Quick Start GuideYoLink Plug Mini

Introducon
With control of the plug, you can easily control lights and home electric devices via YoLink App on
your iOS or Android devices, as well as popular voice assistants and 3rd-party automaon apps
such as IFTTT.

Set Up
Set Up - First-Time YoLink Users (Exisng users proceed to Add Device, next page)
* Get ready: your To set up and use YoLink Plug Mini, you will need an Apple iPhone or tablet that is iOS 9.0 or higher, or an Android phone or
tablet that is Android 4.4 or higher
Follow the steps below to set up your YoLink Plug Mini via the YoLink app
Download YoLink app through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Log in or create a new account if required
Download, and log
in to YoLink app

YoLink Hub is required to set up your . Please set up your YoLink Hub firstYoLink Plug Mini (refer

* Ethernet patch cable (included) to your network
(router, switch, etc.), recommended, but oponal.
Otherwise connect your Hub to your home Wi-Fi
network. Refer to the Hub set up manual for more
informaon:

Timer
With YoLink app, you can set up a mer to turn on or/and off the plug mini
Note
One mer will run only once. You can set a new mer aer the mer has already run or once you
cancel it

Schedule
Create on/off schedules to automate your to work plug mini around your home and work schedules
Note
You can have a maximum 6 schedules at one me
You may add as many schedules as you want in Automaon sengs. Automaon sengs are saved
in the cloud

Scene
Set one-click control for mulple devices in your YoLink app. You can only run a scene via your
YoLink app
Go to “Smart”, tap “Scene” followed by the “ ” icon to add a scene
Fill in details followed by the “ ” icon

Go to “Smart”, tap “Automaon” followed by the “ ” icon to add an automaon

Go to Sengs > Voice Assistants for the applicable voice assistant integraon guide

Connect YoLink with third-party voice assistants service to control or monitor the status of
your devices through voice commands
* YoLink Plug Mini is integrated with Alexa and Google Assistant, and is also integrated with IFTTT .com, works as acon devices using IFTTT

About YoLink Control
YoLink Control is our unique device-to-device control technology. Using YoLink Control, YoLink
devices can be controlled without the Hub or an internet connecon. (Use of YoLink Control is
oponal; you can use the Automaon feature in the app OR use YoLink Control, but YoLink
Control offers the benefit of operaon without the Hub or internet connecon.)
One device controls another, directly. A device that sends out commands is called the controller. A
device that receives the commands is called the responder. Examples of a controller are a Door
Sensor or YoLink Plug Mini, while examples of a responder are another In-wall Switch or anoter
YoLink Plug Mini
To configure your YoLink Plug Mini as a co ntrolle r, Tu rn on the plug using POWER buon
or via Yo Link app (verify the Statu s LED of YoLink Plug Mini displays blu e). Press and hold
the POWER buon for 5-10 seconds u nl the LED quickly blinks blue
Upon pairing, the LED will stop blinking (this may happen aer only blinking two or three mes)
To configure a In-wall Switch as the responder. Turn on the switch using POWER buon or
via YoLink app (verify the Status LED of In-wall Switch displays white). Press and hold the
POWER buon for 5-10 seconds unl the LED quickly blinks blue

If you want to turn off the In-wall Switch when the s on, turn off the In-wall Switch plug turn
first, and let it enter pairing mode
For the same YoLink Plug Mini and In-wall Switch, you can only choose to either turn on or
turn off the In-wall Switch when the plug turns on
If you want to turn on or off th e In-wall Sw itch when the plug tu rns off, turn o ff the pl ug
(verify the Status LE D of YoLi nk Plug Mini displays red), and let the tur ned off plug ente r
pairing mode
Also for the same YoLink Plug Mini and In-wall Switch, you can only choose to either turn on
or turn off the In-wall Switch when the plug turns off

When the plug turns on, the In- wall Switch will now immediately turn on. The switch will
remain turned on unl turned off using the POWER buon or via the app
More advanced sequences, controlling mulple outputs (e.g. turn off switch) are available
via the YoLink app

Unpairing
At the YoLink Plug Mini (controller), turn on the plug using POWER buon or via YoLink app
(verify the Status LED of YoLink Plug Mini displays blue). Press and hold the POWER buon
for 10-15 seconds unl the LED quickly blinks blue, then red
Upon un-pairing, either the YoLink Plug Mini LED or the In-wall Switch LED will stop blinking and
return to the previous color (plug: blue for turned on, switch: white for turned on, red for turned
off)

The In-wall Switch will no longer respond when the YoLink Plug Mini turns on
Note
If you want to unpair the YoLink Plug Mini (turned off status) with the In-wall Switch, turn off
the plug (verify the Status LED of YoLink Plug Mini displays red), and let it enter unpairing mode
