Installation and Operating Instructions
WARNING: Do not turn prop on until fully assembled.
Stay clear of the prop while operating.
Keep all plastic and wire parts away from children.

2. Slide the (H) Shoes down over the assembled (B) Support Poles and let them rest
on the (A) Base as shown in Figure 2. Ensure that the (H) Shoes are positioned over
the metal protrusions on the (A) Base.
4. Slide the (O) Costume down over
the assembly as shown in Figure 4.
5. Attach the (C) Torso Frame to the (B) Support Poles using the quick connect push
buttons and pre-drilled holes. Now plug the adapter into the Function Control Box as
well as any other optional accessories as shown in Figure 5.
3. Slide the (I) Foam Tubes over the
(B) Support Poles as shown in Figure
3.

1. Assemble the (B) Support Poles to
the (A) Base
using the quick connect
push buttons and
pre-drilled holes as
shown in Figure 1.

7. Bring the (E) Torso Hoop down over
the top of the (C) Torso Frame and set
the pegs of the (E) Torso Hoop into the
housings available at the bottom of the
(C) Torso Frame as shown in Figure 7.
8. Place the prongs of the (F) Shoulder
Frame into the housings available at
the top of the (C) Torso Frame as
shown in Figure 8.

6. Bring the (D) Hip Hoop down over
the top of the (C) Torso Frame and set
the pegs of the (D) Hip Hoop into the
housings available at the bottom of the
(C) Torso Frame as shown in Figure 6.

9. Slide the (J) Right Arm up the right sleeve of the (O) Costume. Then fit the forked hook of
the (J) Right Arm into the housing available at the right side of the (C) Torso Frame as
shown in Figure 9.

10. Slide the forked hook of the (L) Buzz
Saw into the housing available at the end
of the (J) Right Arm as shown in Figure
10.
11. Slide the cable from the (L) Buzz Saw
up the right sleeve of the (O) Costume
and then stretch the costume sleeve over
the end of the (L) Buzz Saw as shown in
Figure 11.

12. Slide the (K) Left Arm up the left
sleeve of the (O) Costume. Then slide the
forked hook available on the (K) Left Arm
into the housing available on the left side
of the (C) Torso Frame as shown in
Figure 12.

13. Slide the forked hook of the (M)
Hammer into the housing available at the
end of the (K) Left Arm and then stretch
the costume sleeve over the end of the
(M) Hammer as shown in Figure 13.
14. Slide the forked hook of the (N) Head into the housing available at the top of the (C) Torso Frame as shown in Figure 14.

16. Connect all cables to their corresponding
cable by color as shown in Figure 16.
17. Close the back of the (O) Costume
using the available hook & loop closures
as shown in Figure 17.
15. Attach the Sensor to the inside of the
(O) Costume using the available hook &
loop closure as shown in Figure 15.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. The infrared sensor distance and ambient temperature are directly related. When
the body temperature (98.6° F) is different to the ambient air temperature, the
infrared sensor distance will be farther. When the body temperature (98.6° F) is
close to the ambient air temperature, the infrared sensor distance will be shorter.
2. Do not use this item in an environment where air currents are caused by a
window, air conditioning, or air outlet.
3. Do not have the infrared sensor face a direct source of heat such as a heater.

19. Step on the Step Pad to activate the
prop. See Figure 19.
Step Pad (SKU #01181288) is sold
separately and can be purchased
in-store and online at
www.SpiritHalloween.com
20. This prop can be played through an
external speaker (sold separately). To
use this feature, follow steps 1 through 5
on the installation instructions first, then:
Connect the wire from your external
speaker to the jack labelled “SPEAKER”
on the control box. See Figure 20.
21. Adjust the volume level to suit. See
Figure 21.
Note: Use external speakers with an
impedance of 8 ohms only.

18. Follow steps 1 through 5 on the
installation instructions first, then:
Connect the wire from the optional Step
Pad to the jack labelled “STEP PAD” on
the control box. See Figure 18.
22. Follow steps 1 through 5 on the
installation instructions first, then:
Connect one of the transponders to
the prop by inserting the wire of the
transponder into either the Try Me
or Step Pad jack as labelled on the
control box. See Figure 22.
23. Flip the switch on the transponder
to the ON position. Click the button
on the Multi-Prop Remote that
matches the letter on the transponder
to activate the prop See Figure 23 .
24. Follow steps 1 through 5 on the
installation instructions first, then:
Install 4 D Batteries into Spirit
Battery Adapter. See Figure 24.
25. Connect wire from Spirit
Battery Adapter to the 5.9V 2A
adapter port on the control box.
See Figure 25.
26. Turn switch on Battery Adapter
to the ON position to power the prop.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the Power Adapter into a standard power outlet and adjust the settings on the Function Control Box to your liking.
2. Buzzsaw has 3 operation settings which can be found on the main Function Control Box on the (C) Torso Frame:
• Sensor: This switch mode will activate lights, sound, and animation when the Infra-red (IR) sensor is activated and will
operate for 1 audio-cycle with each activation. The Infra-red (IR) sensor has a range of up to 192 m/6.3 ft. and will activate
when someone comes within an 80-degree angle from left-to-right, as well as from above and below.
• “ ” On: This switch mode will continuously operate the lights, sound, and animation of the item.
• “ ” Off/Try-Me: This switch mode allows the item to be activated only if triggered by using a Step Pad or Try Me Button
(Not included). The item will operate for one audio cycle with each Try Me activation. Refer to Assembly Instructions Step 5 for
further details.
• “ ” Volume: Raise or lower the volume using the volume control turn dial, turn all the way down to turn the volume off.

BATTERY INSTALLATION WARNINGS
Battery installation should be performed by an adult.
• Use only batteries recommended in the instructions.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, rechargeable, standard, or different types of batteries.
• Be mindful to insert batteries with correct polarity as indicated.
• Remove all exhausted batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from prop before being charged.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• This product is designed for indoor or covered porch use only, and should not be
placed outdoors subject to the weather.
• This item is not a toy. For decoration only.
• Choking hazard due to small parts.
• Keep all plastic and wire parts away from children.
• This product is intended for use by persons 15 years of age and older. Not
intended for use by children ages 14 and under.
Care and Storage Instructions
For best performance operate your item indoors. When not in use, store this product in it’s original packaging. Keep away
from heat and moisture.
• Please use the transformer supplied by manufacturer.
• Please assemble item according to instructions. Connect all wires according to matching color.
• Children should be supervised by adults. The item should not be grabbed, as it becomes a tipping hazard. Keep all away from
the transformer, as it heats up during operation.
Trouble Shooting Steps
• Be sure to assemble on a flat surface.
• Only use the power adapter that came with this item.
• Make sure all cables are connected securely before operation. NOTE that cables are color-coded and could affect function if
not connected correctly.
