1. Press the Power button on the SL2
2. Go to www.soberlink.net and click on User Login to access your account
3. Once logged in, click the Enroll New Client button
4. On the SL2, select “Start” with the left display button
The device will display the Device ID and Security PIN and will begin checking for
activation on a monitoring portal.
5. On the Monitoring Web Portal, enter the Device ID and Security PIN, along
with the client’s name and time zone, and click Activate.
Once the Activation Information has been entered accurately and there is a
cellular connection, the SL2 will display a “Successfully Activated” message and
the Monitoring Web Portal will show a green checkmark, confirming that the
device is ready to submit a test.
The Device ID is also displayed on the bottom
of the device where the micro-USB port is
located.

• The Home Page displays all clients currently being monitored and allows for the addition
of new clients. Each test can be clicked on to open a Test Detail page where the Master
Photo can be set.

Notification of retesting requirement
• Enable Schedule will send text reminders to the client’s mobile number at the scheduled test times (shown at
right). Upon first entry of a cell number, the client will receive an opt-in text message and must reply with
“SUBSCRIBE”.
• Enable Retesting will prompt client to retest every 30 min if a test of .02 or higher is submitted (until BAC is below .
02 or 3 hours has elapsed). Lower BAC threshold available upon request.
• Variable Testing Windows allow the testing window to be set for 30 minute, 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour or 4 hour
durations. To set the test variable window select the preferred duration from the dropdown. Once a testing
window is set, the duration will apply to all tests for that particular client. The schedule will not allow double
booking of tests.
• The On Demand Test button will immediately initiate a test window with reminders. The On Demand Test will
always be scheduled as a 30 minute testing window. It is not affected by the selected variable testing window.

• The Alerts Page allows a contact to sign up for Real-time text or email Alerts based on
certain triggering events, and/or sign up to be emailed Automated Reports summarizing
all their clients’ activity.
• Upon first entry of a cell number or email address, the contact will receive an opt-in
request via text or email and must respond accordingly in order to receive the Alerts.

• Selecting a client and choosing Report allows the user to download various reporting options based on a date
range and including or excluding test notes. The Reports can also be accessed from the top toolbar.
• The report types are as follows:
Client Detail Report - shows a test by test list of testing history for one client
Consolidated Report - shows a summary of testing history for one client, including total positive/missed/late, etc.
Digest Report - shows a summary of testing history for multiple clients
Automated Reports - goes to a client’s Alerts page where the User can sign up for a summary report to be regularly
emailed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, that can be filtered for All Clients or Non-Compliant Clients only.

1. Archive Client
Log on to your account and choose Edit
under the client who has finished using SOBERLINK.
Click the Stop Monitoring button. This will move the client,
along with all client’s tests, to the Archive Section and
will “release” the Device to be activated
under a new client’s name.
2. Reset SL2
To reset the SL2 to factory settings, press both buttons
simultaneously to display the Menu Options screen, then
follow the instructions below:
Scroll down to highlight Reset Device
Click power button
Click left display button
Click right display button
Click power button
Once reset, the “Device Requires Activation” screen will appear.
The SL2 is now ready to be put back into inventory or assigned to
a new client, as shown in step 3 below.
3. Reassign SL2
To give the SL2 to a new client, click Start to receive the Device ID and
Security PIN. From www.soberlink.net log on to the account where the
new client will be monitored. Once logged into the desired account, click
Enroll New Client, enter the client’s name, select the time zone and
folder where the client will be added and enter the Device ID and Security
PIN from the SL2 screen.
