•EnsurepowerON/OFFswitchlocatedunderlefthandsideofthecanopyonthereisswitchedtoon.
•NOTE:The remote control handset uses an Infra-Red beam (not a radio frequency) and therefore must
be directly pointed at the centre of the appliance.
•TURNINGFIREON/OFF - Press the coloured button to switch the re on and off. This re is designed
to slowly fade down when turned off, please allow a couple of seconds for this to happen.
•NOTE: If you have turned the re off using the manual switch on the re the handset will not recognise
this has happened and will think that the re is still on. You can see this has happened if the re is off but
the display on the handset is still illuminated. In this instance pressing the on/off button on the handset
will turn the handset off and then pressing the on/off button again will turn re & handset back on.
•NOTE: HandsetSleepMode – After about 25 seconds the handset will go into sleep mode to save battery
life. To reactivate handset press any button (except on/off) THEN press your desired control buttons.
•Heater– Heat 2kW (H2) / Heat 1kW (H1) Heat off (H0). The fan will continue to run for approx 10
seconds after turning off to get rid of any residual heat in the re.
•NOTE: Should the fan heater not come on or switches off after a period of time, check that the target
temperature +/- is set high enough.
•FlamePicture– Front & rear fuel bed & ames / Front fuel bed & ames / No ames / No illumination
•FlameBrightness– High / Medium / Low
•FuelBedBrightness– High / Medium / Low

•Power On/Off switch not on.
•User isn’t pointing handset at re.
•User presses ‘power off’ button but doesn’t point handset at re.
•Remote screen goes off but re will stay on.
•User needs to press power again - turning handset back on.
•Repeat the process pointing remote at re.
•User presses ‘ame picture button’ until “no illumination” setting.
•Consumer may think the re is now off.
•Pressing the on/off button will be turning the re on/off but as the illumination is turned off the user will
not know.
•Ensure handset is illuminated and press “ame picture button”.
