2Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Die Geräte (Empfänger und Steckernetzgerät) ent-
sprechen der Richtlinie 89/336/EWG für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit. Das Steckernetzgerät
entspricht zusätzlich der Niederspannungsrichtlinie
73/23/EWG.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
●Die Geräte sind nur zur Verwendung im Innenbe-
reich geeignet. Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf- und
Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0–40°C).
●Auch wenn der Empfänger ausgeschaltet ist, hat
das an das Stromnetz angeschlossene Stecker-
netzgerät einen geringen Stromverbrauch.
●Nehmen Sie den Empfänger nicht in Betrieb und
ziehen Sie das Steckernetzgerät sofort aus der
Steckdose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Steckernetzgerät oder
am Empfänger vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie die Geräte in jedem Fall zur Reparatur
in eine Fachwerkstatt.
●Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-
nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien
oder Wasser.
●Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
rechtrepariert,kann keineHaftung fürdarausresul-
tierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine
Garantie für die Geräte übernommen werden.
3Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Empfänger TXS-860 bildet in Verbindung mit
zwei Funkmikrofonen ein zweikanaliges drahtloses
Mikrofonsystem. Mit diesem System können Musik
und Sprache von den Mikrofonen drahtlos zum
Empfänger übertragen werden. Die Reichweite be-
trägt ca. 30m und ist von den örtlichen Gegeben-
heiten abhängig.
Aus dem Sortiment von „img Stage Line“ können
z.B. folgende Funkmikrofone mit dem Empfänger
TXS-860 kombiniert werden:
Sollen die Geräte endgültig aus dem
Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben
Sie sie zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung
einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
WARNUNG Das Steckernetzgerät wird mit lebens-
gefährlicher Netzspannung (230V~)
versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie
selbst Eingriffe am Netzgerät vor.

2Safety Notes
The units (receiver and plug-in power supply unit)
correspond to the directive for electromagnetic com-
patibility 89/336/EEC. The plug-in power supply
unit also corresponds to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
Please observe the following items in any case:
●The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0–40°C).
●Even with the receiver switched off, the plug-in
power supply unit connected to the mains supply
has a low current consumption.
●Do not operate the receiver and immediately dis-
connect the plug-in power supply unit from the
mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the plug-in power
supply unit or to the receiver,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
●For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no
means chemicals or water.
●No guarantee claims for the units and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the units are used for
other purposes than originally intended, if they are
not correctly connected, operated, or not repaired
in an expert way.
3Applications
In combination with two wireless microphones the
receiver TXS-860 makes up a two-channel wireless
microphone system. This system allows wireless
transmission of music and speech from the micro-
phones to the receiver. The range is approx. 30m
and depends on local conditions.
It is possible to combine e.g. the following wire-
less microphones from the “img Stage Line” range
with the TXS-860 receiver:
If the units are to be put out of operation
definitively, take them to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment.
WARNING The plug-in power supply unit is sup-
plied with hazardous mains voltage
(230V~). Leave servicing to skilled
personnel only. Inexpert handling
may cause an electric shock hazard.

4Aufstellmöglichkeiten
Der Empfänger ist als Tischgerät oder für den Ein-
schub in ein Rack (482mm/19") vorgesehen. Für
den Rack-Einbau die beiden beiliegenden Montage-
winkel links und rechts am Empfängergehäuse
anschrauben (siehe Abb. 1) und die vier Gehäuse-
füße abschrauben. Im Rack wird für den Einbau eine
Höhe von 1HE (1 Höheneinheit = 44,5 mm) benötigt.
Sollen beim Rack-Einbau die Empfangsanten-
nen auf der Frontseite montiert werden, die als
Zubehör erhältlichen Montagewinkel TXS-35BNC
von „img Stage Line“ anstelle der beiliegenden Win-
kel verwenden. Die Winkel sind mit je einer BNC-
Buchse ausgestattet, die über ein festangeschlos-
senes Verlängerungskabel mit der Antennenbuchse
des Empfängers verbunden wird.
Um die Antennen in einem größeren Abstand
zum Empfänger anzubringen, können alternativ die
Montagewinkel TXS-100BNC von „img Stage Line“
verwendet werden. Die Länge des Anschlusskabels
dieser Winkel beträgt 1m.
5Anschlüsse herstellen
1) Die beiden Audioausgänge CHANNEL2 (15) und
CHANNEL 1 (16) des Empfängers können an je
einen Mikrofoneingang eines Mischpultes oder
Verstärkers angeschlossen werden. Alternativ
lässt sich das Mischsignal der beiden Empfangs-
kanäle über den Ausgang MIXER OUT (14) an
einen Mikrofoneingang oder an einen hoch-
empfindlichen Line-Eingang anschließen.
