SAUSAGE CASINGS
1 To stuff the sausage casings, first cut them into approximately 60-120
cm lengths. Prick the casing with a pin to allow air to escape while
stuffing. Gather all of the casing over the sausage nozzle except for
the last 10 cm. Place the ground and seasoned meat onto the hopper

As the casing begins to fill, tie it securely at the end. Distribute the
meat through the casing and twist into links as it fills to obtain the
desired size and shape.
3 Fresh sausages should be kept tightly wrapped and stored in a
refrigerator in an airtight container for a maximum of 2 days. They
should always be thoroughly cooked before serving. To freeze
sausages, wrap them carefully and use within 2-3 months.
4 You can make any variation of sausages: pork, beef, lamb, venison,
pheasant, duck, fish, seafood and vegetarian. Making your own
sausages allows you to use only the best ingredients and spices as
well as control the fat content.
5 Sausages with a low amount of fat may taste dry. Adding fruits such
as chopped apple or raisins will add some moisture. Alternatively,
use onions and mushrooms.

USE & CARE

SERVICE
Electric Meat Grinder Instruction Manual
TIPS FOR USING THE MEAT GRINDER
• When operating the meat grinder for the first time, there may be
a slight smell of burning. This represents no danger to the user
and does not indicate a defect in your meat grinder. The odour
will soon disappear.
• Raw meat and fish will preserve more juices if thoroughly chilled
before grinding. When grinding larger quantities, fats from meats can
build up inside the grinding head, decreasing your grinder’s efficiency.
If this occurs, dismantle the appliance, wash all attachments in hot
soapy water and reassemble.
• You can season the meat while grinding (sprinkle onto meat chunks),
after grinding (mix into the meat), or while cooking. When grinding
meat for sausages, it is best to season the meat before grinding to
ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
• Handle meat lightly to prevent compacting. Good quality beef only
needs light shaping. Beef patties should not be flattened in the pan,
as this forces desirable juices out of the meat.
• When cooking extra-lean meat, add a little fat or liquid (such as suet,
eggs or evaporated milk) to improve the flavour and juiciness and
make the meat more tender (suggested ratio: 2 eggs or 4 tablespoons
of evaporated milk or ground suet for per 450 grams of ground meat).
• Refrigerate ground meat immediately and cook within 24 hours. If
freezing, use in maximum 2 months.
• Always clean the meat grinder and the attachments thoroughly
between consecutive grinds and before storing it away.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE FROM THE ELECTRIC SOCKET BEFORE
CLEANING. NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING IN WATER OR
ANY OTHER LIQUID. EXERCISE EXTREME CARE WHEN HANDLING THE
CUTTING BLADE AS IT IS VERY SHARP.
1 Dismantle the appliance in reverse steps shown in the ASSEMBLY
DIAGRAMS E-A.
2 If the cutting plate
10
is stuck, insert a flat screwdriver between
its protrusions and the slot on rim of the grinding head
7
, and
carefully detach.
3 Press the release button
3
to release the grinding head
7
and
remove it from the motor housing
4
.
4 Wipe the motor housing
4
clean with a damp cloth and dry
immediately with a soft cloth, to avoid scratches and water marks
on the surface.
5 Flush used attachments with clean warm water to remove larger
meat debris. Use a brush and warm soapy water (maximum
50°C) to clean thoroughly then rinse well with clean warm water
again. Leave to air dry. Ensure all the parts are completely dry
before reassembling.
6 Wipe all the cutting plates
10
and cutting blade
9
with a cloth
moistened with vegetable oil after each use, and before use if the
appliance was not used for long periods of time.
7 Meat grinder attachments are not dishwasher safe.
8 Do not use harsh alkaline detergents, bleach or bleach
solutions.
