IMPORTANTE
• Antes de manipular el disco duro, utilice una pulsera antiestática para enviar las
descargas eléctricas de su cuerpo a tierra física.
• No use ni almacene este equipo en lugares donde existan goteras o salpicaduras
de agua.
• Siempre utilice un paño suave, limpio y seco para limpiar el equipo.
1. CARACTERÍSTICAS
El adaptador para unidad externa USB está diseñado para transferir datos
mediante la nueva versión USB 3,0, lo que permite mayor rapidez y capacidad de
almacenamiento. Es compatible con discos duros de 3,5 pulgadas SATA.
Convierte cualquier disco duro en una unidad externa USB, lo cual es muy útil
para transportar, respaldar o transferir datos de un equipo a otro. Está fabricado en
aluminio que ayuda a disipar el calor y prolongar la vida del disco duro (no incluido).

2. CONTROLES
1. Encendido / Apagado
Enciende o apaga la unidad externa.
2. Entrada de alimentación
Permite conectar el adaptador de corriente incluido.
3. Conector USB
Entrada de cable USB 2,0. Permite conectar la unidad externa a una
computadora.

3. INSTALACIÓN DEL DISCO DURO
1. Quite los tornillos y retire la cubierta trasera de la
unidad.
2. Jale el soporte hacia la parte delantera.
3. Conecte el disco haciendo coincidir los conectores SATA. Asegúrese de que
queden bien jos.
5. Coloque el disco en el interior de la caja haciendo
coincidir las guías con el riel.
4. Coloque las dos guías en los oricios para
tornillo del disco.
6. Vuelva a colocar los tornillos de la cubierta trasera para asegurarla.
En caso de que no tenga conocimientos acerca de modicaciones en el disco
duro, se recomienda acudir con un técnico especializado. De otra forma podría
dañar el equipo.

4. INSTALACIÓN DE DRIVERS
Si tiene instalado Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 u 8 en su computadora, no
necesita instalar controladores.
5. MODO DE USO
Una vez que haya realizado las conexiones internas correspondientes, podrá
comenzar a utilizar su nueva unidad externa para disco duro.
1. Inserte el cable USB B en la entrada de la unidad externa; el extremo contrario
conéctelo a un puerto USB 2,0 ó 3,0 de la computadora.
2. Conecte el adaptador de corriente incluido a la unidad externa y a un
tomacorriente casero.

El diseño del producto y las especicaciones pueden cambiar sin previo aviso.
4. Una vez que termine este proceso, aparecerá un mensaje para indicar que el
equipo está listo para usarse.
5. El disco duro aparecerá como un Dispositivo de Almacenamiento Masivo USB y
será identicado con una letra (F o G normalmente, aunque podría ser otra).
6. Para transferir archivos entre las unidades, simplemente copie y pegue los
archivos utilizando el Explorador de Archivos.
7. Cuando desee retirar el equipo, presione el botón izquierdo del ratón
sobre el ícono o y seleccione Extracción Segura. Cuando en la pantalla
aparezca el mensaje “Es seguro retirar el hardware”, podrá desconectarlo con toda
seguridad.
3. Encienda la unidad externa. La computadora detectará el nuevo
equipo y comenzará un proceso de actualización automática.

PÓLIZA DE GARANTÍA
Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todas sus partes y mano de obra, contra
cualquier defecto de fabricación y funcionamiento, a partir de la fecha de entrega.
CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente esta póliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en
Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin
ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción del
producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer válida esta
garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.
ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARÁ EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrónica Steren S.A.
de C.V.
El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa comercial donde adquirió
el producto. Si la presente garantía se extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su proveedor para que le
expida otra póliza, previa presentación de la nota de compra o factura respectiva.

• Before handling the hard drive, use an antistatic wrist strap to send static electric
energy from your body to ground.
• Do not use or store this equipment in places where there dripping or splashing
water.
• Always use a soft, clean, dry cloth to clean the equipment.

version. It is compatible with 3.5” SATA HDD, and easily can convert internal HDD
to external USB driver.

2. CONTROLS
1. On / Off.
To turn on or off the external drive.
2. Power input
It allows to connect the supplied power adapter.
3. USB connector
USB 3.0 cable entry. It allows to connect the unit to a computer.

3. HARD DISK INSTALLATION
1. Remove the rear cover of the unit by removing the
screws.
2. Pull the cover toward the front.
3. Connect the disk matching the SATA connectors and make sure that they are
rmly xed.
5. Place the disc in the inside of the box guides and
align with the rail.
4. Place the two tabs into the holes for screws
of the disc.
6. Replace the screws on the rear cover to secure it.
Where does not have knowledge about changes in the hard drive, it is
recommended to go with one technical specialist, another way could damage the
equipment.

4. INSTALLATION OF DRIVERS
If you have installed Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or 8 on your computer, no
need to install drivers.
5. HOW TO USE
Once you have made the internal connections, you can start to use your new
external drive to hard disk.
1. Insert the USB B cable at the input of the external unit and connect the other
end to an available USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on the computer.
2. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the external drive and a home outlet.

4. Once this process is done, a message will appear that the device is ready for
use.
5. Your hard drive will appear as a USB mass storage device and you will be
identied with a letter (F or G normally, but could appear again).
6. To make the transfer of les between different units, just copy and paste the les
using the le explorer.
7. When you want to remove the equipment, press the left button of the mouse on
the or icon and select safe removal. When the display shows the message
“It is safe to remove hardware”, you can disconnect it safely.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship
and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1. This warranty card with all the required information, invoice, product box or
package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
2. If the product is in the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3. The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was
received.
4. Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accessories to customer, as well
as warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky
batteries, failure to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized
personnel, improper safe keeping, among others.
a) The consumer can also claim the warranty service in the purchase establishment.
b) If you lose the warranty card, we can reissue it, if you show the invoice or purchase
ticket.
