1) Water and Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
2) Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat.

3) Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4) Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5) Power Cord and Plug
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, conve-
nience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat
the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two
poles; a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet,
refer to an electrician for replacement.
6) Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
7) Fuse
To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommend-
ed fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet.
8) Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
9) Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzol or alcohol.
10) Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING: Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporar-
ily damage your sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be
careful to select a suitable volume.

been well tested and shipped in perfect operating conditions. Carefully unpack the car-
ton and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep pack-
ing material for inspection. Again, please save its carton and all packing materials. If the
unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that the unit is returned in

GO-SOUND Air Series portable PA systems are part of a wider range of SOUNDSATION
Pro Audio product line. These active speakers are compact, light weight and very easy
to use. They are ideal for any live music purpose. Make sure there is enough space
around the unit for proper ventilation and prevent overheating; do not place the unit
on top of hot devices such as radiators or power ampliers. The speaker is connected
to mains through the supplied cable. The product meets the required safety standards.
Blown fuses must be replaced with fuses of the same type and specication.
Make sure that all units must be properly grounded. For your safety, you
should never remove any ground connector from electrical devices or power
cables, or make them inoperative.
Our products are subject to a continuous process of further development. Therefore
modications to the technical features remain subject to change without further notice.
2. GO-SOUND 8-10AIR SERIES
Soundsation GO-SOUND takes another step forward and becomes Go-Sound Air.
While keeping all features of the previous Go-Sound Air series (battery or mains power,
trolley with telescopic handle (only 10” model), VHF wireless microphones, USB/SD-
Card/BT Player, Mic/Line Input, 2-band graphic EQ, etc.), it allows now to control the
multimedia player and the Stereo Line Input via the new “Go-Sound Air” app for both
Android and iOS devices (download it from Google Play® or AppStore®). It has never

been easier to play and control your favorite playlists from your mobile phone: just
connect the speaker and the App via BT to your tablet or phone and it’s done deal.
As for the previous Air Series, the battery lasts 5 hours (Go-Sound 8Air) and about than
12 hours (Go-Sound 10Air) at maximum volume and full charge. Built-in Class-D ampli-
ers deliver 250W (8” model) and 360W (10” model) peak-power (mains powered). The
polypropylene enclosure is strong and lightweight, with metallic grille, 36mm standard
pole mount hole, and acoustic foam to protect the woofer and give a pleasant look.

3. AUDIO CONNECTIONS
You will need several cables for the various connections TO and FROM this speaker. See
the pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only
high quality cables. You can connect balanced equipment to unbalanced inputs. Use
either mono and stereo jack, making sure ring and collar are connected together (or
pins 1 & 3 in the case of XLR connectors).

4. REAR PANEL FUNCTIONS

1) AC Adapter Connection
Connect the device to the supplied power adapter, and then to a mains outlet. Be sure
that mains voltage correspond to the adapter input voltage (within 110-240VAC).
NOTE: Should you need to replace or lose this adapter, be sure that the new
one’s output is +15V DC, 1.5A, (with internal positive).
2) DC 12V Auxiliary Power Input
GO-SOUND 8 and 10Air speakers can be powered by a 12VDC power source (such as

the battery of a car). Be sure to use cables with appropriate conductor section (1.50
mm2 minimum) to avoid overheating. Pay also attention to correct polarity: positive
pole is red; negative is black.
 Beforetakingintooperationforthersttime,theinstallationhastobeap-
proved by an expert.
3) Antenna
It receives the RF signal from the transmitter. To increase the reception capacity, extend
the telescopic antenna as much as possible.
4) Power Switch
Switch upside to turn the speaker on, and switch down to turn it o. Make sure MAS-
TER LEVEL control is down before you turn it on.
5) Battery Charge and Level Status
When you connect the adapter, you can check battery charge (even without switching
the unit on) basing on how many of the four LEDs are on. When charge level is below
25%, the red LED ashes and indicates that you need to re-charge the battery as soon
as possible. For further details battery and charge function, please refer to “6. RE-
CHARGEABLE BATTERY” on page 19.
6) AUX/MP3 Level
This knob controls the overall signal level of AUX and MP3/BT player.
7) VHF Wireless MIC Level
These portable PA system feature a wireless microphone for maximum mobility during
your gigs. This knob adjusts output level of the wireless microphone

