RefrigeratorCompartment
•Toreducehumidityandconsequentincreaseof frostneverplaceliquids in unsealed
containersintherefrigerator.Frost tendstoconcentratein thecoldestpartsof the
evaporatorandintimewillrequiremorefrequentdefrosting.
•Neverplace warmfood inthe refrigerator.Warmfood should be allowed to cool at
roomtemperatureand shouldbe arrangedto ensureadequate aircirculation in the
refrigeratorcompartment.
•Nothingshouldtouchonthe backwallas itwillcausefrostandthe packagescan
stickonthe backwall. Do notopentherefrigeratordoortoofrequently.
•Arrange the meat and cleaned fish(wrapped in packages or sheets ofplastic) which
youwill use in 1-2 days,in the bottomsection ofthe refrigeratorcompartment(that is
abovethecrisper) asthisisthe coldestsectionandwillensure thebeststoring
conditions.
•Youcan put thefruits andvegetables into crisper withoutpacking.
FreezerCompartment
•Theuseoffreezeris,storingof deep-frozenorfrozenfoodsfor longperiodsoftime
and making ice cubes.
•Tofreeze fresh food, ensurethatas much of thesurface aspossible offood tobe
frozen is in contact with thecoolingsurface.
•Donot putfreshfoodwithfrozenonside bysideasitcanthaw thefrozenfood.
•While freezing fresh foods(i.emeat,fishand mincemeat), divide them in partsyou
will useinone time.
•Oncethe unithas beendefrostedreplacethefoodsintofreezerand remember to
consumethem inasshort periodof time.
•Neverplacewarmfoodinthefreezercompartment.Asitwill disturbthe frozen foods.
•For storing the frozen foods;the instructions shownon frozen food packages should
always be followed carefullyandifno informationis provided foodshould not be
storedfor morethan 3months fromthe purchased date.
•When buying frozen foods ensure thatthese havebeen frozen at suitable
temperatures andthatthe packing is intact.
•Frozen foods should be transported inappopriate containersto maintain the quality
of thefoodandshouldbe returnedto thefreezingsurfacesoftheunitintheshortest
possibletime.
•Ifapackageoffrozen foodshows thesignofhumidityandabnormalswellingitis
probablethatithasbeenpreviously storedatanunsuitabletemperatureandthat
thecontentshavedeteriorated.
•Thestroragelife of froozenfoodsdependson theroom temperature, thermostat
setting, how oftenthedoorisopened,thetypeoffoodandthe lengthof time required
totransporttheproductfromtheshoptoyourhome.Alwaysfollow theinstruductions
printed onthe packageandneverexceedthe maximumstorage lifeindicated.
Notthat; ifyouwanttoopenagainimmediatelyafterclosingthefreezerdoor,itwillnotbe
opened easily.It’squite normal!Afterreaching equilibriumcondition,the doorwill be
opened easily.
