IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

operation, servi e, and the repair of this equipment. Failure to omply with these
pre autions or with spe ifi warnings in this manual violates safety standards of
design, manufa ture, and the intended use of this equipment.
Do not operate in an explosive atmosphere!
Do not operate this equipment in the presen e of flammable gases or fumes.
Operation of any ele tri al instrument in su h an environment onstitutes a definite
safety hazard.
Water, moisture, heat and humidity
Do not operate this equipment near water or in areas with wet floors or in high
humidity atmosphere where ondensation forms on the equipment. It should never
be pla ed near or over a heat register or other sour e of heated air and it should not
be installed or operated without proper ventilation.
DMX connections
DMX 3/5/RJ45 XLR onne tors are lo ated on the front panel of devi e. These are
separated into two groups. First group is wired in ratio 1:1 and marked as IN and OUT.
This line should be terminated by the termination swit h marked as “T”. When line is
terminated by 120R resistor, the red LED T indi ator is on.
The other part of splitter onsists of 10-way opti ally isolated lines marked with
numbers 1 - 10. Ea h line has a separate power supply and a line driver + indi ation
of signal on both signal lines with two LEDs marked as 2, 3.

By default, without any in oming signal, all LEDs are off and the ON LED indi ator
indi ates the devi e is on main power. The T. termination LED is ON when the
termination swit h is a tivated.
When the DMX able is onne ted to the devi e, all LEDs marked as 2 / 3 or the sign
of signal polarity goes ON and this indi ates that DSR10N is fun tioning properly and
retransmitting the input to the splitted outputs. If any of LEDs is off, he k the able
first – if there is short ir uit on line, the respe tive LED is off.