9) RF and Power ON LEDs
There two LED indicators. RF LED (yellow) lights up when there is radio signal from the
handheld transmitter. POWER LED (Blue) lights up when the unit is powered on. For
further details on the handheld microphone, see “5.6. VHF WIRELESS MICROPHONE” on
page 18.
10) MIC/LINE Input
It accepts balanced XLR or balanced/unbalanced 1/4” Jack plugs with Mic or Line level
signals. There is no phantom power so, in case of microphones, please be advised the

you can use all kind of dynamic microphones, or use condenser microphones with their
own battery power.
11) Digital Media player
This panel controls all functions related to the multi-player and hosts the BT receiver
as well as USB and SD-Card slots. For further information about how to use it, see “4.1.
Digital Media Player & Go-Sound Air App” on page 10.
12) 2-Band EQ
This EQ optimizes the overall frequency response in order to better adapt the speaker
to the environment in which it is used. It operates on 2-bands (20-100 Hz, 9K-20KHz)
with a gain/reduction of +/- 15dB.
13) Master Level
This controls the overall level of the speaker.
14) Stereo IN/MP3 Selection
This switch toggles between the stereo mini-jack connector (16) and the multimedia
player (11), whose level is adjusted by knob n. 6.
15) Line Out
It is a pair of RCA outlets with unbalanced line-level signals. It contains the mix of all
inputs and all controls. It can be used for recording purposes or simply to connect the
Go-Sound 8-10Air PA system to a mixer o any other audio system.

16) Stereo Input
This stereo mini-jack plug can be used to connect mobile phones, tablets, computers,
etc. Please use knob number 6 to adjust its level.

GO-SOUND 8-10 Air feature the brand new Application for both Android
and iOS devices. Check section “5. GO-SOUND AIR APP” on page 13 to know how to
download from Google Play® or AppStore®.

The reader accepts two BT streaming channels (one for the audio streaming from your
mobile phone or tablet; one for the Go-Sound Air App). I also accepts SD-Cards and
USB devices and plays audio les in MP3 (up to 320kbps) and WAV (44.1kHz - 16bit).

1. LCD display.
2. USB Type-A plug: it reads USB drives in MS-DOS® format (Up to 32GByte).
3. SD-Card slot: it reads SD-Cards in MS-DOS® format (Up to 32GByte).
4. Remote control sensor: allows the speaker to be controlled by the supplied remote
control. For details see “4.4. Remote Control” on page 13.
5. MODE button: by pressing repeatedly, it switches among BT mode, USB/SD mode
and OFF (player and display o).
6. Button (Rewind): Press to go back one track; holding down for one second
allows you to rewind to the beginning of current track.
7. Button (Fast Forward): Press to move to next track; holding down for one
second lets you skip to the end of current track.
8. Button (Repeat): by pressing repeatedly, it allows you to browse through
dierent play modes (valid only when using USB drives and SD-Cards):
ONE Loop playback of current song.
AdO Random playback of all songs in current folder.
All Loop playback of all songs in all folders in ascending order.
9. Button (Play / Pause): plays audio of the selected device.

When you insert a USB drive into the socket n.2, the player says “USB Drive Mode”,
briey shows USb on the display and the icon lits as long as the drive is inserted
into the socket. Then, it reads the content, plays the rst track in ascending order in All
mode and the display briey shows its position 00 01. During playback you can read the
time code in minutes and seconds of the song.

When you insert a SD-Card into the port n.3, the player says “SD Card Mode”, briey
shows Sd on the display and the icon lits as long as the card is inserted into the
socket. Like the USB mode, the player reads the content of the SD-Card, plays the rst
track in ascending order in All mode and the display briey shows its position 00 01.
During playback you can read the time code in minutes and seconds of the song.
NOTE: In the case of use of a USB drive and an SD-Card simultaneously, the
reader will play music from last device connected.

When no USB drive or SD-Card is inserted, the player automatically switches to BT
mode and says “BT Mode”. The display shows blUE with icon and both ash, indicat-
ing that there is no paired device. To play music from your BT device you must rst pair
it.
1) Pairing
If a USB Drive or an SD-Card are inserted, you need to press MODE key until blUE
appears on the display. If there are no USB or SD-Card, the player is already in BT mode
and the display ashes.

At this point turn on the BT mode on your smartphone or tablet. A device called GO
SOUND will be shown among the various available devices. Select it and start the pair-
ing process. Once done, the player says “BT Connected”, and then you can play your
music on Go-Sound 8/10Air.
NOTE: GO-SOUND Air player acts on your BT device; so that, for example, by
pressing the button , you play / pause the song; pressing , you skip
to the next track, and so on. However, (Repeat), is deliberately disabled

and can be managed only by the BT device.

Go-Sound 8/10Air MP3 player comes with a remote control to operate within 5m range
(without obstacles). See the list of functions below.
Turns the MP3 player on/o.
Stops the song.
It mutes playback. When active, the song continues
to play.
It allows you to enter in the individual menus (BT,
USB, SD and AUX.
By repeatedly pressing, it switches among three play
modes (ONE, AdO, All).
By repeatedly pressing, it switches among dierent
equalization curves.
They skip to the next or previous song.
Play or pause the rst song in the list or the last
played track. If pressed again, it resumes playback
from the same point.
Increase or decrease the volume.
0 - 9 They recall the song corresponding to the same
position in the list.
5. GO-SOUND AIR APP
The Digital Media Player of Go-Sound 8/10Air PA systems can be controlled by
, the new free app by Soundsation for iOS and Android devices.

