GENERAL
This section is extracted
from instruction manual.
Notes on chip component replacement
• Never reuse a disconnected chip component.
• Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor may be
damaged by heat.
Flexible Circuit Board Repairing
• Keep the temperature of soldering iron around 270˚C
during repairing.
• Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the
circuit board (within 3 times).
• Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when soldering
or unsoldering.
Check the remaining power of the
headphone batteries
Pull up the suspender, and check that the
headphones’power indicator lights in red. You
can now use the headphones.
Charge the batteries or install new batteries, if the
power indicator light is weak or turned off and
the sound become distorted or has a lot of noise.

Depress the audio mode switch (VOICE mode) to
emphasize the human voice. Press to release it
(NORMAL mode) for normal tone quality.

SECTION 3
ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
Notes:
1. The adjustments should be performed in the order given. (As a
generalrulethetransmittersection(TMR-IF630R)adjustments
shouldbe completed before performing the headphones section
(MDR-IF630R) adjustment.)
2.
The adjustment and measurements should be performed for both
L-ch and R-ch unless otherwise indicated.
3. L-ch adjustment should be completed before performing R-ch
adjustment
4. Supply 9V dc to the transmitter section (TMR-IF630R) and 2.4 V
dcto theheadphonessection (MDR-IF630R)asthe powervoltage.
HEADPHONES SECTION 0 dBV=315 mVrms
Note:
1. On adjusting the headphones section (MDR-IF630R), use the
transmitter (TMR-IF630R) as a jig.
[ TUNING ADJUSTMENT ]
Preparation:
1. Feed a signal to jig (TMR-IF630R) and connect a power supply
to DC IN jack (J4).
2. Supply DC 2.4 V between VCC and GND on the RX BASE
board.
3. Set RV301 (VOL) on the RX BASE board to the maximum
positon.
4. Set SW301 on the RX BASE board to OFF (NORMAL).
Connection:
Adjustment Procedure:
1. Connect the distortion meter to L+/L–(L-ch) and R+/R–(R-ch).
2. Adjust with L204 (L-ch) and L104 (R-ch) on the RX BASE
board to minimize the reading on the distortion meter.
