Product overview
R300 is establishing an energized radio experience by addressing the design, function and user
experience aspects. It is a thin bar phone, 12 mm thick, and it offers a dual front radio design by having an
eye-catching speaker on the back side to reinforce the radio association and give a contemporary look
and feel. It can stand up stable on its side so the speaker is facing the user rather than facing up.
It is one of the first phones with an integrated radio that receives both FM and AM broadcasts. Follow a
game or listen to your favorite radio show live on your mobile. You can also wake up with an alarm from
your favorite channel. The included portable handsfree is your FM/AM antenna. Plug it in and scan the
band.
The radio is easy to use. Start auto save and store up to 20 channels. Three of these, AM or FM, can be
reached through the radio preset keys on the back of the phone. Share the fun through the power speaker
and let others listen too. If you are in a noisy environment, turn on the volume boost. The radio listening
time is up to 27 hours via portable handsfree and up to seven hours via speaker.
With the audio enhancer key, you can choose to activate volume boost in speaker mode or 3D sound
enhancement in PHF mode, for an even better listening experience.
R300 contains radio with recording functionality for playing at a more convenient period of time. The
functionality will be available on selected markets. TrackID™ is included to further enhance the music
experience.
R300 also includes a lot of other features, such as VGA camera, MP3 ring tones, Bluetooth™, alarm,
calculator, calendar, predictive text input, SMS, MMS, phonebook and Java MIDP 2.0.

Key features
AM/FM radio
The AM/FM radio offers instant and easy access to AM/FM radio channels. Just plug in the handsfree that
works as an antenna and start listening to your music. The radio can also be used as an alarm signal.
FM radio with RDS
The FM radio with RDS (radio data system) offers instant and easy access to FM radio channels. The RDS
function brings information directly to the screen, which is sent out by the currently tuned in radio station.

be used as an alarm signal.
TrackID™
TrackID™ enables the user to identify a track playing in the room. A few seconds of the song is sampled,
then the phone connects to an online database, which identifies the song and returns title, artist and
album information.
Dual front
This phone has an eye-catching loudspeaker on the back and a dual radio-phone design on the front.
Turn the phone horizontally and it stands up stable on its side, facing the user.
Enhanced audio experience
To support very loud volume in noisy environment there is an audio enchance key for the user to maximize
the volume from the loudspeaker. With the audio enhancer key, you can choose to activate volume boost
in speaker mode or 3D sound enhancement in PHF mode, for an even better listening experience.
1.8 inch colour screen
The 1.8 inch (128x160 pixels), full graphic, 65k colour, TFT (Thin Film Transistor) screen provides a high-
quality display.
VGA camera
With the user-friendly VGA camera, taking pictures becomes easy and fun. Taking a picture and sending it
as part of a picture message is quick and simple.
Short Message Service (SMS)
SMS lets you send text messages using your mobile phone.
Picture Messaging
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a logical extension of SMS and EMS. MMS lets you combine
sound and image into multimedia messages.
WML/HTML-MP Web browser support
Browse the Internet and look at Web sites.

Bluetooth™ wireless technology
Several devices (simultaneous Bluetooth™ connections) can be connected up to 10 metres (33 feet) away
using Bluetooth wireless technology. For example, when the phone rings, it can be answered with a
Bluetooth headset. Images can be wirelessly sent to another phone. The phone and a computer can
exchange data such as images, vCards, music files and calendar data. Bluetooth version 2.0 is supported.
Java™
Download additional information and entertainment applications. This gives users a chance to personalize
the functions and features in their phones, and developers the opportunity to create new applications.
Gaming
Gaming is a very popular feature in mobile phones, and with Java, users can download new games and
skill levels to further enhance their entertainment experience. Two embedded games are included in the
phone at purchase.
Polyphonic sound
Polyphonic ringtones, 32 simultaneous sounds.
Calendar
Fully functional calendar with day or month view, and a task reminder.
Alarm
Set a time and your phone will ring at the time. Choose the radio to be your alarm ringtone and wake up to
your favorite station.
Vibrating alert
The phone vibrates and you feel when a call comes in.
