tung informiert Sie über den richtigen und sicheren Einsatz. Fragen Sie Ihren

1 Funktionsbeschreibung
NoCut wird bestimmungsgemäß zum Schutz textiler Anschlagmittel vor scharfen Kanten
beim Heben von Lasten durch den unterwiesenen Anschläger eingesetzt und ist in drei
Bauformen verfügbar:
NoCut sleeve:
Gewebter Schutzschlauch zum Aufziehen auf das Anschlagmittel mit beidseitig gleich
hohem Schnittschutzvermögen.
NoCut pad:
Schnittschutzplatte zum Befestigen am Anschlagmittel mit einseitiger Schnittschutzwir-
kung.
NoCut bumper:
NoCut bumper besteht aus einem NoCut sleeve mit innenliegenden Gurtbandlagen, die
den Radius an den Umlenk- und Anschlagpunkten der Last noch weiter vergrößern.
NoCut ist an drei eingewebten blauen Kennfäden zu erkennen. Jede Veränderung an
NoCut ist verboten. Die Produkte der NoCut-Baureihe werden aus Hochleistungsfasern
gewebt.
2 Sicherheitshinweise und Handhabung
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Anschlagen von Lasten nur durch unterwiesene Anschläger
erfolgt. Nutzen Sie NoCut ausschließlich in Kombination mit SpanSet-Anschlagmitteln
oder Anschlagmitteln gleicher Spezifikation.
- Es ist verboten, NoCut für andere als die bestimmungsgemäße Anwendung einzu-
setzen. Vermeiden Sie grundsätzlich Belastungen, die über die mit der Funktion von
NoCut verbundene Belastung hinausgehen.

- Die Verwendung von NoCut in Verbindung mit Chemikalien ist nur nach Abstimmung
mit dem Hersteller erlaubt. Notwendige Angaben hierzu sind: Chemikalie, Konzentra-
tion, Temperatur, Verweildauer.
- Stellen Sie vor der Nutzung sicher, dass das Anschlagmittel unbeschädigt ist und
NoCut für die Anwendung richtig platziert ist.
- 16 Nutzen Sie NoCut nicht außerhalb eines Temperaturbereiches von - 40°C bis
+ 60°C.
- Beachten Sie beim Einsatz von NoCut die Regeln der Berufsgenossenschaften, DGUV
Regel 100-500 - Betreiben von Arbeitsmitteln (bisher BGR 500) und bewahren Sie die
NoCut-Betriebsanleitung auf.
3 Betrieb von NoCut®
3.1 Montage von NoCut®am Anschlagmittel
Beachten Sie in diesem Zusammenhang auch 3.3 „Auswahl der passenden Größe“ und
3.4 „Anordnung an der Last“. Sollte das Anschlagmittel bereits werksseitig unverlierbar
mit NoCut verbunden sein, so entfällt die Notwendigkeit zur Montage.
10a So montieren Sie NoCut®sleeve
I. Führen Sie das Anschlagmittel in die Schlauchöffnungen ein.
II. Ziehen Sie den Schutzschlauch soweit über das Anschlagmittel, bis seine Mitte das
Anschlagmittel vor der späteren scharfkantigen Belastung schützt.
Unter Umständen kann das Aufziehen von langen NoCut sleeve Schutzschläu-
chen auf das Anschlagmittel schwergängig sein! Führen Sie in einem solchen
Fall zunächst ein dünnes Band oder Seil durch den Schutzschlauch. Befestigen Sie das
Ende des Bandes/Seiles am entsprechenden Anschlagmittel 10b. Jetzt können Sie mit
Hilfe des Bandes/Seiles das Anschlagmittel durch den Schutzschlauch ziehen. Bitte
beachten Sie hierzu auch 3.3 Auswahl der passenden Größe.
Die zugelassene Nutzlänge für NoCut sleeve bei Rundschlingen über beide
Stränge darf maximal 1 Meter betragen. Siehe Umschlag innen, Abb. 10a
und 10b.
11 Die scharfkantige Last kann nun angeschlagen werden.
12 So montieren Sie NoCut®pad
Beim Anschlagen mit Rundschlingen ist vorab zu entscheiden, ob ein oder beide Stränge

