INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put vehicle in “REVERSE” and turn the key to
“OFF” position. Remove the key from the vehicle.
Apply the parking brake.
2. Drape the cover
over the vehicle. Note that the
SLINGSHOT logo will be on the hood of the
vehicle.
a. Begin by carefully fitting the cover over the
driver and passenger side mirrors.
b. Pull the cover over the front of the vehicle
hood.
c. Pull the cover over the rear of the vehicle. The
Fuel Door access panel on the cover should
match up with the fuel door on the vehicle.
TIP
This is intended to allow you to fuel the vehicle while it is
on a trailer without having to remove the cover.
3. For the two center straps: Attach the male buckle
of each center strap (A and B) to the female buckle
sewn to the cover as shown in figure. Feed the
webbing underneath the vehicle and connect each
of the matching buckles on the opposite side.
TIP
Loose the buckles on the strap (B) and toss the webbing
under the machine.
4. Pull the bottom edge of the cover down as far as
possible, all the way around the vehicle.
NOTE
Do not try to fit the cover over the license plate.
5. At the rear of the vehicle, open the zippered
pocket and attach the buckles (C) together. Pull
the webbing on each side, evenly, until the
webbing is snug as shown in figure. Do not tighten
the new strap, yet.
6. Along the entire perimeter of the cover
, pull the
fabric down to cover the tires (D) as much as
possible and remove all excess fabric and
wrinkles.
7. Tighten the webbing at the rear of the cover
to
take up any excess slack. Pull firmly, alternating
sides to keep the buckle on center, pull the buckle
out away from the machine to help set the
webbing. The webbing should be tight around the
base of the vehicle.
