Introduction
The Magnetic Switch works
in conjuction with the Door/
Window Sensor. You may
use it as a replacement part
for your current Door/
Window Sensor, or you
can use it as an additional
item to add on to your
existing Door/Window Sen-
sor. Then you can set up
these sensors to monitor
2 different places using
only one transmitter.
Installation
Skylink will not be held
liable or responsible for
any misuse or application
of this product other than
for its intended use.

Warranty
If, within one year from
date of purchase, this
product should become
defective, due to faulty
workmanship or materials,
it will be repaired or
replaced, without charge.
Proof of purchase is
required.
®
1. Each Door/Window
Sensor contains 2 parts.
One is the transmitter
(with the test button), the
other is the actual sensor
(magnetic switch).
2. Test the unit by pressing
the test button on the
transmitter. If the red LED
light turns on, the unit is
ready. Once the contact
is broken, the transmitter
will transmit a signal to
Skylink’s receiver(s).
Operation
Installation of MS-001 to existing Skylink Security System
1. Remove one of the connection wires from the existing magnetic
switch.
2. Connect one of the wires from MS-001 to the existing magnetic
switch.
3. Use the provided wire nut to connect the two remaining wires
from the MS-001 magnetic switch and the existing magnetic
switch.
4. Position the MS-001 magnetic switch to the door/window frame
using either two sided tape or screws.
5. Position the magnet on the door/window beside the magnetic
switch. They should be no more than 1c m (3/8 inch) apart. When
the door/window is closed, the magnets are in contact. When the
door/window is opened, contact is broken and the transmitter sends
a signal to the Control Panel to activate the chime or alarm.