der Rundschlinge geschützt werden. Bitte auch 3.4 Anordnung der Last berücksichtigen.
Verschlusssysteme:
I. Rahmenschnalle: Gurtband durch Rahmenschnalle führen, stramm ziehen und mit
Klettband fixieren, Bild 12-I.
II. Steckschnallen: Steckschnallen schließen und an den Bandenden stramm ziehen, Bild
12-II.
III. Klettverschluss: Die kürzere Seite des Klettverschlusses eng auf das Anschlagmittel
legen und mit der längeren Seite fest verschließen, Bild 12-III.
13 Das NoCut pad ist jetzt fixiert und kann an die scharfkantige Last angeschlagen
werden.
Mit zunehmender Länge sollten NoCut pads mit zusätzlichen Fixierschlaufen
gegen Verdrehen gesichert werden. Nur so ist das Anschlagmittel gegen die
schneidende Wirkung der scharfen Kante geschützt. Die Fixierschlaufen dürfen nicht an
der scharfen Kante anliegen, sollten aber in unmittelbarer Nähe der Kante positioniert
werden. Deshalb sind ab einer Bestelllänge von 0,75 m Zusatzschlaufen mit den
entsprechenden Fixierhilfen vernäht. Die Fixierhilfen dienen der Stabilisierung des
NoCut pad und verhindern ein Verrutschen des Anschlagmittels.
17 Gefahr! Die richtige Position des NoCut bumpers muss vor dem Hebevor-
gang kontrolliert werden! Die Enden des NoCut bumpers müssen gleichmäßig
auf beiden Seiten mindestens 50 mm über die Breite des Anschlagmittels hinausragen!
3.2 Kantenradius
Kantenradien ≥ 1 mm: Liegen Kantenradien ab 1 mm vor, können Sie NoCut
entsprechend dieser Betriebsanleitung einsetzen 18 .
Kantenradien < 1 mm: Bei Kantenradien < 1 mm muss der Hebevorgang mit besonderer
Sorgfalt geplant und durchgeführt werden, damit das Anschlagmittel unbeschädigt
bleibt. Kontaktieren Sie in diesem Fall immer vor dem Einsatz des Produktes Ihren
Händler oder SpanSet zwecks technischer Unterstützung.
Bitte beachten Sie die auf der ausklappbaren Rückseite vorhandene Tabelle 19 .

Die mit Haken gekennzeichneten Werte in der Tabelle 19 beziehen sich auf den
kleinsten Radius, an dem das im Tabellenkopf genannte Produkt der NoCut
Baureihe noch eingesetzt werden darf. Größere Kantenradien werden durch die
jeweilige Kennzeichnung mit eingeschlossen.
Nutzen Sie NoCut niemals an Kanten, an denen scharfe Grate hervorstehen
oder an Kanten, die ungleichmäßig geformt sind (z.B. Stufen, Auskerbungen
und Absplitterungen).
3.3 Auswahl der passenden Größe
Wählen Sie die Größe von NoCut passend für Ihr Anschlagmittel aus. Das Anschlag-
mittel darf in seinem Querschnitt nicht eingeschnürt werden. Berücksichtigen Sie auch,
dass sich die Auflagenbreite der Rundschlinge unter Last vergrößert! Bei der Anordnung
von NoCut über beide Stränge einer Rundschlinge muss gewährleistet sein, dass beide
Stränge nebeneinander Platz finden, sich nicht überkreuzen und nicht aufeinander liegen
14 .
3.4 Anordnung an der Last
Legen Sie NoCut sleeve nicht verdreht an die Last an. Bei der Verwendung von NoCut
pad muss das Anschlagmittel in seiner vollen Breite unterlegt sein. Es ist darauf zu ach-
ten, dass NoCut pad am Anschlagmittel so fixiert wird, dass die scharfe Kante während
des kompletten Hebevorganges abgedeckt wird. Achten Sie beim Einsatz von NoCut
pads in Kombination mit Rundschlingen unbedingt darauf, dass das einzelne NoCut pad
bei ausreichendem Überstand nur zum Schutz von einem Einzelstrang geeignet ist.
Das Gleiten von NoCut an der scharfen Kante kann dabei zum Verlust der
Schutzwirkung führen. Lastabstürze mit der Gefahr schwerer Personen- bzw.
Materialschäden drohen.
Einsatz von NoCut®bumper
NoCut bumper wird ohne Fixierungshilfen geliefert. NoCut bumper ist so zwischen
Anschlagmittel und der Last zu platzieren, dass es sich beim Anheben fixiert.
3.5 Wenden von scharfkantigen Lasten
Beim Wenden und Aufrichten von Coils sind Schutzschläuche unverzichtbar. Das
Hebeband wird in den Kranhaken eingehängt und mit dem Schutzschlauch an die Last

angelegt 15 . Beim Anheben muss sich das Hebeband frei im Schutzschlauch bewegen,
während dieser fest an der Last anliegt.
Unsere Tipps für sicheres Wenden:
- Heben und Wenden nur in Kombination mit Hebeband und NoCut sleeve
- Das Hebeband liegt genau auf „12 Uhr“ im Auge des Coils.
- Es dürfen nur einzelne, unverpackte und sauber gewickelte Coils gewendet werden.
- Es muss eine rutschfeste Unterlage, wie die secutex-Wendematte und Abstandshal-
ter (z.B. Kanthölzer) verwendet werden.
- Ein Hineinrollen des Coils oder Verrutschen quer zum Hebeband muss verhindert
werden.
- Das schräge „Herausziehen“ eines Coils ist zu vermeiden.
15 Wenden um 90°
Schritt 1: Mindestlänge LSchutzschlauch

