SMC's family of USB products offers a convenient and cost-
effective means of bringing straightforward peripheral
connectivity to the desktop based on the Universal Serial
Bus (USB). These products feature true plug-and-play
connection of PC peripherals "outside the box" and mark a
significant advance in desktop cable management. Using
the EZ Networking™ USB to Ethernet Converter you can
simplify PC connections in the home, office, or on the road.
The SMC2208USB/ETH USB to 10/100 Mbps Ethernet
adapter product supports Plug-and-Play and is easy to
install. The included EZ Installation Wizard makes
driver/utility installation a breeze. The USB to 10/100 Mbps
Ethernet Adapter is bus-powered, hence, it draws power
from the USB port of the host PC and requires no external
power supply. Simply plug in this new SMC2208USB/ETH,
which uses Type A USB port, to your Laptop/Desktop's USB
port and connect a Category 5 cable to the RJ-45 connec-
tor. You are now ready to connect and access network
resources.
