1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew and remove the battery door.
2. Install twoAA 1.5 Volt alkaline batteries (not included) in the battery
compartment. Be careful to align the positive (+) and negative (-) polarities
with the corresponding markings inside the battery compartment.
3. Reinstall the battery door and tighten the screw.
IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION
•Battery installation should be performed by
an adult.
•Use only batteries recommended on the package
and in the instruction manual.
•Be careful to install the batteries with the correct
polarity, as indicated.
• Do not mix old and newbatteries.
•Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable, or
different types of batteries.
•Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be
recharged.
•Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from
the toybefore being charged (if removable).
•Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged
under adult supervision (if removable).
•Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as
recommended are to be used.
•The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
•Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the
toy, as they will adversely affect the performance.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

BEFORE YOU PLAY
1. Place the mat on a flat surface.
2. With a dry cloth, wipe the mat of any debris.
3. NOTE: For best results, avoid play areas with high humidity and
ensure mat surface is not overly moist. Since the technology is
moisture-sensitive, these factors can affect performance.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.T
urn Diego’s 4x4 over, find the
ON/OFF switch and push it to the
“ON” position.
2. Using the water pen, draw a path
on the play mat for the 4x4 to
follow. Place the 4x4 on the track
you have created. The 4x4 will
magically follow the track you
have created.
3. The 4x4 will “U-turn” at the end of
the track image automatically and
once the 4x4 locates another
track, it will continue on its way.

When finished playing,
slide the water pen
into the elastic storage
loop on the edge of
the play mat.
1. T
o avoid mold and/or damage to product performance, completely
dry mat, 4x4 and accessories after use. Store mat and accessories
in a dry area.
2. Mat is surface washable only. If cleaning is required, the mat should
only be washed with water and gently dabbed with a sponge.
3. Remember to turn “OFF” the switch on the rear of 4x4 after playing.
4. Remove batteries in-between play periods.

PLAY INSTRUCTIONS
•For best results, make sure drawn lines are
clear and solid. The curves and turns drawn
should have a radius larger than 3”.
•When you operate the 4x4 and place it on a
dry surface, it will move straight, and then turn
right a few times, and then turn left to find
the drawn path within 20 seconds. If the train
cannot find a path within 20 seconds, it will
stop and stand by for 2 minutes. Within these
2 minutes, the train will restart immediately if
you place it on a wet path.

Water Pen Instructions
1. Unscrew tip of pen.
2. Add water to pen handle reservoir.
To avoid leakage, do not overfill.
3. Screw pen tip back on.
4. Using the water pen, draw and doodle
on the mat. For best results, make
sure the lines are clear and solid.

Tips
If the 4x4 is unused while the power
is “ON” for more than 2 minutes, it will
go into a sleep mode. To continue
playing, turn the power “OFF” and
then switch “ON” again.

Engine will not start. 1. Power switch is off. Turn on.

batteries are properly aligned.
3. Batteries are drained. Charge batteries and/or install new batteries.