Der Wendevorgang scharfkantiger Lasten darf nur mit SpanSet Hebebändern
ausgeführt werden.
Beim Heben und Wenden von Coils darf ausschließlich NoCut sleeve
verwendet werden.

4 Überprüfung, Pflege, Reparatur und Außerbetriebnahme
NoCut muss vor jedem Einsatz auf augenfällige Mängel und Verunreinigungen überprüft
werden. Stellen Sie Mängel fest, die die Sicherheit beeinträchtigen, dürfen Sie NoCut
nicht mehr verwenden. NoCut darf nicht mehr verwendet werden, wenn Sie einen der
folgenden Mängel feststellen:
- Spuren von Hitzeeinwirkung
- Schäden durch Einwirkung aggressiver Stoffe wie z.B. Säuren oder Laugen
- Verunreinigungen durch aushärtende Stoffe wie Lacke, Klebstoffe etc.
- Ganz oder teilweise durchtrennte Garne
- Einschnitte/Löcher/Quetschstellen
- Fadenverschiebungen im Gewebe/ungleichmäßig dichtes Gewebe
- Großflächige Verhärtungen, die zum Verlust der Flexibilität führen
- Ungleichmäßig breites Gewebe
- NoCut pad: defekte Nähte/in ihrer Funktion beeinträchtigte Befestigungselemente
- NoCut pad / NoCut bumper: Sichtbarkeit des farbigen Innenbandes bei Beschädigung
des Gewebes
Reparaturen darf nur der Hersteller oder eine von ihm beauftragte Person durchführen.
Reparaturen beschränken sich bei NoCut auf die Befestigungselemente des NoCut pad.
Ist das schnitthemmende Gewebe von NoCut beschädigt, ist eine Reparatur nicht mög-
lich. NoCut darf dann nicht mehr verwendet werden. NoCut kann im Hausmüll entsorgt
werden, soweit das Gewebe nicht durch z.B. Öle, Betriebsstoffe verunreinigt ist. Ist das
Gewebe durch Chemikalien verunreinigt, ist NoCut als Sondermüll zu entsorgen.
5 Lagerung und Reinigung
Bewahren Sie NoCut kühl, trocken, gut belüftet und frei von chemischen Einflüssen
auf. NoCut nur an der Luft trocknen. Zur Beschleunigung der Trocknung nicht direkt
erwärmen, sondern ggf. in einem gut belüfteten Raum bei Zimmertemperatur trocknen.
Entfernen Sie anhaftende Fremdkörper wie z.B. Metallspäne, Sand etc. NoCut dazu ggf.
mit Wasser spülen.

6 Wissenswertes und Schulung
NoCut wird insbesondere zum Schutz von Rundschlingen nach DIN EN 1492-2 und Hebe-
bändern nach DIN EN 1492-1 gegen scharfkantige Lasten eingesetzt. Der Herstellungs-
prozess von NoCut sleeve und NoCut pad ist DIN EN ISO 9001 zertifiziert. Beachten Sie
die Betriebssicherheitsverordnung sowie die lokalen Arbeitsschutzvorschriften für den
Einsatz von textilen Anschlagmitteln, wie z.B. die Regeln der Berufsgenossenschaften
in Deutschland. Weitere Informationen und die Bezugsquellen der Regelwerke erhalten
Sie bei Ihrem SpanSet-Fachhändler oder direkt bei SpanSet. NoCut wird aus Hochleis-
tungsfasern UHMPE gewebt.

1 Description of function
NoCut has been designed to protect textile lifting equipment from sharp edges when
hoisting loads using riggers (authorised personnel) and is available in two designs:
NoCut sleeve:
NoCut sleeve (a woven protective sleeve) to place around lifting equipment with a need
for cut protection on both sides.
NoCut pad:
NoCut pad (cut protection discs) to affix to lifting equipment with a need for cut protec-
tion on one side only.
NoCut bumper:
NoCut bumper consists of a NoCut sleeve with internal strap layers that further
increase the radius at the diversion and attachment points of the load.
NoCut can be identified by the three blue marker yarns woven into the material. NoCut
must not be modified in any way. Products from the NoCut range are woven from
high-performance fibres.
2 Safety information and handling
Ensure that loads are only hoisted by people trained to do so (authorised personnel).
NoCut should only be used in conjunction with SpanSet lifting equipment or lifting
equipment with identical specifications.
- NoCut must not be used for purposes other than those specified. All loads which
exceed the load-bearing function of NoCut must be expressly avoided.

