1. Find the three (3) brake activation cables. Disengage
each cable end from the cable lever plate, and remove
each cable from the cable anchor bracket.
2. Using pliers, remove and save the two (2) return
springs from the cable plate and cable anchor bracket.
3. Using ratchet, 7/16 socket and wrench, remove and
save the two (2) 1/4-20 bolts and nuts securing the
cable lever plate to the foot control bar. Set cable lever
plate aside.

are provided to show the required steps for the
replacement of the central lock mechanism. Any
product disassembly for access to the central lock
mechanism is at the discretion of the installer
performing the service but should be limited to the
installers knowledge of this product.

4. Using a 1/8” Allen wrench, remove the shoulder screw
that retains the lock mechanism cover and attached
mechanism components. Discard these items.
5. Using ratchet, 7/16” socket and wrench, remove and
save the two (2) 1/4-20 bolts and nuts securing the brake
latch actuator to the foot control bar. Discard the brake
latch actuator.
6. Using ratchet and 7/16” socket, remove the two (2) 1/4-20
bolts securing the right foot pedal to the foot control bar (6a).
Remove the right foot pedal and remove the left foot pedal
and bar assembly (6b). Save these items for reassembly.
7. Using ratchet, 7/16” socket and wrench, remove and
save the two (2) 1/4-20 bolts and nuts securing the brake
mechanism mounting plate. Discard mounting plate.

8. Remove and discard the old bushing from the cable
anchor bracket (8a). Install the supplied bushing into the
cable anchor bracket as shown, making sure it is fully
seated in the bracket (8b).
9. Install the replacement mechanism mounting plate and
secure it to the frame using the 1/4-20 bolts and nuts removed
from the old mechanism in step 7.
10. Install the supplied bushing into the mounting plate as
shown, making sure it is fully seated.
11. Slide the right hand lock guide down onto the top of
the mounting plate until it rests securely in the top cutout
in the plate.

12. Reinstall the left foot pedal and bar assembly (12a). Reinstall
the right foot pedal and secure it with the 1/4-20 bolts removed
in step 6 (12b). Be careful not to overtighten bolts.
13. Align the brake toggle actuator over the mounting holes
in the foot control bar and secure it with the 1/4-20 bolts
removed in step 5.
14. Make sure that the right guide pin on the brake toggle actuator
is engaged in the track of the right hand lock guide.

15. Install the left hand lock guide onto the top of the mechanism
cover plate, as shown, making sure it is fully seated .
16. Align the actuator spring, as shown (16a). Slide the spring
over the outside of the housing on the rear mounting hole of the
lock guide (16b). Make sure the rear arm of the spring is routed
inside the cover plate.
17. With the actuator spring on the mounting hole housing, load
the actuator spring by placing the opposite free end of the spring
through the notch in the cover plate.
18. Align the assembled mechanism cover plate over the mounting
holes in the mounting plate. Make sure that the left guide pin on the
brake toggle actuator is engaged in the track in the left hand lock guide.
Secure the mechanism cover plate to the mounting plate with the supplied
1/4-20 bolts and nuts.
19. Refer to page 2 and reverse disassembly steps 1-3 to reassemble
remaining components and complete the replacement procedure.

1. Encuentre los tres (3) cables de activación del freno.

2. Con unos alicates, retire los dos resortes de retorno
de la placa del cable y del soporte de anclaje del cable
y guárdelos.
3. Con una llave de trinquete, una llave de tubo y una llave
mixta de 7/16 pulgadas, retire y guarde los dos (2) pernos y
tuercas de ¼-20 que aseguran la placa-palanca del cable a
la barra de control de pie. Ponga a un lado la placa-palanca
del cable.

4. Con una llave Allen de 1/8 pulgada, retire el tornillo de
resalto que retiene a la tapa del mecanismo de bloqueo y
a los componentes sujetos al mecanismo. Deseche estos
elementos.
5. Con una llave de trinquete, una llave de tubo y una
llave mixta de 7/16 pulgadas, retire y guarde de dos (2)
pernos y tuercas de ¼-20 que aseguran el actuador
del pestillo del freno a la barra de control de pie. Deseche
al actuador del pestillo del freno.
6. Con una llave de trinquete y una llave de tubo de 7/16
pulgadas, retire los dos (2) pernos de ¼-20 que aseguran
el pedal derecho a la barra de control de pie (6a). Retire el
pedal derecho, el pedal izquierdo y el ensamble barra (6b).
Guarde estos elementos para volver a ensamblarlos.
7. Con una llave de trinquete, una llave de tubo y una
llave mixta de 7/16 pulgadas, retire y guarde los dos (2)
pernos y tuercas de ¼-20 que aseguran la placa de
montaje del mecanismo del freno.
Deseche la placa de montaje.

8. Retire el manguito aislador viejo del soporte de anclaje
del cable y deséchelo (8a). Instale el manguito aislador
provisto en el soporte de anclaje del cable como se muestra,
asegurándose que quede completamente asentado en el
soporte (8b).
9. Instale la placa de repuesto de montaje del mecanismo
y asegúrela al armazón con pernos y tuercas de ¼-20
retirados del mecanismo viejo en el paso 7.
10. Instale el manguito aislador provisto en la placa de
montaje como se muestra, asegurándose que quede
completamente asentado.
11. Deslice hacia abajo la guía de bloqueo derecha
sobre la parte superior de la placa de montaje hasta
que descanse firmemente en el corte superior de la placa.

12. Vuelva a instalar el pedal izquierdo y el ensamble barra (12a).
Vuelva a instalar el pedal derecho y asegúrelo con los pernos de
¼-20 retirados en el paso 6 (12b). Tenga cuidado de no apretar
en exceso los pernos.
13. Alinee el actuador acodado del freno con los orificios de
montaje de la barra de control de pie y asegúrelo con los
pernos de ¼-20 retirados en el paso 5.
14. Asegúrese que la clavija guía derecha del actuador
acodado del freno esté enganchada en el carril de la guía
de bloqueo derecha.
