•Adjustment of factory preset mode
Repeat the following operations as many times as the num-
ber of preset frequency sets.
(1) Input the signal that is to be confirmed.
(2) Set ZOOM to Full-1.
(3) Check that H_CENTER is appropriate.
(4) Check that V_CENTER is appropriate.
(5) Check that PITCH is appropriate.
(6) Check that PHASE is appropriate.
(7) If not, make adjustment and save the adjusted data.
•Adjustment of white balance
When no measuring instrument is used, compare the color
with the reference set so that the colors will be the same.
1. Adjustment of 9300°K
(1) Receive MODE29 (1280 × 1024 60Hz) 30IRE.
Set COLOR to 9300°K. (COLOR_INDEX=1)
(2) Begin with adjustment value, R_DRV_MAX, "G/
B_DRV_MAX" -20.
(Adjusted value by set-up adjustment)
(3) Make adjustment with R/G_USR_DRV to set the chroma-
ticity within the specification.
y adjustment ..... Make adjustment with G_USR_DRV.
G_USR_DRV DOWN Value y decrease.
G_USR_DRV UP Value y increase.
x adjustment .....Make adjustment with R_USR_DRV.
R_USR_DRV UP Value y increases.
R_USR_DRV DOWN Value y decreases.
(4) Make the signal 30IRE all white to check that it is within the
specification.
(5) Input a gray scale to check the picture quality.
(6) Conduct color save ( Select C with ALT + M ).
Spec: 9300°K 30IRE (x, y) = (0.285, 0.294)
Within 3JND
Check the following specification for dispersion control
without adjustment.
9300°K 30IRE (x, y) = (0.285, 0.294)
Within 5JND
Note:Make adjustment up to ±0.0002.
2. Adjustment of 6500°K
(1) Receive MODE29 (1280 × 1024 60Hz) 50IRE.
Set COLOR to 6500°K. (COLOR_INDEX=2)
(2) Begin with adjustment value, R_DRV_MAX, "G/
B_DRV_MAX" -10.
(3) Make adjustment with R/B_USR_DRV to set the chroma-
ticity within the specification.
y adjustment ..... Make adjustment with B_USR_DRV.
(The value x also changes.)
B_USR_DRV UP Values x and y decrease.
B_USR_DRV DOWN Values x and y increase.
x adjustment .....Make adjustment with R_USR_DRV.
R_USR_DRV UP Value y increases.
R_USR_DRV DOWN Value y decreases.
(4) Make the signal 30IRE all white to check that it is within the
specification.
(5) Input a gray scale to check the picture quality.
(6) Conduct color save ( Select C with ALT + M ) and get out of
the adjustment mode.
Spec: 6500°K 50IRE (x, y) = (0.314, 0.324)
Within 3JND
Check the following specification for dispersion control
without adjustment.
6500°K 30IRE (x, y) = (0.314, 0.324)
Within 4JND
Note:Make adjustment up to ±0.0002.
3. Adjustment of 5000°K
(1) Receive MODE29 (1280 × 1024 60Hz) 50IRE.
Set COLOR to 5000°K. (COLOR_INDEX=3)
(2) Begin with adjustment value, R/G/B_DRV_MAX.
(3) Make adjustment with R/B_USR_DRV to set the chroma-
ticity within the specification when 50IRE is input. (The H/
L input level is 50IRE only for 5000°K.)
y adjustment .....Make adjustment with B_USR_DRV.
(6) Conduct color save ( Select C with ALT + M )and get out of
the adjustment mode.
Spec: 5000°K 50IRE (x, y) = (0.345, 0.352)
Within 3JND
Check the following specification for dispersion control
without adjustment.
5000°K 30IRE (x, y) = (0.345, 0.352)
Within 4JND
Note: Make adjustment up to ±0.002. Check to see if the
specification “within 5000°K ±3JND” is met when
adjustment up to ±0.0002 is impossible although
B_USR_DRV can be lowered to 0 because of the nature
of PRE-AMP, for which white balance adjustment is
made. If the specification is met, there is no problem.