- NoCut may only be used in conjunction with chemicals in cases where express
permission has been granted by the manufacturer. Key information includes: chemi-
cals, concentration, temperature and exposure time.
- Before use, ensure that the lifting equipment is not damaged in any way, and that
NoCut is placed correctly for its intended use.
- 16 Do not use NoCut in temperatures below - 40°C and above + 60°C.
- When using NoCut, adhere to the professional association’s regulations (German
Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) regulation 100-500) - Operating Working Equip-
ment (so far: BGR 500), and keep the NoCut Operation Manual.
3 Operating NoCut®
3.1 Attaching NoCut®to the lifting equipment
3.3 “Selecting the correct size” and 3.4 “Aligning the load” should also be adhered to
here. If NoCut has already been affixed to the lifting accessory in the factory, then there
is no need to attach it.

I. Insert the lifting accessory into one of the sleeve openings.
II. Pull the protective sleeve over the lifting accessory until the middle of NoCut protects
the lifting accessory from sharp-edged loads to be applied later.
Applying long NoCut sleeve protective sleeves to the lifting accessory can
potentially be difficult! In such a case, run a small strap or rope through the
protective sleeve first. Attach the end of the strap/rope to the according lifting
accessory 10b. Now, you can pull the lifting accessory through the protective sleeve by
way of the strap/rope. Please also observe 3.3 Selection of appropriate size.
The permitted usable length of the NoCut sleeve over both strands of a
roundsling may amount to 1 metre maximum. See the envelope inside,
Fig. 11a and 11b.
11 The sharp-edged load can now be hoisted.
12 How to assemble NoCut®pad
When using round slings, it must be decided in advance whether one or both round
sling cables need to be protected. Please also refer to 3.4 Aligning the load.

Interlocking systems:
I. Rectangular buckle: Guide the strap through the rectangular buckle, pull tight, and
affix with the Velcro tape, as in picture 12-I.
II. Clip buckles: Close clip buckles and pull tight on strap ends, as in picture 12-II .
III. Velcro fastener: Put the shorter side of the Velcro fastener tightly on the lifting
accessory and firmly close with the longer side, as in picture 12-III.
13 The NoCut pad is now fastened and can be hoisted on the sharp-edged load.
In the case of increasing lengths, NoCut pads should also be secured with
additional fixing loops to prevent rotation. This is the only way to guarantee
that the lifting accessory is protected from the cutting effect of the sharp edge. The
fixing loops must not come into contact with the sharp edge, but should be positioned in
the direct vicinity of the edge. Therefore, additional loops are sewn up with according
fixing aids for orders longer than 0.75m. Fixing aids help stabilise the NoCut pad and
keep the lifting accessory from shifting.
17 Danger! The correct position of the NoCut bumper has to be checked before
the lifting process! The ends of the NoCut bumper have to extend beyond the
width of the lifting accessory evenly by at least 50 mm on both sides!
3.2 Edge radius
Edge radii ≥ 1 mm: If there are edge radii of above 1 mm, NoCut can be used in line
with this Operation Manual 18 .
Edge radii < 1 mm: In the case of edge radii < 1 mm, the hoisting procedure must
be planned and executed with great care to ensure that the lifting equipment is not
damaged. Always contact your distributor or SpanSet in such cases for technical
support before using the product.
Please consider table 19 present on the fold-out back page.
The values labelled with check marks in the table 19 refer to the smallest
radius for which the product from the NoCut range named in the head of the
table can be used. Larger edge radii are included in the respective labelling.

