DIGITAL ADJUSTMENT CONTROL - PCP1231
1/2 STEREO MUSIC CHANNELS
DESCRIPTION
1+1 W stereo amplified control with digital volume adjustment, possibility
of selecting two music channels, LOUDNESS, SUPERBASS, SCAN and
SLEEP function, output for earphones and input for walkman.
NOTE: The system must be wired up separately from the electricity
mains, according to regulations.
After making the connection, switch the main unit on and make
sure there are two audio sources connected to the main unit
(tuners or another external audio source). If a telecontrol is used
make sure the main unit uses the telecontrol by voltage (see infor-
mation on main unit).Check the position of the MONO/STEREO
switch (10). If both speakers have been installed in that room the
switch will be placed on Stereo (position by defect).
If only one speaker has been installed in that room place the swit-
ch on MONO (M). Apply ON/OFF pushbutton (5) and make sure
the ON LED (6) comes on. Keep the Volume + key (1) pressed
until the music is heard at desired level and let it go. To lower the
music level apply Volume - key (2).
Switch control on: Apply ON/OFF pushbutton (5) and verify that
the “on” LED (6) has come on.
Turn volume up: To increase the sound level of the music apply
Volume + key (1). The “on” led (6) will flash whilst this key is
pressed or until the maximum volume is reached.
Turn volume down: To reduce the sound level of the music apply
Volume – key (2). The “on” led (6) will flash whilst this key is
pressed or until the minimum volume is reached.
Superbass function: The default control comes with the
Loudness option (“on” led (6) on red); if you want greater bass
enhancement, apply volume + (1) and volume – (2) keys at the
same time, thus activating the Superbass function (“on” led (6)
will turn green).
Switch control off: To switch the control off, lightly press the ON/
OFF pushbutton (5) and verify that the “on” LED (6) goes off.
SLEEP function: If you wish to activate the SLEEP function
(timed off) instead of pressing it lightly (which turns it off imme-
diately), keep the key pressed down until the “on” LED starts to
flash, thus indicating the SLEEP activation. The control will go off
automatically after about 30 minutes. If, with the SLEEP function
activated, we press the ON/OFF key again, the control will go off
immediately.
Note: Whilst the SLEEP function is activated, all the other
functions of the control will remain operative.
SCAN function: If the musical signal comes from a SONELCO tuner
and the SCAN line is connected, the station can be selected by applying
the SCAN button (9) (the “on” led (6) will flash whilst the key is pressed
down).

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
INSTALLATION EXAMPLE
Note: The application mode of the SCAN function depends on the
tuner used. See relative Technical Information on the tuner.
Activate 2nd channel: When the control is connected, by default music
channel 1 is selected, which is indicated by LED (7) being off. If we wish
to listen to channel 2 we will press key (8). Channel 2 is selected by
means of LED (7), which comes on. To return to channel 1 just press
the key again.
Earphones: If you wish to listen to the music through earphones, use
connector (4). When the earphone jack is inserted the speakers will
automatically disconnect.
Walkman: If you wish to reproduce a local sound source (Walkman type)
through the control and speakers use connector (3). You will need the
correct connection cable to connect it to the earphone output of your
walkman (see our catalogue or purchase it from any sound or electronics
shop). When the Walkman is connected the music from the main unit will
automatically be disconnected, regardless of the channel selected, and
the music from the local sound source will be heard.
