Descrizione
Il cavo di interfaccia ThermoCan™ in figura 1 è usato per collegare la cannula con sensore
termico monouso + cannula nasale per pressione ThermoCan™ in figura 2 al sistema PSG.
La batteria interna (in alcune unità) e i circuiti filtranti forniscono segnali puliti e sicuri al
sistema. La batteria può durare almeno due anni con uso continuativo. L’uscita può essere
connessa a qualsiasi canale a corrente alternata (AC) a basso livello sul registratore.
Indicazioni per l’uso
I sensori SleepSense forniscono una misura qualitativa dello sforzo e del flusso respiratoro,

Applicazione del cavo di interfaccia ThermoCan™
1. Collegare il cavo di interfaccia al sistema PGS.
2. Inserire gli spinotti dorati del cavo di interfaccia nei fori previsti ai lati della cannula nasale.
Spingere gli spinotti fino in fondo in figura 2. Evitare di spingere il cavo nero nel corpo
della cannula - lo spinotto deve rimanere parallelo al cavo.
3. Posizionare la cannula ThermoCan™ sul viso del paziente come da istruzioni incluse
nella cannula.
4. Controllare che vengano trasmessi segnali forti e chiari prima di lasciare il paziente.
Pulizia del cavo di interfaccia
• Strofinare il cavo e gli spinotti dorati con un detergente non corrosivo (per la plastica) per
una pulizia prima dell’uso.
• Assicurarsi che l’intero gruppo di sensori sia completamente asciutto prima di riutilizzarlo.
• Non immergere il sensore in disinfettanti.

Beschreibung
Das ThermoCan ™-Schnittstellenkabel, Abbildung 1, dient zum Anschluss der ThermoCan
™ thermischen Eingweg-Druckkanüle, Abbildung 2, an das PSG-System. Eine interne Batterie
(in einigen Einheiten) und Filterschaltungen sorgen für saubere und zuverlässige
Atmungssignale an das System. Die Batteriedauer beträgt im Dauerbetrieb mindestens 2
Jahre. Der Ausgang kann an jeden AC (niedrige Frequenz)-Kanal am Aufzeichnungsgerät
angeschlossen werden.
Anwendungsgebiete
SleepSense Schlaflaborsensoren sorgen für eine qualitative Messung von Geräuschen,
Atmungsanstrengung, Atemstrom, Körperposition und Gliedmaßenbewegungen zur
Aufzeichnung auf einem anerkannten Datenerfassungssystem. Sie sind zur Anwendung bei
Kindern und erwachsenen Patienten geeignet, die während Schlafstörungsstudien in einem
Schlaflabor oder beim Patienten zuhause gescreent werden.
Die Anwendung des ThermoCan ™-Schnittstellenkabels
1. Verbinden Sie das Interface-Kabel mit dem PGS-System.
2. Schieben Sie die goldenen Stifte des Schnittstellenkabels in die Löcher, die an den Seiten
des Mundstücks der Kanüle angebracht sind. Drücken Sie die Stifte ganz hinein, siehe
Abbildung 2. Vermeiden Sie es, das schwarze Kabel in den Kanülenkörper zu schieben -
der Stift sollte parallel zum Kabel verlaufen.
3. Legen Sie die ThermoCan ™-Kanüle gemäß den Anweisungen, die der Kanüle beigefügt
sind, auf das Gesicht des Patienten.
4. Überprüfen Sie, ob klare und starke Signale übertragen werden bevor sie den Patienten verlassen .
Reinigung des Schnittstellenkabels
• Wischen Sie das Kabel und die goldenen Stifte zur Reinigung vor Gebrauch mit einem
nicht-korrosiven (auf Kunststoff) Reinigungsmittel ab.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die komplette Sensor-Kombination vor Wiederverwendung
vollständig trocken ist.
• Tränken Sie nicht den Sensor in Desinfektionsmitteln.

Description
Le câble d’interface ThermoCan™ illustration 1 est utilisé pour connecter la canule jetable
thermique + pression ThermoCan™ illustration 2 au système PSG. La batterie interne (dans

Instructions d’utilisation
Les capteurs pour laboratoires du sommeil sleepsense fournissent une excellente mesure
des sonorités, de l’effort respiratoire, du flux, de la position du corps ou des mouvements
des membres, destinés à l’enregistrement sur un système approuvé d’acquisition de données.
Ils sont à la fois adaptés pour les enfants et les adultes contrôlés durant une étude portant
sur leurs troubles du sommeil dans un laboratoire du sommeil ou au domicile du patient.
Appliquer le câble d’interface ThermoCan™
1. Connectez le câble d’interface au système PGS.
2. Faites glisser les broches dorées du câble d’interface dans les oorifices prévus à cet effet
sur les côtés de l’embout de la canule. Enfoncez les broches à fond comme dans
l’illustration 2. Évitez de pousser le fil noir dans le corps de la canule – la broche doit être
parallèle au fil.
3. Placez la canule ThermoCan™ sur le visage du patient en suivant les instructions
fournies avec la canule.
4. Vérifiez que des signaux clairs et forts sont transmis avant de quitter le patient.
Nettoyage du câble d’interface
• Essuyez le câble et les broches dorées avec un détergent non corrosif (pour le plastique)
afin de le nettoyer avant usage.
• Veillez à ce que l’ensemble de l’assemblage du capteur soit complètement sec avant de
le réutiliser.
• Ne pas faire tremper le capteur dans les désinfectants.

Description
The ThermoCan™ Interface Cable figure 1 is used to connect the ThermoCan™ disposable
thermal + pressure cannula figure 2 to the PSG system. Internal battery (in some units) and
filtering circuits provide clean and reliable respiration signals to the system. Battery should
last at least two years of continuous use. The output may be connected to any AC (low level)
channel on the recorder.
Indications for use
SleepSense sleep-lab sensors provide a qualitative measure of sounds, respiratory-effort,
flow, body position or limb movements, for recording on an approved data acquisition system.
They are intended for use on children and adult patients who are screened during sleep
disorder studies at a sleep laboratory or the patient’s home.
Applying the ThermoCan™ Interface Cable
1. Connect the Interface Cable to the PGS system.
2. Slide the Interface Cable's golden pins into the holes provided on the sides of the cannula
nose piece. Push the pins all the way in figure 2. Avoid pushing the black wire into the
cannula body – the pin should rest parallel to the wire.
3. Place the ThermoCan™ cannula on the patient's face per the instructions included with
the cannula.
4. Check that clear, strong signals are being transmitted before leaving the patient.
Cleaning the Interface Cable
• Wipe the cable and golden pins with a non-corrosive (to plastic) cleanser to clean before use.
• Make sure the complete sensor assembly is thoroughly dry before reusing it.
• Do not soak the sensor in disinfectants.

SLP warrants the ThermoCan™ Interface Cable to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of d of twelve
months from the date purchased. The sole liability of SLP and our distributor(s) is limited to replacement or repair of the product at
the option of SLP with no charge for parts or labor if any part is proven to be defective in workmanship, performance, or materials
during the warranty period. Under no circumstances shall SLP or our distributor(s) be liable for any loss of revenues or damage,
