CONNECTION
Using a Mobile Phone

NOTE: The following steps are for iPhone as well as Android. (Shown images are of iPhone,
but same can be followed in Android).
STEPS FOR CONNECTING SOLIS WI-FI DONGLE
STEP 1:
•Take your phone near your inverter.
•Make sure you have the details of your home Wi-Fi, such as name and password.
STEP 2:
•Turn OFF your Mobile Data.
(iPhone - Go to: Settings< Mobile< Mobile Data< Off ; Android - Go to: Settings<
Connections< Data Usage< Mobile Data< Off)
•Forget your home Wi-Fi connection (make sure you know the password before going
forward with this step)
(Go to: Settings< Wi-Fi< Select your home Wi-Fi< choose forget).
There will be two options available, disconnect or forget, make sure you select forget
and NOT disconnect.
•OR Turn off autojoin option.

STEP 3:
On your iPhone/Android screen, press SETTINGS

Click on Wi-Fi option as shown below

STEP 5:
The Solis Wi-Fi dongle will show up as a Wi-Fi network (AP XXXXXXXXXX) in your available
network list, in the Wi-Fi settings. The number (XXXXXXXXXX) will be same the Serial
Number of your Wi-Fi dongle.
NOTE: The number shown here is just an
example, you’ll have a different number
that will be same as your Wi-Fi dongle
Serial Number (AP XXXXXXXXXX).

STEP 6:
Click and join the AP XXXXXXXXXX network.

STEP 7:
Open Safari/Chrome browser and type IP address 10.10.100.254

STEP 8:
You should get a screen prompt asking for username and password.
Username: admin
Password: admin
STEP 9:
You will see a screen as shown. From the top left corner, press WIZARD.

STEP 10:
You will see a table containing Wi-Fi names. Select your Wi-Fi name and ensure that the
RSSI is more than 30%. Click Next once you have selected your network.
NOTE: Instead of Solis, you
should see your home Wi-Fi
name.

STEP 11:
Enter your home Wi-Fi’s password, click Show Password as shown. You do not need to
change anything else apart from the password in this step. Click Next.

STEP 12:
Once you have entered the password, you will see a screen as shown below.
You don’t need to change anything in this screen. Click Next.

STEP 13:
At this point, click OK. And then wait for 10-20 seconds as shown below.

STEP 14:
After 10-20 seconds, you should get a message: “Settings complete please close this page
manually!.”
NOTE: If you don’t see the above message after 10-20 seconds,
•Go back to your Wi-Fi settings
•Turn Off your Wi-Fi and then turn it back ON
•Check if you are still connected to AP XXXXXXXXXX or is AP XXXXXXXXXX still visible.
(Also, you should NOT be connected to your home network.)
•If you can see/connected to the AP XXXXXXXXXX network, the setup was NOT done
properly.
•Confirm your home Wi-Fi password and ensure that you are using 2.4GHz internet.
•Repeat all the steps again.

NOTE: If you can see the message “Settings complete please close this page manually!.”
•Just for confirmation that the setup done was right, refresh your Wi-Fi list and check
if you can still see/connected to AP XXXXXXXXXX.
▪If it is visible, you have to do all the steps again.
▪If it is not visible, the setup is COMPLETED.
STEP 15:
Refer to ‘m.ginlong.com setup’PDF shared with you to create an account on the web
portal after completing all the steps.

Use Solis Home app to register an account and build a plant.