Never use NoCut on edges with sharp ridges or on edges that are uneven
(e.g. perforations, steps, notches and splinters).
3.3 Selecting the correct size
Choose the correct size of NoCut for your lifting equipment. The cross-section of the
lifting accessory must not be constricted. Also note that the width of the round sling
will increase when subjected to loads! When affixing NoCut over both the cables of a
round sling, it must be ensured that there is enough space for both cables, so that they
do not cross over or overlap 14 .
3.4 Aligning the load
Do not apply NoCut to the load if it is twisted. When using NoCut pad, the lifting
accessory has to be underlaid in its entire width. It is important to fix NoCut pad to the
lifting accessory in such a manner that the sharp edge is covered throughout the entire
lifting process. When using NoCut pads in combination with roundslings, make sure
that the individual NoCut pad has sufficient overhang to be suitable for protecting only
one single strand.
Sliding the NoCut over sharp edges can thereby lead to a loss in the protective
function. Falling loads pose a serious danger to people and materials.
Using NoCut®bumper
NoCut bumper is delivered without fixing aids. NoCut bumper is to be placed between
listing accessory and the load in such a manner that it fastens when lifted.
3.5 Rotating sharp-edged loads
When turning and raising coils, protective sleeves cannot be done without. The lifting
belt is hung into the crate hooks and lay onto the load with the protective sleeve 15 .
When lifting, the lifting belt must move freely in the protective tubing while this firmly
lays against the load.
Our tips for safe rotation:
- Rotate and lift only in combination with lifting belt and NoCut sleeve
- The lifting belt is located exactly at 12 o’clock in the eye of the coil.
- Only individual, unpacked and clean wound coils may be used.

- A non-slip underlay, such as the secutex rotation mat, and spacers
(e.g. square timbers) have to be used.
- Rolling in the coal or slippage in a transverse direction to the lifting belt must be
prevented.
- Diagonally “pulling out” a coil is to be avoided.

4 Inspections, maintenance, repairs and decommissioning
NoCut must be inspected for visible defects and contaminants prior to every use. If a
defect is identified that may compromise safety, NoCut must not be used again. NoCut
must not be used if one of the following defects is identified:

- Signs of heat impact
- Damage caused by aggressive substances such as acids and alkalis
- Contaminants from setting substances such as paint, adhesives etc.
- Partially or fully split yarns
- Cuts / holes / pinch points
- Fibre movement in the fabric / uneven fabric thickness
- Large-area hardening that causes a loss of flexibility.
- Uneven fabric width
- NoCut pad: Defect seams / fixing elements with limited function
- NoCut pad / NCut bumper: Large-area hardening that causes a loss of flexibility.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or someone they have commis-
sioned. For NoCut, repairs are limited to the fixing elements of the NoCut pad. If the
cut-proof fabric on NoCut is damaged a repair is not possible. In this case, NoCut may
no longer be used. NoCut can be disposed of as domestic rubbish, insofar as the fabric
has not been contaminated with oils, operating materials etc. If the fabric has been
contaminated with chemicals, NoCut must be disposed of as special waste.
5 Storage and cleaning
Store NoCut in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, away from chemical influences.
NoCut should only be air-dried. Do not heat directly to accelerate drying; instead dry in
a warm, well-ventilated room at room temperature. Remove foreign bodies stuck to the
fabric of NoCut, e.g. metal cuttings, sand etc., or rinse with water if necessary.
6 Useful information and training
NoCut is mainly used for the protection of round slings in line with DIN EN 1492-2 and
lifting straps in line with DIN EN 1492-1 from sharp-edged loads. The manufacturing
process for the NoCut sleeve and NoCut pad is certified in line with DIN EN ISO 9001.
When using textile lifting equipment, consult the local occupational health and safety
regulations as well as the regulations of the professional associations in Germany and
the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health. Further information and sources for
the regulations can be requested from your SpanSet retailer or directly from SpanSet.

1 Description du fonctionnement
NoCut est destiné à protéger les dispositifs d’arrimage en textile contre les arêtes
coupantes lors du levage de charges par l’opérateur instruit et existe en trois versions :
NoCut sleeve :
Gaine de protection tissée à glisser sur le dispositif d’arrimage avec une protection
anticoupure égale des deux côtés.
NoCut pad :
Plaque de protection anticoupure à fixer au dispositif d’arrimage avec une protection
anticoupure d’un seul côté.
NoCut bumper :
NoCut bumper est composé d’une gaine NoCut sleeve avec des couches de sangles
intérieures qui augmentent encore le rayon sur les points de déviation et de fixation de
la charge.
NoCut se reconnaît aux trois fils bleus caractéristiques intégrés dans le tissage. Toute
modification de NoCut est interdite. Les produits de la série NoCut sont tissés à partir
de fibres haute performance.
2 Consignes de sécurité et utilisation
Veillez à ce que l’arrimage des charges soit uniquement effectué par des opérateurs
qualifiés.
Utilisez uniquement NoCut en combinaison avec des dispositifs d’arrimage SpanSet ou
des dispositifs d’arrimage ayant les mêmes spécifications.
- Il est interdit d’utiliser NoCut à d’autres fins que l’utilisation conforme. Évitez tou-
jours les sollicitations dépassant les sollicitations liées à la fonction de NoCut.
