Thank you for choosing a Soleus Air 42” Tower Fan. This owner’s anual will provide you
with valuable infor ation necessary for the proper care and aintenance of your new product.
Please take a few o ents to thoroughly read the instructions and fa iliarize yourself with all
the operational aspects of your new fan.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. When using this electric unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
2. Read ALL instructions before using this unit.
3. Use only for intended household use as described in this anual.
4. Plug the fan directly into a 120 V A/C electrical outlet.
5. Never insert your fingers, pencils, or other objects through the fan grill during operation.
6. The fan should be used on a stable and level surface.
7. Do not expose the fan to excessive heat or hu idity. This could cause da age to the electrical co po-
nents.
8. Do not i erse in any type of liquid. Do not use near water.
9. The fan should be kept out of the reach of children. Close supervision is necessary when the fan is used by
or near children.
10. To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, do not store or use gasoline or other fla able vapors or liquids in
the vicinity of the fan.
11. Do not operate this or any appliance with a da aged cord, if the unit alfunctions, or if it has been
dropped or da aged in any anner. Connect to properly polarized outlets only.
12. Do not cover the cord or place near heat sources. Keep the cord away fro high traffic areas, and do not
sub erge in water.
13. Unplug the fan before oving, cleaning or aking repairs. NOTE: If for any reason this unit requires ser-
vice, return appliance to anufacturer or a si ilarly qualified service agent to ensure safety.
14. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
15. To disconnect, grip plug and pull fro wall outlet. Never pull on the cord to unplug.

TECHNICAL SPECI ICATIONS
WARNING: This fan is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). The plug is in-
tended to fit into a power outlet only one way, with the wide blade in the wide slot. This is a safety feature; if
you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician.
DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFET PURPOSE OF THE POLARIZED PLUG.

ASSEMBLY
1. First, put the pillar together (c). The pillar is ade of two separate halves. Make sure to pass the power
cord (b) through the iddle of the pillar before snapping the pillar pieces together and securing the with
the included screws.
2. Now, attach the pillar (c) to the fan body using the included pillar screws.
3. Next, put the fan base (d) together. Like the pillar the fan base is ade up of two separate halves. Make
sure to pass the power cord (b) through the iddle of the fan base prior to sliding the base pieces together.
There is a groove on the botto of the fan base for the power cord. Make sure this groove is aligned with
the back of the fan prior to attaching the fan base to the pillar.
4. Once the groove on the botto of the fan is aligned, attach the fan base using the included base screws.
5. Last, pass the cord through the groove on the fan base (d).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Set the fan on a stable, level surface. Plug the cord into a standard 120V A/C outlet.
The nu bers in (parentheses) refer to Fig. 2 on the next page.
POWERING ON THE AN (1)
The fan can be turned on by pressing the POWER button on the fan control panel or using the
supplied re ote control. The POWER button is also used to turn the fan off.
AN SPEED (2)
Press the SPEED button to select Low (L), Mediu (M), or High (H) fan speed.
OSCILLATION (3)
The fan can operate in oscillation or stationary ode. Press the OSCILLATE button on the
control panel or re ote control to start oscillation. To turn Oscillation off, si ply press the
OSCILLATE button once ore.
WIND MODES (4)
Press the MODE button on the fan control panel or re ote to select one of the three wind
odes. When the fan is initially powered-on, the default wind ode (nor al) is selected. Press
the MODE button once to select Natural wind ode (M1), and twice to select Rhyth wind
ode (M2). During Natural wind ode, the fan will si ulate the airflow of the wind by
rando ly cycling through its 3 fan speeds. Rhyth wind ode will cycle through the fan
speeds in order of Low, Mediu , and High.
TIMER (5)
The fan can be progra ed to auto atically shut-off after a set period of ti e. The ti er can
be set for 30 inute incre ents. The axi u progra ed ti e is 7.5 hours. To start the
Ti er, press the TIMER button on the control panel or the supplied re ote. Each press of the
TIMER button will increase the ti er by 30 inutes. Once the Ti er button is pressed, a green
LED light on the front of the fan will light up according to the selected ti e. If ore than one
LED light is lit, the ti er is progra ed for the su of the ti es represented by the LED
lights. If all ti er lights are lit, then the fan will be progra ed for the axi u 7.5 hours.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1. Turn the fan off and unplug the unit.
2. Wipe the fan down with a da p cloth for ost efficient operation.
3. Air dry the fan co pletely before use.
4. Never use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. This ay cause da age or deterioration to the surface of
the unit.
5. Do not i erse the fan in any for of liquid. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan otor
housing.
STORAGE
If the fan will not be used for a long period of ti e, store it in a cool, dry location when not in use. To
prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the original packaging to repack the unit.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
A ther ostat is built-in to the otor to prevent overheating. If the fan te perature exceeds the li it on the
ther ostat, the fan will auto atically shut-off to prevent overheating and protect the fan co ponents fro
da age.
REMOTE CONTROL
The supplied re ote uses 2 “AAA” batteries. The re ote will work at a distance of roughly 25 feet, and an
angle of 60°.

WARRANTY
One Year Limited Warranty
Soleus International Inc. warrants the acco panying Soleus Air FC1-42R-21 Tower Fan to be free of defects in
aterial and work anship for the applications specified in its operation instruction for a period of ONE (1) year fro
the date of original retail purchase in the United States.
If the unit exhibits a defect in nor al use, Soleus International Inc. will, at its option, either repair or replace it, free of
charge within a reasonable ti e after the unit is returned during the warranty period.
As a condition to any warranty service obligation, the consu er ust present this Warranty Certificate along with a
copy of the original purchase invoice.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
• Da age, accidental or otherwise, to the unit while in the possession of a consu er not caused by a defect in
aterial or work anship.
• Da age caused by consu er isuse, ta pering, or failure to follow the care and special handling provisions
in the instructions. This includes dents, accidental or otherwise, to the base and head of the unit.
• Da age to the finish of the case, or other appearance parts caused by wear.
• Da age caused by repairs or alterations of the unit by anyone other than those authorized by Soleus
International Inc.
• Freight and Insurance cost for the warranty service.
ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY ARE LIMITED TO
ONE-YEAR DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC.
DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND IN NO EVENT
SHALL SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE UNIT FOR
BREACH OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THIS UNIT.
This warranty covers only new products purchased fro our authorized dealers or retailers. It does not cover used,
salvaged, or refurbished products.
As so e states do not allow the li itation or exclusion of incidental or consequential da ages, or do not allow
li itation on i plied warranties, the above li itations and exclusions ay not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you ay also have other rights that vary fro state to state.