This application works with a Dual-BT connection: the rst manages the stereo audio
streaming between your device and the Go-Sound 8/10Air PA system; the second al-
lows your speaker’s multimedia player to be controlled by app. Follow the
steps below to connect it:

1. Be sure that your Go-Sound speaker is in
BT mode by pressing MODE button until
blUE appears on the display. If there are
no USB or SD-Card, the player is already
in BT mode and the display ashes.
2. Turn on the BT mode on your smart-
phone or tablet (check your device’s user
guide for this operation).You will see
2 devices among the various available
called GO SOUND and GO SOUND APP.
The rst is the audio streming connec-
tion; the second is the App control. You
have to pair GO SOUND BT device. Once
done, the player says “BT Connected”,
and the display stops blinking. Then,
close your mobile’s settings page.
Now you have to pair the second BT chan-
nel to control the media player on the
speaker.
3. Open app by clicking on
icon. You will then enter the home page.
Press BT button to enter the BT pairing
page; then press SEARCH button to see
all available Go-Sound Air speakers.

4. Choose the available speaker connection
(GO SOUND APP); it will quickly move
to the orange bar and will automatically
come back to the hoe page or the source
page used before the pairing (MUSIC,
USB or SD-Card).

EQ pages oers a 8-Band graphic EQ with 6
presets (Normal, Jazz, Country, Rock, Pop,
Classic) and one programmable User curve.
You have 8 sliders with ±12dB range on 35Hz,
62Hz, 124Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 8kHz,
16kHz.
Once adjusted your frequencies, press SAVE
button to memorize the curve. You can then
recall your User preset by pressing USER icon.
Press RESET to cancel your current user pre-
set and program it again.

5.6. VHF WIRELESS MICROPHONE
These portable PA systems feature a handheld wireless microphones. Below there are
all details.

1) Grill
It protects the microphone capsule. Do not remove this cap to
prevent damage to internal components.
2) Led
This LED lights up briey when you turn on the microphone.
Under normal operating conditions (switch 2 in MUTE or ON
position) and batteries in normal conditions, this LED does not
light. It ashes when batteries charge level is low and they must
be replaced.
3) On/OffSwitch
It has 3 positions: when it’s all down, transmitter is OFF. When it
is in central position (MUTE), the transmitter is on but audio is
disabled; nally, when it’s all up (ON), the transmitter is working
and the audio is active
NOTE: Standby central position allows the unit to trans-

interference in the receiver due to the absence of a
radio transmitting signal. It is, therefore, suggested
to ALWAYS use this MUTE position when you tempo-
rarily don’t sing or play but the wireless microphone
is connected to an audio system (e.g. during a pause
in a gig). You can move the switch to OFF position (all
down) only when you are sure that the sound system
volume is low.
4) Battery Slot
Batteries are housed inside the transmitter. Use 2x 1.5V AA type
batteries (not included), paying attention to their polarity.

6. RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
These PA systems work with both AC or battery power. They feature 11.1V-2200mAH
(Go-Sound 8Air) and 12V - 4500mAH (Go-Sound 10Air) lead rechargeable batteries,
housed inside the unit and accessible through the rear panel unit. Please see below
how to open the speaker and access the battery.
Note: If you power the unit with the external cable for an extended period,
you should remove the battery for longer life.

5) Go-Sound 10Air
fUnscrew the 4 screws shown in the following picture and remove the plastic cover.
fPull out the battery and disconnect the two wires paying attention to colors (red
for positive, black for negative).
fReplace the battery with a similar both in size and electrical characteristics
(12V-4500mAH Lead Battery, model 6FM4.5). See size details in “7. SPECIFICA-
TIONS” on page 23.
fClose the cover with the screws.
6) Go-Sound 8Air
fUnscrew the 8 screws shown in the following picture and remove the whole rear
panel cover. Pay attention to internal wiring.
fPull out the battery and disconnect the two wires paying attention to colors (red
for positive, black for negative).
fReplace the battery with a similar both in size and electrical characteristics
(11.1V-2200mAH Lithium Battery, model HKD-22). See size details in “7. SPECIFICA-
TIONS” on page 23.
fClose the cover with the screws.

The battery, when fully charged has a duration of about 5 hours (Go-Sound 8Air) and
up to 12 hours (Go-Sound 10Air) of normal use.

CHARGE LOW
The full charge cycle lasts about 2 hours for Go-Sound 8Air, and 5 hours for Go-Sound
10Air. For the rst charge cycle, however, it would be better that it lasted more than 3
times normal charge cycle (that is 6 hours for the 8”; 15 hours for the 10” model). This
considerably lengthens battery life.
fConnect the unit to a power outlet through the supplied power adapter. It is not
necessary to turn on the unit.
fThe CHARGE LED (yellow) lit and the four LEDs (1 red; 3 Green) start lighting as the
level of charge increases from the rst LED (25%) to the maximum level (100%).
fAfter a charging time for a full charge, the 3 green LEDs are lit and then you can
