2.4Powersupply
Thedevice isoperatedwithelectricalpower,whichmeansthatthereisthefundamentaldanger

Whendrivinginacar,storethedevice insuchawaythatthepassengersarenotendange-

Ifyoushipthedevice,storeitinitsoriginalpackage.Savethepackage forthispurpose.
2.8Environmentalconditions
Thesafeoperationofthedevice presumesthattheenvironmentalconditionsareappropriate
forthedevice.Youshouldthereforepayattentiontothefollowing:

Donotinsertanyobjectsintothedevice.Whenyoupluginorremovethecables, make
surethisisdoneinaverticalposition.

Donotplace anytypesofiPodsontheiPoddockingstationotherthanthosethatareappro-
ved.
2.10Usingheadphones
Always reduce thevolumeofthedevice beforeyouputonyourheadphones.Onlyincrease
thevolumetothedesiredlevelonce theheadphonesareproperlypositioned.
Whenyoulistenwithheadphones,donotturnthevolumetoo high. Ifyoufeelacontinuous

noiseorbackground sound inyourears(ringing),reduce thevolumeordiscontinueusing
theheadphones.
Evenifyourheadphonesaredesignedinsuchawaythatyoucancontinuetoperceiveex-
ternalsounds,youshouldneversetthevolumesohighthatyouareunabletostillperceive
yourenvironment.
2.11Defects
Ifthedevice shouldeverhaveanydefects,donotattempt torepairitbyyourself.
Ifthepowerplug,theadapterorthepowercableofthisdevice aredamaged,theyhave
tobereplacedbythemanufacturerorhiscustomerservice toavoiddangersresultingin
electricshock.
Ifanyliquidhasenteredthedevice orifitwasdroppedorotherwisedamaged, thedevice
hastobecheckedbyanauthorizedspecializeddealer.Unplugthedevice fromthepower
gridand contactanauthorizedspecializeddealer.
2.12Cleaning
Always turnoff thedevice beforecleaningit.
Onlycleanthedevice ontheoutsidewiththeprovidedclothoranotherdry,soft cloth.Never
useanyharshorsolvent-containingcleaningmaterials,since thesedamage thesurface of
thedevice.
Ifthedevice isextremelydirty, itmayalsobewipedoffwithaslightlymoistclothand dried

5.1Unpackingthedevice
Allpartsofthedevice aredeliveredinabox.
