PACKING CHECKLIST –Model SRV930
Medium Capacity Counter Top Scale
ASSEMBLY
STEP 1: Unpack the Scale System and check parts against the PACKING CHECKLIST. If there
are any missing or damaged parts, please call the Service Hotline: [phone].
STEP 2: Turn the SRV930 scale over and slide open the battery compartment cover (Figure 1).
Insert the supplied 9-volt battery per the instructions in the BATTERY REPLACEMENT
section. Slide the battery compartment cover closed until it’s secure. Turn scale over.
STEP 3: Install End Caps over handrails.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
The SRV930 medium capacity counter top scale employs the latest in microprocessor and load
cell technology to provide accurate and repeatable weight data. Operated by one (1) 9-volt battery,
the scale can be used in a fixed location or as a portable scale.
The low power microprocessor circuitry allows the SRV930 scale to derive its power from one (1)
9-volt battery or for continuous operation, the optional AC adaptor (SRV930AC).
The animal’s weight is displayed on a 4½ digit LCD display.
INTENDED USE:
The SRV930 scale is designed for use as an animal weighing system for animals not exceeding 44
pounds. Please read the following warnings to avoid injury to the animal or attendant.
STORAGE and TRANSPORTATION
STORAGE:
If storing this equipment for periods longer than three (3) months, remove the battery. To maintain
proper operation of this instrument, storage and transport conditions should not vary outside the
following conditions: Ambient Temperature 41F to 95F (5C to 35C).
TRANSPORTATION:
To transport the SRV930 scale from one location to another within the office, use the handles to
lift and carry. If moving from inside to a mobile location, SRI recommends using the soft-sided
carry case (SRV930CC) to protect the scale from outside elements.

CLEANING and DISINFECTING
CLEANING:
To clean the display / user interface and other scale contact areas:
Use a soft cloth dampened with water and mild detergent to clean scale surfaces.
Wipe surface with clean soft cloth dampened with water and then dry with clean soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive materials to clean scale surface to prevent damage to the surface
finish.
Do not spray liquid directly onto scale surfaces. Use only a damp cloth.
DISINFECTION:
To disinfect the display / user interface and other scale contact areas:
Use a soft cloth dampened with disinfectant or a damp disposable disinfectant cloth. Cloth
cannot be dripping wet. Follow manufacturer’s instruction on the proper use of
commercially available disinfectants.
Disinfectant solutions with 1% sodium hypochlorite or 70% isopropyl alcohol are suitable
for display / user interface and other scale contact surfaces.
After disinfecting, use a soft cloth dampened with clean water and dry with a soft clean
cloth to prevent buildup of material on scale finish.
Do not use abrasive material to disinfect / clean scale surfaces to prevent damage to the
surface finish.
Do not spray liquid directly onto scale surfaces. Use only a damp cloth.
WARNING: DO NOT SPRAY CLEANING SOLUTION OR LIQUIDS DIRECTLY
ON SURFACES TO BE CLEANED.
WARNING: EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE LIQUID WILL DAMAGE USER
INTERFACE KEYPAD.

BUTTON FUNCTIONS
TARE/ON/OFF The “TARE/ON/OFF” button is used to turn the scale on and off, to tare
the weight or zero the display.
Holding the “TARE/ON/OFF” button for two seconds will manually shut
down the scale.
Kg/Lb The “Kg/Lb” button is used to toggle between units of: lb, oz, lb-oz, or kg.
The default units are set to pounds.
MEMORY The “MEMORY” button is used to recall the weight of the patient from
memory.

BASIC SYSTEM OPERATION
TURNING SYSTEM ON:
Make sure the scale is free and clear of any obstructions and then press the “TARE/ON/OFF”
button to turn the scale on. When scale is ready, “0.00” will be displayed.
Kg/Lb FUNCTION:
Press the “Kg/Lb” button to toggle between lb, oz, lb-oz, or kg displayed weighing units.
The scale will remain in the last mode used unless manually changed. For example: If the last
weight recorded was in kilogram and the scale is shut down, the weight mode will be in kilogram
when the scale is turned back on.
TARE:
The tare function is used to subtract any additional weighed items (example: receptacle) from the
patient’s net weight.
MEMORY:
Press the “MEMORY” button to store the “last weight” for recall if needed. To view the last
stored weight from memory, press the “MEMORY” button again to return to the original value.
“MEMORY” will hold last stored weight until the memory is replaced with another stored
memory (the memory will not zero).
NOTE: The “MEMORY” button will not store weight that is less than two pounds (one
kilogram).
HOLD ARROW INDICATOR:
The HOLD ►arrow at the left bottom of the LCD display will at first flash while weighing. Once
weight has stabilized the arrow stays solid.
REWEIGHING (NEXT USE):
To reweigh the same or different patient, be sure the tray is free and clear of any objects. Press the
“TARE/ON/OFF” button to zero the scale. When “0.00” is displayed the scale is ready for use.
TURNING SYSTEM OFF:
The SRV930 scale can be programmed to auto-shut down at 120, 180, 240, or 300 seconds.
Pressing the “TARE/ON/OFF” button until the scale turns off will conserve on the battery life.
To change the auto shut down time press the “TARE/ON/OFF” button to turn the scale “ON”.
Press and hold the “Kg/Lb” button until the display reads “UNIT”. Press the “Kg/Lb” button
until the display indicates “A.OFF”.
Press the “MEMORY” button once. The display will indicate one of the following “OFF, 120S,
180S, 240S, or 300S”. Toggle the “Kg/Lb” to select the desired shut down time. Once selected,
press the “MEMORY” button to save. The display will revert back to “A.OFF”. Press the
“Kg/Lb” button and toggle through features until the word “END” is displayed. Press the
“MEMORY” button to save your changes, the display will return to normal mode.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The battery icon on the left side of the display will lose segments as the battery life wanes. The
low battery indicator “LO” will display on LCD display when battery’s power is insufficient to
operate the scale.
STEP 1: While the tray is empty, turn the scale over with the feet facing in the upward position.
STEP 2: Slide the battery compartment cover open as the arrow on cover indicates (Figure 3).
STEP 3: Remove and unclip the old 9-volt battery and properly dispose of.
STEP 4: Clip in a new 9-volt battery.
STEP 5: Replace the battery compartment cover.
STEP 6: Turn the scale over to an upright position.
STEP 7: Press the “TARE/ON/OFF” button to confirm scale is operating.
NOTE: If using the optional AC power supply, the battery icon remains on and full, even if there
is no battery installed (Figure 4).

CALIBRATION
STEP1: Press and hold the “TARE/ON/OFF” button until the software version is displayed,
then press “Kg/Lb”three (3) times and release the “TARE/ON/OFF” button. The display will
show an offset number.
STEP 2: Press the “TARE/ON/OFF” button. The display will read “0” (Scale is now in
calibration mode).
STEP 3: Ensure scale is in kilogram mode.
STEP 4: Place a 20 kg calibrated weight on the scale platform (Display will show a span count
between 2000 ~ 16000).
STEP 5: Press “TARE/ON/OFF” button one (1) time. Display will read CAL and then read
“20.00 kg”.
STEP 6: Remove the weight. Display will read “0.00”. Calibration is now complete. Press the
“TARE/ON/OFF” button to turn scale off.

IMPORTANT
CALIBRATION CHECK Qualified service personnel only should perform this
procedure. Load cells have no user serviceable components and should not be tampered
with for any reason. Re-calibration is generally not required, but should be verified
periodically to ensure accuracy. The recommendation for calibration check is at least
once every 12 months, or as individual maintenance policy requires.
IMPORTANT
This scale is factory calibrated and ready for use.
