STIHL recommends the use of original STIHL
replacement parts and accessories.
WARNING
￭ To reduce the risk of hearing damage, wear
sound barriers (ear plugs or ear muffs).
￭ A cracked, damaged or worn out mowing
head may shatter at high speeds and cause
serious or fatal injury. To reduce risk of injury
from broken parts, check condition of
trimmer, mowing head and tighten screws
before starting work and at regular short
intervals thereafter.
￭ Mowing head: Replace the mowing head
immediately if its wear marks (1) become
visible, A. Do not use. Never attach a
wear plate to a worn mowing head.
￭ Wear plate: Replace the wear plate
immediately if its wear marks (1) become
visible, B. Do not use.
￭ Replace the polymer blades if any one
becomes reduced in length to less than
83 mm (3.2 in.). To ensure proper balance,
all polymer blades must be replaced at the
same time.
￭ Do not use the mowing head if the polymer
blades are worn, C. Replace the polymer
blades immediately.
￭ Check freedom of movement of the bearing
bushings before replacing the polymer blades
or the wear plate D. Wash the bearing
bushings (2) and collar screws (1) in a non-
flammable liquid before replacing the polymer
blades or the wear plate, then dry and
lubricate with STIHL Multispray (3) sold
separately. Run for a brief period (about 5
minutes) and then retighten the collar screws.
Keep polymer blades and mowing lines in a
water bath between 12 hours and 24 hours
before use to increase their useful life.

rated and marked as complying
with ANSI Z87 "+" (US), EN 166
(Europe) or your national standard.

estado de la motoguadaña y la cabeza
segadora, y apriete los tornillos antes de
iniciar los trabajos y luego realice
inspecciones frecuentes a intervalos
regulares.
￭ Cabeza segadora: Sustituya la cabeza
segadora de inmediato si las marcas de
desgaste (1) se hacen visibles, A. No la
use. Nunca monte una placa de desgaste en
una cabeza segadora desgastada.
￭ Placa de desgaste: Sustituya la placa de
desgaste de inmediato si las marcas de
desgaste (1) se hacen visibles, B. No la
use.
￭ Sustituya las cuchillas de polímero si alguna
ve su longitud reducida a menos de 83 mm
(3,2 pulg). Para asegurar un equilibrio
adecuado, sustituya todas las cuchillas de
polímero al mismo tiempo.

gafas o anteojos protectores bien
ajustados con protección lateral,
resistentes a impactos y que
porten designaciones que

(Europa), o la norma nacional
correspondiente.