Den entsprechendenAnschluss zum nachfolgen-
den Gerät herstellen. Das nachfolgende Gerät
jedoch erst einschalten bzw. den entsprechen-
den Mischpultregler erst aufziehen, wenn das
Mikrofonsystem komplett eingeschaltet ist.
2) Den Kleinspannungsstecker (18) des Netzgerä-
tes in die Buchse DC INPUT (12) des Empfän-
gers stecken.
3) Das Steckernetzgerät in eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50Hz) stecken.
Der Empfänger lässt sich aber auch über jede
andere 12-V-Gleichspannungsquelle (z.B. Auto-
batterie, Netzgerät) versorgen, die einen Strom
von mindestens 300mA liefern kann. Für den
Anschluss wird dafür ein Kleinspannungsstecker
5,0/2,1mm (Außen-/Innendurchmesser) benö-
tigt. Am Mittelkontakt muss der Pluspol anliegen.
6Bedienung
1) Je eine der beiliegenden Antennen (9) in die
BuchsenANTENNA-2 (10) undANTENNA-1 (17)
stecken und die beiden Antennen senkrecht stel-
len.
2) Den Empfänger mit dem Schalter POWER (7)
einschalten. Die Betriebsanzeige (6) leuchtet.
Die weiteren Einstellungen sind für jeden Über-
tragungskanal getrennt durchzuführen. Die folgen-
den Bedienschritte beziehen sich auf einen Kanal.
3) DieAnsprechschwelle der Störunterdrückung ein-
stellen. Dazu das entsprechende Mikrofon noch
ausgeschaltet lassen. Den Regler SQUELCH (1)
im Uhrzeigersinn in die Position „10“ drehen. Die
Empfangsanzeige MIC ON (2) darf nicht leuchten.
Wenn die Empfangsanzeige leuchtet, werden
Störungen empfangen. Zur Unterdrückung der
Störungen den Regler SQUELCH gerade so weit
entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis die
Empfangsanzeige erlischt. Den Regler danach
nicht weiter entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn dre-
hen, sonst wird eventuell auch das Mikrofon-
signal unterdrückt.
4) Das Mikrofon einschalten. Am Empfänger muss
die Empfangsanzeige MIC ON (2) leuchten. Die
Empfangssignalstärke wird durch die LED-Kette
RF-LEVEL (3) angezeigt. Bleiben die Anzeigen
(2 und 3) dunkel, ist der Empfang zu schwach:
aIst die Batterie des Funkmikrofons ver-
braucht?
bIst der Abstand Mikrofon–Empfänger zu groß
(max. ca. 30m)?
cWird der Empfang durch Gegenstände in der
Übertragungsstrecke gestört?
dLässt sich der Empfang durch Schwenken der
Antennen verbessern?
eIst die Rauschsperre mit dem Regler
SQUELCH (1) zu hoch eingestellt? Siehe
Punkt 3).
5) Das nachfolgende Gerät einschalten bzw. den
entsprechenden Mischpultregler aufziehen. Wird
der Ausgang MIXER OUT (14) verwendet, das
gewünschte Lautstärkeverhältnis der beiden
Empfangskanäle untereinander mit den Reglern
VOLUME (5) einstellen, d.h. die Signale mischen
und mit dem Schalter LEVEL(13) den Ausgangs-
pegel grob an den Eingang des nachfolgenden
Gerätes anpassen.
6) Wird das Mikrofonsystem durch eine zu hohe
Lautstärke am Mikrofon übersteuert, leuchtet die
rote LED der Pegelanzeige AF LEVEL (4) auf –
unabhängig vom Regler VOLUME (5). Die Laut-
stärke der Schallquelle muss reduziert oder der
Mikrofonabstand zur Schallquelle vergrößert
werden.
Ist die Lautstärke am Mikrofon zu gering, ergibt
sich ein schlechter Rauschabstand. Die Lautstärke
der Schallquelle muss erhöht oder der Mikrofonab-
stand zur Schallquelle verringert werden.
7) Nach dem Betrieb den Empfänger mit dem Schal-
ter POWER ausschalten. Nicht vergessen auch
das Mikrofon auszuschalten, sonst ist bei dem
nächsten Betrieb die Batterie verbraucht. Wird
der Empfänger längere Zeit nicht gebraucht, das
Steckernetzgerät aus der Steckdose ziehen, weil
es trotz ausgeschaltetem Empfänger einen gerin-
gen Strom verbraucht.
