporter le
convertisseur continu-alternatif avec le doigt sur l’interrupteur ou de mettre sous tension
un convertisseur continu-alternatif dont l’interrupteur est en position sous tension invite
les accidents.
▘Déconnectez le bloc-piles du convertisseur continu-alternatif avant d’y apporter de
quelconques modications, de changer d’accessoire ou de ranger le convertisseur
continu-alternatif. De telles mesures de sécurité préventives réduisent le risque de
déclenchement accidentel du convertisseur continu-alternatif.
▘Ne rechargez cet équipement qu’avec le chargeur indiqué par le fabricant. Un
chargeur qui est approprié pour un type de bloc-piles pourrait créer un risque d’incendie
quand il est utilisé avec un autre bloc-piles.
▘Utilisez votre convertisseur continu-alternatif exclusivement avec des blocs-piles
conçus spécifiquement pour celui-ci. L’emploi de tout autre bloc-piles risquerait de

▘Lorsque le bloc-piles n’est pas utilisé, gardez-le à une distance suffisante des
autres objets en métal, comme des trombones, pièces de monnaie, clés, clous,
vis ou autres petits objets en métal qui pourraient établir une connexion entre une
borne et une autre. Le court-circuitage des bornes d’une pile pourrait causer des brûlures
ou un incendie.
▘Suivez toutes les instructions relatives à la charge et ne chargez pas le bloc-piles ou
l’équipement en dehors de la plage de température indiquée dans les instructions.
Une charge dans des conditions appropriées ou à des températures en dehors de la plage
spéciée pourrait endommager les piles et augmenter le risque d’incendie.
▘Ne modiez pas et ne tentez pas de réparer cet équipement ou le bloc-piles, sauf
conformément à ce qui est indiqué dans les instructions d’entretien et d’utilisation.
▘Rangez tout convertisseur continu-alternatif qui n’est pas utilisé activement hors de
portée des enfants, et ne laissez aucune personne n’ayant pas lu ces instructions et
ne sachant pas comment utiliser le convertisseur continu-alternatif se servir de cet
équipement. Les convertisseurs continu-alternatif sont dangereux quand ils sont entre les

▘Entretenez les convertisseurs continu-alternatif et les accessoires. Assurez-vous
que les pièces sont bien alignées et qu’il n’y a pas de pièces cassées ou qu’il n’existe
aucune situation pouvant affecter le fonctionnement du convertisseur continu-
alternatif . Si le convertisseur continu-alternatif est endommagé, faites-le réparer
avant de vous en servir à nouveau. De nombreux accidents sont causés par des
convertisseurs continu-alternatif mal entretenus.
▘Conservez ces instructions. Consultez-les fréquemment et utilisez-les pour donner
les instructions nécessaires à d’autres personnes qui peuvent utiliser ce produit. Si vous
