1. Unpack your system
Ve ify all accesso ies a e included in you box.
2. Install your system
Place you amplifie at a safe and p ope location. An integ ated mounting b acket allows mounting
to a wall o su face, but we suggest making su e you complete all installation steps befo e pe manently
mounting.
3. Connect your system
Speaker Wiring Diagrams (Note that the AS1 can handle speakers from 4 to 16 Ohms impedance)
Speaker Wire Connection
P ope ly wi e and connect the phoenix speake te minals on the amplifie with the inputs on you
speake , noting positive and negative te minals match with the positive and negative te minals on you
speake .
Po er connection
Powe the amplifie with the powe adapto included in the accesso ies. It is ecommended to connect
the adapte into the amplifie fi st, and then plug the AC plug into you wall o othe outlet.
4. Download the App
Download the a-live application f om the App Sto e fo iOS and Google Play fo And oid.

5. Con igure
Option 1-Configuration via app
-Connect you Mobile Device to you Wifi Netwo k
-Open the application> p ess Add Device(+)>choose settings> choose the a-live_xxxx hotspot> afte
connecting, p ess the ‘tu n back’ on you WLAN settings> the app will jump to the configu ation
step>choose the 2.4G netwo k and ente the passwo d>wait fo the device to be configu ed.

Option 2- Configuration via Web console
-1. Powe the device.
-2. Choose the hotspot(a-live_xxxx) in the WiFi settings on you cell phone o compute and connect.
-3. Open you b owse and ente 10.10.10.254 in the add ess ba .
-4. Go fo WiFi>choose you 2.4G oute >ente the passwo d> click connect> wait fo the device to be
configu ed.
Option 3-Connection via LAN
-Powe the device
-Plug in the wi ed cable to the RJ45 Ethe net, the device will show on the app in about 10 seconds.

While on the view fo the sou ce, swipe ight to eveal the available sou ces. F om the e, you can select what sou ce
you want to hea next, o swipe left to etu n to the cu ently playing sou ce.
You also have the ability to combine
zones so that each zone is playing
the same sou ce at the same time.
Just p ess you finge on the zone
you want to play what anothe zone
is playing until it indicates it is
eady to me ge. Then, d ag it on
top of the maste zone and elease.

By selecting “+ Add Mo e Se vices,” you can see the list of what se vices
a e available fo you to add fo you listening pleasu e. This list will be
updated ove time as we continually wo k to b ing new se vices to a-live.

Th ough device settings you can set an ala m clock o sleep time , get technical info mation on you
speake , o ename it.
Firmware update
a-live will notify you in you app when the e is a new fi mwa e ve sion available. It’s ecommended to
update fi mwa e wheneve available as this might not only co ect bugs o imp ove secu ity, but could also
add new featu es o se vices.

A: 12 ooms is the maximum, while 8 zones a e ecommended.

A: Once the system is connected to you WiFi oute , you can st eam you music anywhe e the e is a WiFi
signal.
Q: Can it play high esolution music?
A: Yes. Ou devices can play APE and FLAC within the no mal bit ate ange. They also suppo t decoding
24bit/192khz music files.
Q: How many languages do you suppo t?
A: Ou devices will auto-detect you mobile device language and change automatically. Cu ently, we
suppo t English, F ench, Ge man, Spanish, Chinese, Po tuguese, Ko ean and Japanese and mo e on the
way.
Q: What online music se vices do you suppo t?
A: Spotify, Tidal, iHea tRadio, Tunein, Napste , and mo e, with mo e pending.
Q: Can I play local music?
A: Yes. You can play music f om “MY MUSIC” on the application f om local sto age devices such as mobile
device sto age, USB thumb d ives, po table ha d disk and NAS.
Q: Can a-live wo k with Windows devices?
A: The Windows application is not available at the moment, but on the Windows PC, use s can use iTunes,
Fooba 2000 and Spotify connect as a line input.
