Sony’s MDR-NC22 noise canceling headphones enhance your listening
experience by reducing up to 87.4 percent of ambient noise1. The
compact and comfortable earbud-style headphones t in the palm of your
hand yet deliver powerful sound, while a convenient monitor switch allows
you to silence your audio and listen outside.
Noise canceling technology
Noise canceling headphones reduce ambient noise and provide a quieter environment to
enhance audio entertainment. The headphones have an inside microphone on each earpiece
that work with an electronic circuitry to create an opposite sound wave to reduce wave.
Ambient sound is reduced by synthesizing with a sound in opposite phase produced by the noise
canceling circuit.
Noise reduction
Reduces noise up to 87.4% (9db at 300Hz) when noise canceling circuit is switched on1.
13.5mm driver units
The drivers sit just outside the ear with the tip of the earbud small enough to t into the ear canal
for additional comfort, secure t and sound blockage.
Ideal for:
Loud, noisy environments – planes, trains, buses, work or dorms.
Unique feature:
The built-in monitor function allows you to hear surrounding sound without taking o the
headphones. Perfect for listening to announcements, ight attendants, or any external sound
without the need to take the headphones o.
Passive function
The headphones can operate as passive headphones when the noise canceling circuit is not
activated. It allows the headphone to function as regular stereo headphones without using the
battery.
Plug adapter
A supplied plug adapter connects directly to stereo or dual jack of in-ight music services.3
Design
These ultra compact headphones t comfortably inside the ear, eliminating a headband. The
closed type headphone structure delivers deep bass sound.
