Precautions
WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT
Generally, when the brightness of a microscope’s light
source is changed by altering the voltage of the light
source,
the
brightness
of
the
field
of
view
and
the
color
temperature of the light source also changes.
This will affect the color reproduction in the video system.
Each time the light source is changed by altering the
voltage of the light source, readjust the white balance of the
video camera. For white balance adjustment, refer to the
video camera’s instruction manual.
ILLUMINATION
Excessively
bright
illumination
of
the
microscope
may
cause
damage
to
the
pickup
tube
of
the
video
camera.
Therefore,
in
the
case
of
manual
light
control,
take
care
when
changing
from
high
magnification
to
low
magnification.
The
image
brightness
will
increase
suddenly.
Care and maintenance
e Avoid subjecting the MVA-20 to shock or impact, because
it is equipped with precise optical parts.
«Keep the equipment away from excessive dust and
moisture. After use, the equipment should always be
covered with the supplied cap.
¢ Be careful when cleaning the MVA-20.
Clean it with a blower or a soft brush.

PARTS
2-1. Replacement of Wedge Assy
1.
Loose
the
four
screws
and
remove
the
mirror
tube
(rear).
When
it is
hard
to
remove
the
Inirror
tube,
loose
the
two
screws

Remove
the
four
screws
and
remove
the
wedge
covers of both sides.
Remove
the
four
screws
as
illustrated
and
disconnect
the
3-pin
connector
to
remove
the wedge assy.
Check
a
surface
of
the
filter
of
the
wedge
assy
is
clean.
Then,
install
the
wedge
assy
with
the
revese
procedures
for
removel.
When
the
wedge
does
not
move
smoothly
after
replacing,
use
the
grease
below.

Remove the wedge assy, referring to steps l
through 3 in 2-l. Replacement of Wedge Assy.
Cut the cable clamper fixing the cable and
take it off.
Pull the harness out of the 3-pin connector
housing.
Pull the cable assy in the direction of the
arrow. Remove the cord bushing from the
cable assy.
Set the cord bushing apart from the 3-pin
connector housing by 70mm. Then, install
the cable assy to the mirror tube (front)
with the reverse procedures for removal.

: The new cable assy does not contain the
3~-pin connector housing. In replace-
ment of the cable assy, use the 3-pin
housing attached with the old cable
assy or get a new one.
