USE & CARE
6

USEFUL TIPS
1 To achieve the best results when pureeing solid ingredients,
place small portions into the glass blending jug
5
one by one
instead of placing a large quantity all at once. Do not overload.
2 When processing solid ingredients, cut them into small
pieces (2-3cm) first.
3 When mixing solid ingredients start off first with a small
amount of liquid. Gradually add more of the liquid through
the opening in the lid
2
.
4 If blending warm liquids or ingredients always
ensure that they are cooled down before blending.
Do not fill the glass blending jug
5
over 1L / 4
cups mark.
5 Always stabilise the glass blending jug
5
or grinding mill
4
by placing your hand on top of the lid
2
or grinding mill
cover
3
when operating the appliance.
6 For stirring solids or very thick liquid ingredients we
recommend that you use the blender
11
in PULSE mode to
prevent the blades from becoming stuck.
CLEANING
MOTOR UNIT
NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT IN WATER.
Wipe the motor unit
9
clean with a damp cloth and dry
immediately with a soft cloth to avoid scratches and water marks
on the surface.
LIGHT CLEANING
BLENDER: empty the glass blending jug
5
and fill it half way with
tepid water and a mild detergent. Place the glass blending jug
5
on
the motor unit
9
and turn the rotary switch
10
several times into the
PULSE setting, holding for a few seconds each time. Empty the glass
blending jug
5
and rinse until clean, then dry.
GRINDING MILL:to clean the grinding mill
4
wipe inside it with a
damp cloth or sponge, using a tepid water with some washing up
liquid, if necessary. Remove any stuck food remains with a small
dish washing brush. Dry immediately with a soft cloth.
THOROUGH CLEANING
BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE CUTTING BLADE INSIDE THE JUG.
THE BLADES ARE VERY SHARP.
BLENDER: Ensure that the grinding mill
4
or blending jug
5
is completely empty before you unscrew the jug base unit
13
.
Carefully detach the cutting blade
7
and wash it. To remove the
stuck food around the blades use a small dishwashing brush.
All parts except the motor unit
9
can be washed by hand
or in a dishwasher. Do not use harsh scourers and aggressive or
abrasive detergents.
