Type 2: Steel roof , decra and
roofing felt.
1: The roof needs a slope of min. 5°. Find the spot pointing so th (e.g. with a compass) where the collector
shall be placed and that fits with the desired location for the air inlet to the ho se. Note: The roof stands
need to be fixed to a bar or rafter, in order to get the needed stability. Beware of electrical installations like
cords from lamps and the like. The SolarVenti air collector can be mo nted either horizontally or follow the
roof slope.
2: Roof fla hing
Use a hole saw or similar - 140 mm – to make the hole. Predrill sing an extra-long 8 mm drill thro gh the
ins lation beneath the roof and the possible roofing nderlay in the middle of the 140 mm hole, yo j st
made in the roof s rface. The hole m st go all the way down thro gh the ceiling (NOTE: Beware of
electrical installations like cords from lamps and the like).
P ll the plastic cover of the roof flashing (A) and p t some SabetoFIX gl e (G) inside the white tape frame
as an extra sec rity (NOTE: Don’t se it all). Note: Yo have approx. 3-5 min. to fix the roof flashing (A) to
the roof, when the plastic cover is removed.
P t the roof flashing (A) on top of the hole and press it down so it fits sec rely on the roof. On wavy decra
and steel roofs yo have to be aware that the foil of the roof flashing always ends on a descending wave, so
the water can’t r n nder the roof flashing. If it does not end there nat rally, yo can se a tility knife, to
make it fit.
P t SabetoFIX gl e (G) aro nd the roof flashing (A) (Note: There sho ld be a little left). P t some water on
yo r finger and smear it aro nd and make s re that the roof installation is water sec re.
Use a screwdriver to make a hole for the wire in the roof flashing (A) near the 125mm pipe connection.

3: Roof Stand
As the roof stands are first to be assembled on the roof, please follow these steps:
Use the screws (I) to mo nt the al mini m profile c3 in a bar or rafter. REMEMBER to p t the roof press re
pads (H)/ braces (J) between the roof and the al mini m profile.
Mo nt the al mini m profile c4 on the fixed al mini m profile c3 on the roof. Select c2 or c1 to fit the roof
slope so the SolarVenti air collector has an angle of approx. 55°. Now assemble the roof stands completely.
5: Connection of the SolarVenti air collector
Fix the SolarVenti air collector to the two stands and tighten them with the Allen screws at the top.
P ll the cord thro gh the flexible hose (D) and down thro gh the cord hole in the roof flashing (A). Make an
excess of 5-10 cm of the cord between the solar air collector and the roof flashing. This is to be sed later.
Smear the SabetoFIX gl e (G) aro nd the cord at the penetration of the roof flashing to make the
installation watertight.
Connect the short 50 cm al flex pipe (E) ø125 mm (located in the box for the wall mo nting kit) to the
connecting pipe of the roof flashing. Note: Don’t se the al flex pipe (E) from the roof mo nting box,
beca se this pipe has to be sed for the indoor pipework.
Fix one of the Armaflex strips (B) aro nd the al flex pipe (E) at the end close to the roof. P ll the flexible
hose (D) over the al flex pipe (E) and the Armaflex strip (B). Fix one of the plastic strips (F) aro nd the
flexible hose (D) approx. in the middle of the Armaflex strip (B) close to the roof and tighten.
Now repeat the last section regarding the mo nting of the al flex pipe on the collector. Make a drip of the
5-10 cm excessive cord between the collector and the flexible hose, so the water can drain from the cord.
6: Indoor
Open the wall mo nting box and find the instr ction booklet for the wall mo nting. Find the section abo t
the indoor mo nting and follow the instr ctions regarding the al flex pipe (E), 175 cm, the valve etc.

Use two press re pads (H) per stand and p t
them between roof and al profile on a crest.
On Decra roofs yo might have to p t some
gl e (G) below the press re pads in order to
fill p the rill/ nevenness.
Use two braces (J) per stand and p t
them - with the flat side down -
between roof and al profile. Fix the
braces to the roof with the SabetoFIX
gl e (G).
