Description: The E-Stop is a manual shut-off valve/mechanical timer designed to be installed on the inlet side of a
gas appliance to enable the user to control the time that gas is allowed to ow to a gas appliance. This is a mechanical
timer that has the ability to control gas ow for 1-hour (60 minutes) using the E-STOP1-0 model or 2.5-hours using the
E-STOP2-5 model. In addition, the E-Stop has a safety feature (red knob) that enables the user to shut the gas
completely OFF immediately in case of an emergency.
The E-Stop body 4-inches tall by 2 ⅞ -inches wide and can replace a manual shut-off valve and meet local code
requirements as the accessible shut-off valve. It can be use for multiple applications from gas re pits, gas grills, gas logs,
gas torch lights, etc. where a shut-off valve is a requirement.

E-Stop Gas Timer
Operation
TO START: First rotate the clear dial past 20 minutes to set
the proper time. Timer will begin “clicking” the predetermined
countdown time. Turn red knob clockwise (about a ¼ turn)
until it pops outward.
TO STOP: Simply press red knob inward. The red knob will
lock down with a “click” and stop gas ow. See Figs. 1 & 2.
Note: It is not recommended to force the timer knob to the
OFF position after time is set. Long term effects can
potentially weaken the spring inside the E-Stop and affect the
accuracy of the time.

Installation
The E-Stop has two (2) Inlet and two (2) Outlet gas connections. The diagrams below provide possible ways to plumb the
E-Stop. Two (2) ½” NPT plugs are provided with the E-Stop. Plug the inlet and outlet connections not being used
CAUTION: Conduct a gas leak test on the E-Stop after plumbing is complete

Mounting
The E-Stop has the ability to mount it from the side of the body using four (4) screws or using the tabs at the top and
bottom of the body using two (2) screws. It requires 3/16 - 24 screws to secure it into position. See Fig. 3.
