USING THE BLENDER OR GRINDER
1 Assemble the blender or grinder and ensure that the rotary
switch
10
is turned to ‘0’. Remove the lid or the grinder cover.
2 BLENDER: Place the ingredients into the jug
6
and attach
the lid
2
. Remove the lid cap
1
to pour the liquids through
the opening then place it back before you start blending.
For best results do not fill the jug above the 1000ml mark,
especially if using liquid ingredients.
GRINDER: fill the grinder cover half full and attach the grinder
base
4
. Mount the assembled grinder on the motor block
9
and ensure it is safely locked.
3 Turn the rotary switch
10
to desired speed to switch the
appliance on.
SPEED SETTING
1 LOW SPEED - for light blending of liquid ingredients
2HIGH SPEED - for heavy blending with solid ingredients
and thicker liquids.
PULSE SHORT BURSTS OF VERY HIGH SPEED - rough blending
of solid ingredients and thicker liquids, grinding and
short, powerful impulse movements (the dial does not
permanently engage in the ‘PULSE’ setting. You have to
hold the dial or turn it repeatedly in the ‘PULSE’ setting).
After using the blender or the grinder, always turn the switch
to the ‘0’ setting and unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
USEFUL TIPS
1 To achieve the best results when pureeing solid ingredients,
place small portions into the jug one by one instead of
placing a large quantity all at once. Do not overload.
2 When processing solid ingredients, cut them into small pieces
(2-3cm) first.
3 When mixing solid ingredients start off first with a small
amount of liquid. Gradually add more of the liquid through
the opening in the lid.
4 If blending warm liquids or ingredients always ensure that
they are cooled down before blending. Do not fill the glass
jug over 1000ml mark.
5 Always stabilise the blender or grinder by placing your hand
on top of the lid when operating the appliance.
6 For stirring solids or very thick liquid ingredients we
recommend that you use the blender in ‘PULSE’ mode to
prevent the blades from becoming stuck.