WICHTIG!
Die Audioausgänge auf keinen Fall an einen
phantomgespeisten Mikrofoneingang anschlie-
ßen, anderenfalls wird der Empfänger beschä-
digt. Deshalb ggf. vor dem Anschluss unbedingt
die Phantomspeisung am entsprechenden Gerät
ausschalten!
4Setting-up
The receiver is provided as a table top unit or for the
insertion into a rack (482mm/19"). For rack installa-
tion screw on the two supplied mounting brackets at
the left and right sides of the receiver housing (see
fig. 1) and screw off the four housing feet. In the rack
a height of 1 rack space (= 44.5mm) is required for
the installation.
For mounting the receiving antennas to the front
side for rack installation, use the mounting brackets
TXS-35BNC by “img Stage Line” available as ac-
cessories instead of the supplied brackets. The
brackets are equipped with one BNC jack each
which is connected to the antenna jack of the receiv-
er via a fixed cable.
To attach the antennas at a larger distance to the
receiver, the mounting brackets TXS-100BNC by “img
Stage Line” can alternatively be used. The length of
the connection cable of these brackets is 1m.
5Connections
1) The two audio outputs CHANNEL 2 (15) and
CHANNEL 1 (16) of the receiver can be connect-
ed to one microphone input each of a mixer or
amplifier. Alternatively the mixing signal of the
two receiving channels can be connected via the
output MIXER OUT (14) to a microphone input or
a highly sensitive line input.
Make the corresponding connection to the follow-
ing unit. However, only switch on the following unit
or open the corresponding mixer control if the
microphone system is completely switched on.
2) Connect the low voltage plug (18) of the power
supply unit to jack DC INPUT (12) of the receiver.
3) Connect the plug-in power supply unit to a mains
socket (230V~/50Hz).
The receiver can also be supplied via any other
12V DC voltage source (e.g. car battery, power
supply unit) able to deliver a current of at least
300mA. For the connection a low voltage plug
5.0/2.1mm (outside/inside diameter) is required.
The positive pole must be at the centre contact.
6Operation
1) Plug one of the supplied antennas (9) each into
the jacksANTENNA-2 (10) andANTENNA-1 (17)
and place both antennas in a vertical position.
2) Switch on the receiver with the POWER switch
(7). The POWER LED (6) lights up.
The further adjustments have to be made
separately for each transmission channel. The
following operating steps refer to one channel.
3) Adjust the threshold for the interference suppres-
sion. For this purpose, leave the microphone in
off position.Turn the SQUELCH control (1) clock-
wise to position “10”. The reception indication
MIC ON (2) must not light.
If the reception indication lights up, interfer-
ences are received. To suppress the interferen-
ces, turn the SQUELCH control counter-clockwise
until the reception LED is just extinguished. Do not
turn the control counter-clockwise any further,
otherwise the microphone may also be suppres-
sed.
4) Switch on the microphone. The reception indica-
tion MIC ON (2) at the receiver must light up. The
power of the reception signal is indicated by the
LED row RF-LEVEL (3). If the indications (2 and
3) remain dark, the reception is too poor:
aIs the battery of the wireless microphone
exhausted?
bIs the distance between microphone and
receiver too long (max. approx. 30m)?
cIs the reception disturbed by any objects in the
transmission path?
dCan the reception be improved by turning the
antennas?
eIs the threshold for the interference suppres-
sion adjusted too high with the SQUELCH
control? See item 3).
5) Switch on the following unit or open the corre-
sponding fader on the mixer. If the output MIXER
OUT (14) is used, adjust the desired volume ratio
of the two receiving channels with each other
with the VOLUME controls (5), i.e. mix the sig-
nals and adjust the output level coarsely to the
input of the following unit via the LEVEL switch
(13).
6) If the microphone system is overloaded by an
excessive volume at the microphone, the red
LED of the level indicationAF LEVEL (4) lights up
– independent of the VOLUME control (5). The
volume of the sound source must be reduced or
the microphone distance to the sound source
must be enlarged.
If the volume at the microphone is too low, a
poor S/N ratio will result. The volume of the
sound source must be increased or the micro-
phone distance to the sound source must be
reduced.
7) After operation, switch off the receiver with the
POWER switch. Remember to switch off the
microphone as well, otherwise the battery will be
exhausted the next time the microphone system
is used. If the receiver is not used for a longer
period of time, disconnect the plug-in power sup-

IMPORTANT!
Never connect the audio outputs to a phantom-
powered microphone input, otherwise the re-
ceiver will be damaged. If required, prior to con-
